Chapter 6: Actually… That Was Just a Clone

On the morning road, Uchiha Jingyan walked alone, carrying his small backpack.

Orochimaru had left.

Before leaving, he had also given Jingyan a few things.

Three scrolls.

One was a Wind Release jutsu—Wind Release: Gale Great Breakthrough, a B-rank technique, an advanced version of Wind Release: Great Breakthrough.

One was a Fire Release jutsu—Fire Release: Great Fire Dragon.

The last was the most basic Three-Body Technique.

Normally, Orochimaru's way of doing things was hard to predict.

But now one thing was certain—this meeting was only the beginning between the two of them.

These scrolls alone proved that Orochimaru had not given up.

"Jingyan! Good morning!"

On the road, a slightly nervous voice sounded.

A spiky-haired boy stood beside a utility pole, wearing a not-so-natural smile.

"Morning," Jingyan replied lightly, though his gaze at Obito was a bit strange.

This guy usually didn't enter the classroom until the bell rang.

Coming this early today—he was probably unable to sleep after breaking that Hyuga kid's arms yesterday.

Jingyan understood.

After all, before completely turning dark, this guy was still a sunny simpleton.

"Hehe!"

Seeing Jingyan greet him, Obito brightened and hurried over.

"Jingyan… I want to discuss something with you," Obito whispered as he leaned closer.

"What is it?"

"Well… can you teach me how to train?"

After hesitating, Obito finally said it.

He had thought about it all night.

He didn't know why Jingyan always kept such a low profile…

But Jingyan must have his reasons.

With Jingyan's strength, even if his theory grades were as bad as his own, his practical combat ranking would definitely be near the top.

And yesterday, if not for him, Jingyan might not have exposed his strength.

That made him feel guilty.

A five-year-old's heart is that simple.

Right now, Obito had only one thought:

Humbly learn from his clansman, so that if something like this happened again, he could repay him.

"Training?" Jingyan was momentarily stunned.

He was a complete sports idiot!

If you asked him how to finish a book fast, he could give you ten thousand methods.

But training…

Jingyan felt troubled too.

The system's main quest was to make him graduate as soon as possible.

The system shop was waiting for him to open it…

And all of that depended on his life energy and chakra.

Training was urgent.

Obito's eyes grew more hopeful.

Jingyan felt more conflicted.

Suddenly—

An idea flashed through his mind!

"Obito… I really don't know how to explain training to you."

"But, if you're willing…"

Jingyan explained his idea, while also taking out the scrolls Orochimaru had left.

Orochimaru was right.

The Ninja Academy really couldn't teach him much.

Will of Fire?

Nine years of compulsory moral education says hello.

And now, with time short and tasks heavy, he only had one path left.

Skip class. Train.

Better yet, bring Obito along so they could push each other.

His eyes moved to the system panel.

The ninjutsu list had already updated.

[Fire Release: Great Fire Dragon Lv1 (0/100)]

[Wind Release: Gale Great Breakthrough (0/100)]

[Three-Body Technique (0/100)]

He silently spent 20 research points on the Three-Body Technique, then spoke mysteriously.

"Actually, the me who goes to school every day is just a clone."

"Yesterday, the one you saw just happened to be the real body. Now, if you're willing…"

"We can go train together."

Train together. Skip class together.

Hope once again filled Obito's eyes!

What could be more exciting than that?!

"Really?! Jingyan!" Obito's voice was full of excitement and gratitude.

He never thought this clansman would treat him so well.

Not only did he help him fight, he even told him such an important secret!

Then he absolutely couldn't let Jingyan down…

And so—

Just like that, on the road to school in the morning, there were still two figures.

Those were their clones—both created by Jingyan alone.

The footsteps of the two figures were strangely in sync…
