Mars wakes up from his bed. Then he took a shower. Then dress up.
He remembers Ares shouting come back anytime.
He looks at his search engine and map. Then in an app, he inputs to visit Ares. Then his eyebrows crossed, and ask himself; "Why would I visit Ares on my birthday break?" Then he giggles out of nowhere and press send on it.
He goes to a Car. There is a silver heard older gentleman in black suit and Red tie. "Well,well,well... How's my Lion?" asked him. "Dad. I already closed the deal on that okay, Minerva can..." replied Mars. "Minerva is a weak willed,little kitten... Pathetic. Glad I chose the proper Child among you and your siblings...your youngest brother only ever wanted is art and colors, encouraged by your mom... I mean, he's good, but still" replied by him.
"Sir Marshal, I think we have a tad bit of problem..." said the Secretary in the front sit.
The Silver haired gentleman takes it as he takes out his glasses. "Urgh... Mars, take this... I promised I won't interfere..." implied Marshal as he grins.
Mars smugly grin and say, "Bunch of Pussies,they're needing the Lion. We have a deal to make." replied Mars.
Hours later; In the Martian Lion Company
The Financial Director closes the slide.
Mars was pondering in the meeting room.
"President Mars?" asked by the secretary. "Oh, I'm sorry... I was just... Thinking." said Mars. "Oh no, the scary part is starting!" whispered by a younger woman.
"Vice President Minerva. I expect you,to,be a tad bit formal." said Mars with a very intimidating pressure surrounds the room.
"I'm Sorry Brother, It's just.... There are 3 inconsistencies..." said Minerva. Mars grins in happy manner. Mars looks at another woman. She thumbs up. Mar giggles a liitle. The room stops. Mars became serious again.
Minerva looks at Mars. "Well done, as expected." said Mars. Minerva's eyebrows crossed in confusion. "No no, I'm kind of, a little bit proud." said Mars as he looks at the sunflower mug, the same as the one in Ares cabin. He smiles. They look even more confused.
"I'm just...thinking…" said Mars. They tense up again. You know what, I'll have a vacation. Vice President Minerva. Is in charge. It's been... quite sometime." said Mars. "Yes brother, it will ease your loss a little... It's been... 2 years?" asked Bellona.
"Yes.Executive Bellona." replied Mars as he stands up. "Anyways, It's temporaralyy. Everyone, dismiss." said Mars as they all went outside.
A Blonde,blue eyed boy runs towards Mars.
"T-Rex!!! How is my baby nephew?" asked Mars. "Well, I saw that Dinosaur movie!" said Rex. "Mars! Me and Minerva will be going, Rex, let's go." said by Bellona as she Carries Rex. Rex waves goodbye to Mars.
Mars goes to the Penthouse and lay on his bed. He opens a cabinet with a sunflower printed paper. He reads it putting both a smile and a tear on his face.
In the Cabin
Ares was chilling on the porch as a twin women, one of them, sees him. "Hey there handsome, want to have some fun? Want to join us?" asked her along with what looks like a picnic barbeque. "Sorry ladies, I'm a bit tired after harvesting, tell the Innkeeper the vegetable will be delivered later, enjoy the beach though, if you need help, I'll be here." said Ares. She giggles. Ares winks as he covers his face with a cowboy hat.
Someone walks towards him, with rattles of few beer can. Ares takes of his hat. "You promised me a drink right?" asked Mars. "Fuck yeah." said Ares as they sit next to each other and drink beer on the porch.
Ares looks at Mars in shorts, shades and tank top.
"You really do look like you work out a lot." Said Ares.
"Thanks, I do. So, my thoughts won't eat me too much." Said Mars as he raises his beer can to Ares. Ares smiles and cheers with him as they drink.
"Thanks few days ago." Said Mars. "No problem, you know, you got a friend in me." Replied Ares as they stare at the beach, enjoying the drink. Ares looks around and say, "Seems you did not bring your car."
"Yup, took the bus this time." Said Mars as he takes out a sunflower seed bag. Ares eyes bulges in joy as he smiles. "I love eating these. Usually with my Selene and Mene and Mom." Said Ares as he starts to eat the sunflower seeds. They keep eating the seeds and drink and laugh.
Later at sunset. Ares and Mars giggles drunkenly as they Mars rests his head on the table. "Hehe...I'm too drunk I started to say none-sense. But yes, Selene..." said by him as he yawns. "Is too kind for her own good." said Mars again as he yawns as he looks to the right. Ares was also resting his head on the table, staring at him. Out of drunkenness, they laugh again.
Mars remembers Selene, doing the same but there heads on the floor on the memory, laughing.
In the present, his eyes are tearing up uncontrollably.
They stare at each other. "Why are you crying?" asked Ares. "Me? No, why are you crying?" asked Ares they wipe their tears. Ares wipes his teary eyes too. "Hey, no, but seriously. Why are we crying?" asked Ares.
"I missed Selene. Maybe because you,and her are family, your values are the same..." said Mars. Ares squeezes his shoulder and shake it softly. "There there..." said Ares.
Mars started to hiccups they laugh. "I should put you in bed." implied Ares. Mars giggles. "Thanks." replied Mars. "Alley-hop!" said Ares as he carries Mars to his shoulder. "Dude, what did they feed you, you are too strong." Said Mars. "I'm a farmer dude, of course I am strong." Replied Ares as he opens his room and put Mars on his bed.
Ares takes a comforter and pats it down next to his bed. "Join me! I mean, it's your bed of course." Said Mars., "Goodness. I insist, you're a guest." said Ares. "Oh come on." said Mars as he moves closer to Ares.
"You know, sometimes, you need to be selfish." said Mars as he looks at him. "I am though. Maybe?" replied Ares as he looks at Mars.
They stare at each other and smile. They look at the ceiling.
"I, I kind of, wanted to be here. I can't understand why though. It's just, maybe I need someone I can trust." said Mars as he looks at Ares.
"I kind of, love the company... a good company." said Ares as he looks back at him. "Thanks. I don't feel, as lonely anymore." said Mars as he dozes off.
Ares smiles as he cover Mars with his comforter blanket and put a pillow between them. Ares looks at the window at the moon and slowly slumber.
In Mar's dreams. It was his wedding, then Selene and him buying a house. Then Mars being the president of Martian Lion with Selene by his side.
Then him and Selene on a Lake house on a calm, rainy deep blue sky, while she was crying,holding her tummy.
Mars goes to her and holds her shaking hand as she faces him,crying as he hugs her.
Then he looks Selene as they ride the car on a flower field near a cliff. Selene smiles a little, looking at the Sunset as Mars hugs her as she hugs back.
The next morning,
Ares and Mars was very close to each other. Mars wakes up first as he notices Ares looks so calm and close to his chest in a fetal position and shaking a little.
Mars realizes something as he holds Ares hand, Ares murmurs as he stops shaking and hugs his shoulder. Mars kisses him in the forehead as Ares stops shaking. Mar's eyes bulges as his brow crosses.
"The fuck am I doing?" asked Mars to himself.
Then he remembers that their Foster dad was abusive towards Ares. Makes him frown a little as he gently hold Ares' hand again and hums Selene's lullaby.
Few hours later
Mars was eating a sandwich as Ares wakes up. "Sup sleepy head." said Mars.
"Damn, that was... Did we just drink a whole barrel?" asked Ares. "Pretty mucch yes, the hangover is... too much for being 30 plus here!" said Mars as he hands a sandwich. "Goodness, I better moderate my drinking, having nightmares if I over drink,also… Thanks." said Ares as they eat, looking at the ocean on an orange ,vanilla blue ,and deep blue sunrise.
"This is nice." said Mars he looks at Ares.
Ares looks at him while munching a sandwich as they both smile. Ares blushes and looks away. "I got to, deliver the vegetables. I'll be back." Said Ares.
"I'm not going anywhere." Said Mars. Ares looks back as Mars raises his eyebrows up and down. Ares giggles. Then Mars giggles.
Ares goes to his barn, took his horse and pack up the vegetables to a crate.
Mars calls on his phone. The other line receives it.
"Bellona… Yeah, yes. Tell the driver to pick it up on an Inn. Yup. To be honest, I am impressed; no. It's closer to small farm. Oh, who's this, Roar for uncle… That's my t-rex. I will bring you sometime if your mother is not busy. Okay, okay, Give it to aunt Bellona first,okay, in my Birthday, I'll bring you here. Love you T-rex. Yup," said Mars.
In the Other line. Bellona and an older woman was sunbathing. She looks at the Older woman as the older woman gives her a shh sign. Okay, The older woman giggles a little as they look at each other. I mean, you sound happy... So, I don't mind. Yes you are, we been siblings for like 25 years now… I know, but, having a break is good. Goodness broskie, you sound cute this time. Yes you are, yes you are. No no, just, We miss this side of you. If Mother-dear is here…she would be happy too!" replied Bellona. The older woman walks away and laughs. Marshal sees them.
"Anya?! You're back!." Said Marshall. "Shhhh, dear, our baby-boy…oh my. I wonder who the lucky lady is?" Said Anya.
Ares was deep in thought.
"So why you are here though? I mean, you are welcome to stay...I just, have one bed though, I am not rich. So, I offer it to you." said Ares. "Nah, I'll make you into my pillow..." said Mars as he laughs. "Stop. It's awkward. I mean. Huuh." As he realizes it and Ares giggles. He looks down as his Eyebrows crossed.
"What thus that even mean?" asked Ares.
"Nah, I won't be staying that long, I need to run an empire." said Mars as he walks away towards his car and drive home.
Ares smiles and look at him go away. Ares flusters as he says, "Pillow." as he chuckled. He looks at the nearby Barn, looking at his horse and goats.
"Sorry guys, there is a rain till afternoon..." said Ares. His Horse neighs. He goes to the poultry corner.
In the City
Mars goes inside a Mansion. His younger sisters was talking to each other as the youngest brother on his early twenties carrying a Canvas with an artwork. Mars smiles looking at the three of them bantering. Achilles looks at Mars. He looks at the Canvas. "Big brother?" asked his him.
"Yes, yes, Achilles." said Mars. He gives the canvas of sunflower field artwork with Selene next to it.
"Happy 36th birthday." greeted Achilles. "Thanks, but I'm 37 now... Well,Look, I'm not going to get mad, you just need to tell m what's what?" asked Mars.
Achilles looks at Mars. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!" shouted all of them as people started to gather with birthday cakes and food. Mars smiles with an open mouth.
"Hey! Hey! I know you been lonely so..." said by one of his friends as strippers comes out. "Hey! I know a place in Somwhere 2 hours from here!" said one of them. "Oh I have a better one." Replied Mars.
In the Cabin on the evening
Ares looks at the Cold Sea on the vanilla Blue twilight as Women walking around looks at him. "Hey Cowboy, join us?" ask one of the twins.
"I mean, why not.I have some time." said Ares as they go to a Tavern. "Oh the Barmaids and Ares." said the Innkeeper.
"Howdy." replied Ares.
Ares looks around as he dances with the Barmaids as he looks around people dancing.
Mars, along with women next to him, hamburgers him in a hug, he was very drunk.
They are blond women.
Mars and Ares' eyes catches glimpse they both pause as Ares tips his hat to Mars, as he dances with the twin barmaids to a cowboy community dance, side by side with him.
Mars drinks beer and continue to enjoy himself. He partied so did Ares.
Then they music continued. Mars was exhausted. "I thought you have an empire to run?" asked Ares.
"Yup, it sucks ass, but, the board, my family, everyone decided for me, to at least have an actual time off.. like what I said to them." said Mars.
"As usual, if you want to join me in the cabin,that would be great." said Ares as he hiccups. Mars giggles as he moves closer and they cheers and chug beer. "Don't mind if I do. Mr. Pillow." Replied Mars. They laugh.
Few more drinks later.
"I never got, a good whole sleep, for the past, how many years was it? 2. I never felt...alone." said Mars. Ares looks at him. Mars stares back as they paused,looking at each other." They look away, as Mars and Ares was pulled by the women they came with as they joined dancing.
The Stoic innkeeper smirks looking at Ares.
They stop by and drink their beers as Ares joins back dancing.
Mars smiles as he drinks as the women he came with started to kiss each other, Mars smiles with an open mouth, so did Ares seeing them as the kissing women goes to the bathroom. Mars and Ares look at each other as they laugh. They cheers again. "That was awesome." Said Mars. "Tell me that again." Said Ares as they cheers agai and chug.
In the tavern next morning.
Mars wakes up in his tank top and red Pajama. He do push ups and goes downstairs. Ares was in his cowboy attire as he looks up. "Oh, hey there cowboy." greeted Mars. "Howdy." replied Ares. "Okay Okay..." said Mars. He goes down later in more formal suit and tie. "Dude. We are going to the farm." said Ares.
"Fine..." answered Mars.
He goes down in a Red Plaid Shirt and jeans. "Better." said Ares as they go outside.
