Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: The System Send a Messenger

Chapter 12: The System Sends Messenger

The S-Rank Anomaly didn't look like a dungeon.

There was no gate.

No countdown.

Just a hole in reality hovering above the sea, miles from the city.

The air around it bent unnaturally.

[Warning]

Anomaly Type: Non-Dungeon Entity

Evacuation Recommended

Governments panicked.

Guilds refused to approach.

Satellites failed when aimed at it.

And then—

The system spoke again.

Forced Participation

[System Directive]

Kang Tae-Hyun

Mandatory Response Issued

The message hovered in front of him.

Seo-Ah grabbed his sleeve. "Bro… that's new."

"They're not asking anymore," Seung-Ho said nervously.

Tae-Hyun stared at the window.

Then smiled faintly.

"So this is how you blink," he said.

He stepped forward.

The message shattered like glass.

[Directive Rejected]

For the first time—

The system lagged.

Arrival at the Anomaly

Tae-Hyun stood on an empty shoreline.

Waves froze mid-motion as the anomaly pulsed.

Then—

Something stepped out.

Humanoid.

White armor fused to its body. No face. No emotion.

A voice echoed directly inside Tae-Hyun's mind.

"Irregular Entity Kang Tae-Hyun."

"I am a System Enforcer."

Seo-Ah felt it from miles away and dropped to her knees.

"That presence…" she whispered. "It's not human."

The Enforcer raised its hand.

"Compliance is no longer optional."

What an Enforcer Is

Data streamed into Tae-Hyun's vision—unwanted, forced.

Enforcers were created after the first world failure

They corrected heroes who grew beyond prediction

They erased variables that threatened the narrative

"So that's it," Tae-Hyun said calmly.

"You don't protect worlds. You protect control."

"Correction ensures survival."

"Liar."

A Battle Without HP Bars

The Enforcer moved.

No skill activation.

No warning.

Reality tore as it struck.

Tae-Hyun blocked—barely.

The shockwave flattened the shoreline.

[Warning]

HP Measurement Unavailable

Damage Type: Conceptual

"This thing isn't attacking my body," Tae-Hyun realized.

"It's attacking my existence."

The Enforcer spoke again.

"You should not remember the previous world."

Silence.

Tae-Hyun's eyes widened.

"…So you do know."

Mana exploded outward.

The sea finally crashed down.

Why the World Reset

Tae-Hyun laughed softly—dangerously.

"The first timeline didn't fail," he said.

"It escaped."

The Enforcer hesitated.

Just for a fraction of a second.

"That's why you reset everything," Tae-Hyun continued.

"Because someone beat you."

He stepped forward.

"You're not here to stop me."

He clenched his fist.

"You're here because you're afraid I'll remember how."

The First Crack

Tae-Hyun struck.

Not with power.

With will.

The Enforcer staggered.

Its armor cracked.

[Critical Error]

Enforcer Integrity: 91% → 63%

Across the world, systems screamed.

[Emergency Notice]

Unauthorized conflict detected

Observer privileges suspended

Seo-Ah felt it—and stood up.

"He's fighting… the system," she whispered.

Declaration

The Enforcer recovered, voice distorted.

"Irregular… you will be erased."

Tae-Hyun raised his hand.

"No," he said calmly.

"You'll go back and tell them something."

He stepped closer.

"This world isn't theirs anymore."

The sky split open.

And for the first time—

The system felt pain.
