Chapter 6 - Suisui's Counterattack

Wen Gu's voice was very close, low and pleasant, like a deep-sea Yao Beast, carrying a hint of Beguiling that made people want to sink into it.

But at this moment, Suisui didn't have any of those tender thoughts. This uncontrollable reaction of her body frightened her.

So she didn't have the mind to care what Wen Gu wanted to say; her mind was constantly thinking about how to get away.

Wen Gu looked into Suisui's eyes, bright with a hint of unease, which he could feel.

He could also feel Suisui's resistance to him. Suisui was actually very similar to him in some ways: outwardly gentle and polite, but inwardly cold and aloof.

Rejecting others' closeness!

So he could only take the initiative to break down this barrier; otherwise, he wouldn't have a chance to win the beauty's heart in this lifetime.

He lowered his head, trying to get closer to Suisui, attempting to soothe her.

The voice soothed gently, "Don't be afraid, I won't hurt you."

"I..."

"Mmm..."

Before Wen Gu could finish speaking, Suisui stomped on his foot!

Caught off guard, he took the full brunt of the stomp and instinctively let out a cold snort.

Fortunately, Suisui was wearing flats today, otherwise, she would have surely stomped him into a painful expression.

Not satisfied, Suisui went to stomp with the other foot, but Wen Gu was prepared this time and dodged!

Taking the opportunity, Suisui broke free from the restraint and ran straight for the door.

Coincidentally, she ran into Zhao Zhao, who had come looking for her. Suisui, without a word, pulled Zhao Zhao with her towards the door!

Zhao Zhao looked at the hurried Suisui with a puzzled expression and asked, "Suisui, what's wrong? What happened?"

Suisui shook her head, "Nothing, I just remembered that I brought food in my lunchbox, so I won't bother Sister Wang."

She didn't want to tell Zhao Zhao. If Zhao Zhao knew what she had just gone through, she would definitely go find Wen Gu, and she didn't want to cause trouble.

After all, she understood the difference in status between them and Wen Gu. Fighting against him was like throwing an egg against a rock; it wasn't a wise move.

Moreover, the cliché of a domineering CEO falling in love with a stubborn white flower wasn't suitable for everyone.

In the darkness, there was more manipulation, abandonment, and even deeper exploitation, ultimately leading to the loss of oneself.

They weren't meant to be together and shouldn't have any intersection, so she didn't want to hear anything Wen Gu had to say.

She just wanted to leave here safely with Zhao Zhao now.

Wen Gu stretched his foot that had been stepped on, and looked at the fleeing Suisui, shaking his head and laughing: "Still a little pepper that stings."

"Running so fast, am I that scary?"

"Young Master, are you alright!"

Uncle Chen was standing behind Wen Gu, he didn't know when.

"Young Master, you are not scary at all, who wouldn't say you are as handsome as a jade tree in the wind, and dashing when they see you."

He was so anxious just now, he was almost successful, why did the young master let the little girl run away?

And the bodyguards wanted to chase, but the young master stopped them.

This would surely make the little girl misunderstand! It'll be even harder to chase after her in the future.

Besides, it's also the young master's fault for being so blunt, not understanding a bit of romance. What girl doesn't like gifts? He didn't prepare anything, just stared at her and dragged her into a conversation. Who else would she take her frustrations out on?

However, on the surface, he didn't dare to show the slightest dissatisfaction, fearing that the young master would send him back to the old mansion. Then he'd be beaten to death by his own father.

He followed Wen Gu with his head lowered and eyes downcast, sincerely praising his young master.

Unfortunately, his praise didn't make Wen Gu happy. Instead, he glanced at him: "Uncle Chen, the lines are a bit old, try something new."

Suisui left, and Wen Gu didn't feel like staying in the garden anymore. He quickly walked back to the living room and sat on the sofa, lost in thought.

The little girl was covered in thorns; she was really difficult to approach.

Should he force her?

He had countless methods to keep Suisui by his side; force was the most direct.

But he didn't want to do that now. He didn't know why, but when facing Suisui, his heart would uncontrollably soften.

It was an uncontrollable, violent pounding, an extreme mental pleasure. He couldn't bear to force himself on Suisui.

The image of Suisui's slightly frightened eyes flashed in his mind again, and a pang of heartache welled up within him. He didn't want Suisui to fear him.

After all, he wanted to win Suisui's love, to make her fall for him and willingly stay by his side.

Mutual affection was his ultimate goal; a loveless relationship was only a last resort.

But, how exactly should he pursue this young girl?

Previously, because of his status and position, coupled with his handsome appearance, women in both Hong Kong and M Country would flock to him in droves.

He'd always been the one to just knock people away, never giving them a chance to get close.

He never thought he'd be the one chasing after a girl!

(Heh… Watching others fall in love is more interesting.)

Uncle Chen watched his young master sitting on the sofa, deep in thought. Although he outwardly appeared the same as usual, the way he was rubbing his ring seemed to betray him.

So, he bravely stepped forward and asked, "Young Master, would you like to hear how other people chase girls?"

"It might help you, you know?"

Wen Gu heard his suggestion and glanced at him. Seemed? Probably? Not bad?

He was just about to make a phone call, but then he remembered those few good-for-nothing friends!

Suddenly giving up, both of them were money-making machines and mental perverts, only interested in money, and had never chased girls.

If they gave any bad ideas, people would run even faster!

Far across the ocean, Alan, one of the twins, sneezed. Andy, his twin brother, looked at him:

"Alan, you're being rude!"

Alan shrugged. His brother was a complete neat freak, a perfect gentlemanly sculpture, and certainly couldn't stand him sneezing like that.

But he wasn't even getting a cold, so why was this happening all of a sudden?

Could it be the superstition Jc had mentioned about China?

Thinking of Wen Gu, who'd gone back to China, it seemed he had been gone for quite a while this time, hadn't he?

"Andy, don't you think Jc has been gone for too long?"

"According to the usual, shouldn't we have received his return flight information this afternoon?"

Andy glanced at his twin brother and didn't respond.

However, Jc seemed to be a bit different this time, which was also the first time they had encountered this.

And their good buddy, Wen Gu, whom they were talking about, was struggling with how to pursue a young girl.

Uncle Chen, who was beside him, watched as his young master fiddled with his phone, but didn't make a single call, and couldn't help but feel anxious.

Is it so difficult to ask someone how to pursue a young girl?

Aren't the young master's friends all world-class elites?

Navigating the darkness and temptations of M Country with ease, repeatedly plundering the world's wealth and stirring up a storm in the financial world, how is it that chasing after a little girl is so difficult?
