Alex who had pushed the Blitz and Buster towards the Duel was observing the rear through his MS rear sensors and cam field once he noticed the 2 lose generators getting together against the law of physics he knew John was here to retrieve them. So to keep the ZAFT from noticing him and to prevent them from following Archangel he has to push these 3 away quickly and even damage them to force them back to the ship.
Once he decided the course of action he signalled Eric and Steve to make a heavy saturation attack on the 3 MS damaging their limbs and sensors with the help of the pods of the 2 Zero's forcing them to return to ship just at this time the Archangel started leaving the Artemis and called back Alex and others.
By the time they returned and Archangel left no one noticed the missing generators which were being taken to the Iron maiden and be sent to the Alex Ashford's secret warehouse where Alex will analysis it after getting out of the Archangel in a few days according to his estimate around Feb 13 give or take a day.
The Archangel set course to debris belt .
After few days of travel the Archangel finally arrived at the debris belt after scanning for water they finally only found one place when they reached there everyone was shocked to find it was the remains of Junius 7. The member went over to see and were emotional after seeing they tragic state inside.
In the bridge of Archangel the captain decided to salvage water from Junius 7 when Kira heard it he emotionally asked them if they want to salvage from such a place where so many innocent people died even after seeing it . Mu slowly explained to Kira they are only doing this because it is the only way and no one was happy about it . Slowly everyone was doing the work of getting the frozen water. As for Alex he was patrolling with Kira and others.
After sometime when the water collection was nearly completed. A ZAFT two seater reconnaissance GINN came over to inspect the civilian vessel Kira had seen just before.
Kira wished very hard for the GINN to leave peacefully without noticing the other . But the GINN still noticed the Mistral and started to fire Alex who knew what would happen naturally arrived before the Mistral and blocked the attack and decided to spare Kira the suffer of Killing by shoting down the GINN's weapons and quickly raiding it in his MA form and then disabling it's propulsion bring it with him under the threat of Gun.
Just at that time Kira found Lacus Life Pod and brought it abord the Archangel.
After a little understanding of the situation everyone came to the conclusion that releasing the GINN with Lacus was not an option and decided to think these things later. As for the GINN pilots they throw in the brig and arranged separate locked room from Lacus. Alex had Eric deliver food for the pilots. As for Lacus's food Frey who need to act to make Kira give up on her decided to act the play all the way which caused Kira to deliver the meals him self.
After a few days of travel in the debris belt Archangel finally received communication from the advanced fleet that came from 8th Fleet. While everyone one was happy for the reunion Alex who knew what would happen to it went silently to Frey and told what would happen as a prediction and told Frey to use Lacus to stop them after they left to save the advanced fleet. Frey who was worried for her father agreed to it disregarding the implications of such an act on her or the other in the Archangel.
As expected after Creuset found the advanced fleet he launched the attack causing the Archangel to respond by sending it's forces to save the advanced fleet as much as possible the two sides were in an intense conflict for some time before Frey came to the Archangel's bridge with Lacus to announce her threat this time . Finnally Natarle considered this is the best solution to save the advanced fleet and issued a warning to ZAFT to stop the attack. During this time the Aegis TrueBlue despite keeping the original Aegis at bay still disabled the ZAFT GINN's without killing anyone while keeping George Allster's vessel afloat with everyone on it's bridge safe . Ofcourse this is only possible because Kira also arrived to stall Athrun.
When Athrun heard the threat asked if these are kind of people Kira wants to protect.
Back at the Archangel it joined the advanced fleet and slowly moved away with ZAFT following and Kira unable to accept the use of civilians hostages finally decided to send Lacus away. When Kira brought Lacus to the hanger with the help of other Alex was already there with the 2 ZAFT members in space suits with their hands and legs tied and lying on the ground like worms .
Alex said " if we are going to be a good Samaritans left do it fully I will carry these 2 in the hands of Aegis in MS form let's go. "
While they were on the way Lacus asked Alex what he thinks of the war for which Alex replied that she shouldn't ask him such questions because once he truly participates he will not think of peacefully ending it but would end with absolute crushing victory and he doesn't believe in peace bought by negotiations as most of the time the side that thinks they are strong won't negotiate and even if they did it is only because they feel they need time .
While Alex was done explaining Kira had contacted the ZAFT and asked for Athrun to come alone to receive the ZAFT members and Lacus. Athrun believing in Kira accepted and came alone after which the transfer took but the sad duo still couldn't escape the fate of being held in the MS arms and Creuset wanted to take advantage of the situation launched the attack but was stopped by Lacus and so by the time Kira who after a verbally debate with Athrun and was depressed realised what happened the battle started and ended.
The Aegis TrueBlue and Strike finally returned to Archangel and had their first experience of being court martialed .
But were spared from any real consequences because of Murrue Ramius and Mu La Flaga were siding with them after a few more days of journey the Archangel finally reached the 8th fleet and by this time Alex had changed the the OS settings to match the reflexs of Mu while also setting the color to white after doing that he whispered his devil's words of how his father has 90% chance of die today at the 8th fleet unless she risks her life to pilot the Aegis to protect the shuttle leaving as Alex said he would leave in the Zero's to the Iron maiden although it was a lie .
Worried for her father Frey choose to volunteer to join the Archangel despite George's constant worrying and asking for the reason she only said she will tell after they reach Alaska and when Sai saw Frey stay he followed like that all of Kira and other stayed on Archangel.
While this was going on Alex installed simple Quantum communicators in the Zero's. Although these can be used to control the Zero's remotely they can only do simple movements so they were never used by Eric and Steve they are installing them now because Alex and others want to have one more fail safe other than Frey before they exposed John's Blitz.
Alex and other got in the civilian vessel for Orb without Frey noticing it . And just as the Archangel was preparing for descent adjustments the ZAFT attacked and Halberton ordered to quickly send the civilian shuttle to not be affected by the war . And with the battle starting Kira deployed in the Strike and Mu who didn't know of the Aegis OS changed deployed in the Zero and Frey saw the ZAFT attacking seem have a nightmare of her father's death and angrily went into the Aegis saving the Natural OS made for Mu she changed it to match her abilities quickly and changed the color to pink and launched in the Aegis Gundam everyone in the hanger was shocked to see the Aegis moving thinking that Alex also returned like Kira until the Aegis left and activated it's PS armor turned pink . seeing the pink Aegis not only were the EA shocked so were the ZAFT but just then the civilian shuttle launched from the 8th fleet's capital ship Yzak who was fighting the Strike when he missed the chance to Hit the Strike because of the shuttle fired at it and Frey who just came couldn't stop it in time luckily Alex left a backhand and used one of the Zero's to block the shot another to block the fragments from the exploding Zero barely saving the shuttle and Frey who saw this scene went into seed mode and started attacking Yzak and all other who came to save him in the process killing 2 GINN'S and damaging the Blitz who came to support.
