"I'm sorry Ben, thank you for the assistance" I said to the old man before me, he made the process of obtaining a weapon easy. I got 4 different katanas that weren't cursed tools to test some things about the Holy Ichor.
"Your welcome sir" He responded respectfully, honestly becoming a special grade 1 was amazing. I'm treated with so much respect, it's like I'm a young master in a cultivation novel.

After sealing each of the containers and putting them in an inconspicuous corner of the room, we left and locked the room. We didn't even get to leave the house before we were called by an elder.
"Futago, Tomogui there is going to be an emergency meeting in 30 minutes, come over to the main headquarters now" The elder's words were transmitted through my phone. I wonder what the meeting is about. I haven't even joined the training group for an exorcism yet.
"Tomogui while I was hospitalized you went on a training exorcism right"
"Yes, the elder picked up a mission for a grade 1 curse to be exorcised, it was me along with the other 6 people that were being trained for the interclan tournament. It was honestly just a waste of time, grade 1 curses aren't worth anything, even a normal special grade curse shouldn't be too difficult"

"Futago, Tomogui thank you for arriving on time, the zenin clan representatives will be coming over within the next 10 minutes" A woman was waiting at the front of the headquarters, probably going to welcome and guide us in.
"Zenin clan representatives?" I asked, why would people from the zenin be coming over.
"Were you not told, the zenin clan sent a few members to check up on us, and also confirm the damage created by that damn vengeful spirit Kuroda" She seemed pretty angry when talking about Kuroda, I wonder if someone she cared for was injured during that battle.
"Oh, I didn't realize that. Would you mind guiding me to the actual meeting room, we haven't ever been there." I said referring to me and Tomogui
"Of course, that's why I am here" She started leading me to the meeting spot. When I got there, it was a big room.
A circular desk, with chairs surrounding it, most of the seats were already filled with 5 seats left empty.
The 4 other special grade 1's were there, alongside the 4 main elders of the clan.
The elders acknowledged my entrance with a small nod, as for the special grade 1's they were a lot more enthusiastic and talkative. They kept asking me questions about Kuroda, how he fought, and what his cursed technique was.
*You're lucky Tomogui, these guys keep hassling me about details of the fight, while you can just sit there.*

And finally Naoya Zenin.
I know these guys, well at least from the anime/manga. They are younger than they were in the main series, Naoya is a teenager at this point. If I am not mistaken he should be 14/15.
Naoya, one of the strongest grade 1 sorcerers. Second only to his father Naobito Zenin. Although it is commonly believed that Kusakabe is the strongest grade 1, I strongly believe in the power of Projection Sorcery.
'Outside of the special grades and toji, they are probably the only humans who could actually defeat me… Although I'd probably win more often than not'
While I was having my internal spiel about powerscaling, an elder from the Kamo clan was having a heated debate with Jinichi Zenin. They were trying to blame the Kuroda incident on Toji, who they assumed was responsible for Kuroda's Vengeful Curse transformation.
'Honestly when I heard about the conjecture they came to regarding Kuroda's transformation I was full of happiness. If the clan knew I did that, I would immediately be regarded as a curse user who created one of the most dangerous calamities of the modern era.'
The kamo clan frankly is really boring, they never did anything in the main story, and they don't have any powerhouses to actually get involved. The most interesting thing about this clan, the death womb paintings, didn't even originate from the clan. It was all Kenjaku.
'Hmm I wonder if I can sneak out. No way, they are all grade 1 sorcerers getting up and walking out unprompted would be completely absurd…'
Suddenly a lightbulb shined in my head
'I got it, the perfect plan to escape this boring meeting. I haven't used this technique since my highschool days.'
"I have to go to the bathroom" I announced before promptly leaving the room, I didn't look back.
"I also have to go to the bathroom," Tomogui announced while rushing out of the room.
In the meeting room, the Kamo elders seemed irritated about my decision to leave.
"I also have to go to the bathroom" Out of nowhere, from the Zenin side Naoya's voice sounded out. He activated projection sorcery and left the room, only a gust of wind from his quick movement indicating that he was ever their.
'Damn Naoya, now I have to stay in this meeting' Jinichi thought, his face darkening.

"That meeting was so boring, right. I was thinking of skipping it, you two must have had the same idea right. Thanks for leaving first though, it made it less awkward when I left" Naoya was there putting his hand on his chest in mock appreciation.
"Hello Naoya Zenin, how have you been? As for skipping … we would never do that, we were just heading to the bathroom" Tomogui reacted first and put his hand out for a handshake.
"Oh really, then could you lead me there, as members of the Kamo clan you probably have a better grasp on where the bathroom is" Naoya responded while grabbing Tomogui's hand and shaking it.
*Should we just ditch him* I asked, honestly I did find his character funny in the manga. I also don't have anything to do when I get home. It's only 2006, phones are heavily limited and I don't have a console to play games.
*I guess we can hang out with him.*

The 2 minute walk following was rather quiet at least until Naoya began speaking again.
"You both have terrifying amounts of cursed energy, almost tenfold of Gojo Satoru." Naoya remarked. Since we both share the same cursed energy pool, people always thought we both just had an equal amount of cursed energy. They never came to the realization that we shared a reserve.
"Really? Although I always knew we both had a lot of cursed energy I didn't ever have someone relevant to compare it to"
"How about the people in your clan?" Naoya asked, seemingly curious.
"When I said relevant I meant strong. There isn't any sorcerer in the clan strong enough to compare myself against."
"... haha you really are funny. What are your names?"
"I'm Futago and he is Tomogui, we are twins." I decided to answer.
"... so you are the one who exorcised the special grade vengeful Spirit Kuroda. I expected the one who beat him to be older. Guess it makes sense why you are so arrogant."
Our conversation entered a quiet state after that.

The moment we got to the bathroom rather than enter he rested on the wall near the entrance and pulled a book out. He started reading this book with a lot of focus, he seemed really interested in the content. That's when I noticed the title

Tomogui and I walked home and just before the meeting was going to end, we decided to come back.
When we arrived the meeting was reaching its ending point, although we got a few stares I didn't care. The awkwardness from the stares was better than wasting 5 hours listening to them talk.
Immediately after the meeting ended we walked home again.
When we got home, I decided to take a look at the swords we put into the Holy Ichor.
'It's complete? The cursed tool we put into the grade 4 Holy Ichor container is complete. It has become a proper grade 4 cursed tool. But how? It should have taken 10 months, did the Holy Ichor accelerate the process that much?'

The transformation into a special grade tool is most likely based on using a special grade Holy Ichor. But special grade tools are tools that have been imbued with a technique. Using Kuroda's Holy Ichor to form a cursed rubik's cube makes a lot more sense then trying to waste his Holy Ichor on a sword or shield.*
*That makes sense, Kuroda's body and cursed technique was heavily related to a rubik's cube. Perhaps using a rubik's cube structure as a base for the cursed tool will allow it to retain more of Kuroda's cursed technique.*

Must go from level to level. Can't skip to a grade 1 cursed tool. Must go grade 4->3->2->1->SG The cursed tool becomes the same level as the pool it bathed in. It makes the Kodoku ritual go 300x faster.
