Chapter 34 - Chapter 34: The Carnage that Profanes Justice

Inside the cabin on the top floor of the warship.

Through the thick bulletproof glass, two CP0 agents dressed in white suits and wearing eerie masks watched everything happening below with cold indifference.

Another agent, wearing a smiley-face mask, stood with arms crossed, his voice sounding somewhat shrill from behind the porcelain.

"Should we take action?"

The scene on the deck made him feel slightly uncomfortable.

"That guy in red and that Foundation warrior are our targets."

"It doesn't matter if these small fry below all die."

The tall agent took a sip of red wine, his gaze falling on the two figures engaged in a fierce battle on the distant ice field.

"No rush."

"The order from the Gorosei is to 'recover'."

"Since a Marine Admiral is here, let them handle this kind of dirty work."

"We only need to ensure the targets fall into the government's hands at the final moment."

"As for these Marine soldiers..."

He sneered and drained the red wine in his glass.

"Sacrificing themselves for justice is their honor."

The screams on the deck had changed their tone.

They were no longer the dying wails of humans, but the chewing sounds of beasts tearing raw flesh, mixed with the explosive pops of bones being forcibly twisted.

"Finger Pistol!"

Puchi!

A young Marine soldier didn't even have time to raise his gun before his throat was pierced by a pitch-black claw.

The monster attacking him had been his friend and fellow townsman just a moment ago.

Now, it wore a face with only half its flesh remaining, its fingers as hard as steel, accurately stabbing into his trachea.

Not far away, Smoker's entire body was trembling.

White smoke swirled frantically around him, revealing the extreme turmoil within its master's heart.

This was the true source of despair.

These infected monsters didn't just inherit the physical capabilities of their hosts.

They even retained muscle memory.

The Six Powers that the Marines were so proud of had now become the most efficient weapons for massacring their comrades.

"Ron!!!"

Smoker roared, his jitte, imbued with the heavy aura of Sea Stone, smashed down hard toward the feasting monster.

Clang!

Sparks flew everywhere.

The monster Ron did not dodge.

The vertebrae in its back suddenly pierced through its uniform, transforming into a row of sharp bone spikes that forcibly blocked Smoker's attack.

"Iron Body."

Although the movement was deformed and the posture twisted, it was indeed the technique of Iron Body.

"Roar—!"

The monster turned its head.

In those eyes filled with ink-black color, there was no reason, only the most primal hunger for flesh and blood.

It grinned, revealing a mouth full of shark-like fangs, and let out a provocative roar at Smoker.

In the next instant.

The monster's figure vanished into thin air.

"Shave!"

"Damn it!"

Smoker's pupils constricted, and his body instinctively elementalized.

Swish!

Sharp claws tore through the smoke.

Although physical attacks were ineffective, the foul-smelling virus clinging to the claws gave Smoker a jolt of fear.

If he hadn't dodged quickly, even a single drop of blood...

"Is this... hell?"

Tashigi gripped Shigure, her back against the cabin wall, her face as pale as paper.

Looking around.

The once neat and majestic warship deck had now turned into a Shura Field.

Black blood splattered everywhere; every drop that hit the ground corroded it, releasing pungent white smoke.

Bitten Marine soldiers would mutate within seconds and then join the ranks of the carnage.

The numbers were increasing.

Increasing geometrically.

One hundred... two hundred... the defensive line was collapsing.

At the center of the battlefield.

Kuzan's originally calm and composed expression finally changed.

Although he had long known that Blacklight possessed an extremely fast transmission speed, witnessing this scene with his own eyes still shocked him.

An entire fleet of elite Marines had been almost completely wiped out in such a short time.

Such a thing should not exist in this world!

On the other side of the battlefield, in the fight between Abel and Deadpool, Abel was clearly at a disadvantage.

Having switched to the second stage of Blacklight, Deadpool's strength and speed had increased more than tenfold, and by continuously absorbing elite Marines during the battle, his power had reached a terrifying level.

While Kuzan wanted to use Abel to test Deadpool's strength and trump cards, Mordred also had the idea of using him to verify his own strength.

If he could go toe-to-toe with a Marine Admiral, he could basically do as he pleased on this sea.

After all, immortality was just too authoritative...

On the ice field.

Boom!

A massive roar exploded, and ice shards flew everywhere.

Abel's figure flew backward, plowing a trench several meters deep into the ice until he finally stopped by smashing through an iceberg.

"Cough..."

Abel stood up from the shattered ice, the black tattoo on his chest dimming slightly.

The tower shield in his hand was severely deformed, covered in dense dents.

"Too slow! Too slow! Too slow!"

Deadpool's extremely arrogant voice echoed through the wind and snow.

By now, Deadpool had completely changed his appearance.

His original red and black suit had been torn apart, replaced by a suit of black and red biological armor covering his entire body.

His hands had transformed into two giant blades, each two meters long, and the tentacles behind his back spread out like a peacock's tail, with each tentacle tip holding half of a mangled Marine corpse.

He was "feeding."

Through the tentacles of the Blacklight virus, he was continuously drawing biomass energy from the battlefield.

"This feeling... it's just so high!"

Deadpool laughed wildly, his legs suddenly exerting force.

Bang!

The once-hard ice field instantly collapsed into a large crater.

His speed was twice as fast as before!

Even Abel's superhuman kinetic vision could only capture a red afterimage.

Swish!

The blades swept across.

Abel instinctively raised his tower shield to block.

Crack!

That tower shield, condensed from void energy, was actually sliced clean through like a cracker.

Along with Abel's left arm, it flew into the air.

"Old man, you've gotten weaker."

Deadpool kicked Abel in the chest.

Thud!

The dull thud of the impact sounded like a drum.

Abel was sent flying like a cannonball, smashing hard into the side of the flagship where Kuzan was.

Steel twisted, and wood splinters flew.

The warship shook violently; the Marine soldiers on the deck screamed in terror, clutching the railings tightly to avoid falling off.

At the bow of the flagship.

Kuzan had his hands in his pockets, his originally lazy expression now completely gone.

His eyes behind the sunglasses were as cold as a pool of stagnant water.

His ears were filled with the dying wails of his subordinates, and his nose was haunted by the nauseating smell of blood.

Not even the Buster Call on Ohara all those years ago had made him feel this angry.

This was no longer a war.

This was a slaughter.

A profanation of life.

He slowly pulled his hands out of his pockets.

Cold air.

A chill a hundred times stronger than before suddenly erupted from his body.

Kuzan lifted his foot and took a step forward.

Crack!

Ka-ka-ka-ka-ka—!!!

The teeth-gritting sound of freezing spread frantically in all directions, centered on Kuzan.

It moved so fast that it even surpassed the speed of sound.

On the flagship's deck.

Ron, who was about to plunge his claws into a recruit's chest, suddenly froze.

He remained in his clawing posture, the layer of writhing black muscle on his body instantly turning grayish-white.

Immediately after, a thick layer of ice crystals completely covered him.

It wasn't just him.

The entire warship, along with the Marines and zombies fighting on the deck, all came to a standstill in that instant.

The Marine soldier who was crying and running away still had tears on his face when he became a crystal-clear statue.

Although there might be friendly fire, being able to save their lives in this situation was already quite good.
