The passage connecting District C and District B grew even dimmer.
If Shawn hadn't had his 'Headlamp Module', he probably wouldn't have been able to see anything.
As soon as the two stepped onto this passage, they noticed that the piles of corpses on both sides of the passage had suddenly decreased significantly.
The clean ground, instead of reassuring the two, made their expressions slightly heavy.
Because most of the people in this Prison had died here.
If there were none on the ground…
Then these corpses must have moved on their own, wandering to other places.
The two followed the passage around three corners.
As they reached the next corner, Shawn stepped out, but then immediately retreated sharply.
Thump thump--
Shawn's heart suddenly beat rapidly a few times.
He instinctively put one hand over Sean, pressing Sean directly against the wall with a single hand.
"What the hell is that thing?!"
Beside him, Sean, who had been slapped against the wall by Shawn, was a bit uncomfortable.
He struggled hard, wanting to get up and see what was behind the wall.
But he tried... the pressure on his body was unyielding.
He tried hard against the wall to get up, but just as he moved a fraction away from the wall, Shawn pressed him back.
Sean suddenly sighed in the darkness.
Just destroy me...
He was actually 'wall-pinned' by a man.
The problem was, if he was going to be pinned, Sean couldn't resist.
The last time he encountered such a situation was when he was a child and got beaten by his father for causing trouble.
"What???"
Finally, Sean couldn't hold back, forcing down his voice to question Shawn.
It wasn't until Sean's questioning voice reached his ears that Shawn broke free from the scene he had just witnessed.
He slowly released the hand blocking Sean, ignoring Sean's confusion, and tried to peek around the corner of the wall again.
But after just one glance, Shawn immediately closed his eyes and retreated again.
He leaned against the wall, staring wide-eyed at Sean in the darkness.
"Why don't you shine the flashlight and take a look yourself?"
Huh?
Sean was stunned.
It was the first time he had seen Shawn with such an expression.
His curiosity was genuinely piqued by Shawn, feeling a bit itchy.
Sean silently swapped positions with Shawn.
He turned on the flashlight, blocking part of the light with his other palm, then carefully peered around the wall to the right.
The light finally brought a slight degree of visibility to the dark passage.
Sean slowly released the light, shining it upwards.
What appeared in Sean's vision was a pair of scarlet feet.
The owner of these feet seemed to have encountered some powerful pressure, as the foot part was completely fractured, presenting a spine-chilling upward bend.
"Although it looks a bit disgusting, he wouldn't react like that, would he?"
Sean thought silently, finding Shawn's reaction a bit cute.
But as he continued to move the flashlight beam upwards, until he saw the first... the second... the third...
"Hiss--!!"
Sean sharply recoiled.
He shone the flashlight on his and Shawn's faces, winking at Shawn.
"What the hell is that thing?!!"
Watching Sean's mouth shape, Shawn knew he was saying that sentence.
Shawn shrugged helplessly.
'This has nothing to do with him; it's all because of that messed-up mission.'
Of course, Shawn couldn't say this out loud; he could only think it to himself.
He patted Sean, signaling Sean to go behind him, and Shawn poked his head out again.
The second time he saw that thing, Shawn's sanity was much more stable.
He smacked his lips as he looked at it, not expecting these prisoners, after turning into Walkers, to be so playful.
What appeared in Shawn's vision was clearly a 'colossal creature' made up of at least 6 or 7 Walkers!
They seemed to be connected head to tail, with each Walker's body representing a segment of the giant creature's body.
And their unconsciously flailing arms looked exactly like segments of the giant creature's limbs.
Looking from afar.
Rather than saying they were Walkers, it was more like a centipede that had gained sentience.
Walker Centipede!
Although Shawn's second look wasn't as shocking as the first, he still found it incredible.
Despite having mentally prepared for the mission map designated by the system in the apocalypse, this still precisely hit something outside of Shawn's preparation.
The first glance was horrifying; the second glance felt a bit disgusting.
Head to tail connected... so just imagine it yourself; Shawn was too disgusted to describe it.
When Shawn turned his head back, he glanced at Sean, his eyes flicking towards the wall behind him.
Although Shawn didn't speak directly, Sean still understood his meaning.
"Which one of us goes?"
Sean took a deep breath, closed his eyes for a moment, and then suddenly opened them!
It was as if he had prepared to bravely sacrifice himself.
I'll go!
Sean clutched the shotgun loaded with 12-gauge shells tightly and swapped positions with Shawn again.
He took two more deep breaths, seemingly preparing for something.
The next second, he took a diagonal step, and his whole body directly stepped out.
"Are you ready for Halloween?"
Sean hugged the shotgun tightly and fired two 'bang bang' shots at the Walker Centipede.
A few fleeting flashes of gunfire in the darkness illuminated Sean and the body of the Walker Centipede opposite him.
When the metal pellets entered their bodies, the 6 or 7 Walkers simultaneously let out eerie low growls.
It didn't sound like they felt pain; it only conveyed excitement at 'discovering living beings'.
They looked towards Sean, and the uppermost body, instead of advancing, suddenly swung backward.
The next second.
The Walker Centipede, using inertia, suddenly flung forward!
Like a human trebuchet, it directly threw the two Walkers embedded at the very top.
The flashlight's beam illuminated Sean's face; at this moment, Sean's eyes were wide.
Immediately after, his collar tightened, and his feet left the ground as he was literally pulled back by Shawn.
Looking at the two Walkers that had just crashed where Sean had been standing, Shawn couldn't help but curse.
"Damn it, are you a Corn Shooter?!"
"But you're all Walkers!!"
Shawn looked 'ghost-stricken', but he still didn't forget to pick up his giant hammer and walk forward.
"Bored, my friend? Let me help you out."
Shawn didn't smash the head with one swing; instead, he hit the stomach of the first Walker.
Crack--
A crisp sound came from its belly.
Then, Shawn, following a slight recoil, changed the hammer's direction and directly finished off the first Walker.
[Experience + 1200 * 2]
'This Walker Centipede doesn't seem as troublesome as I imagined.'
This was Shawn's first thought.
Except for that somewhat impressive throw just now.
These two Walkers that landed were almost 'tied' together.
They tried to get up but couldn't, only writhing and twitching in place.
Although the first glance had a considerable impact on sanity, that was all...
Having figured out their capabilities, Shawn immediately gained more confidence.
Without any fear, he strode out again, standing directly in the middle of the passage like Sean just now, looking at the Walker Centipede.
"Come on--come on, come on, afraid of you? If I'm afraid of you, I'm not a Calabash Brother!"
Shawn snorted lightly, carrying the great hammer with quite a bit of imposing presence.
But before Shawn could take two steps, the Walker Centipede, which had been stunned in place and only had 5 remaining, suddenly moved its entire body.
Thump--
The Walkers on top pressed down slightly and directly flopped onto the ground.
They twisted their heads almost simultaneously, looking at Shawn.
Their synchronized movements suddenly created a sense of horror.
"Hmm?" Shawn suddenly stopped.
And it was at this very moment that these Walkers, using both hands and feet, swiftly attacked Shawn!
Their bare hands and feet made 'crackling' sounds as they touched the ground.
It sounded like a string of firecrackers going off.
"Eh!"
"Eh!!"
"Eh!!!"
At this moment, even though Shawn had a few years of pig-slaughtering experience... System Level Lv23... Strength Sequence basic attributes maxed out...
He forgot everything; his mind went blank.
Shawn couldn't help but retract his imposing stance, retreating as quickly as he came, carrying his hammer and quickly dodging back.
No other reason, this scene was just too mentally impactful.
Especially in a dim, enclosed corridor with no windows connecting to the outside.
This sense of horror directly reached its peak!
Shawn's heart pounded 'thump thump', and even his adrenaline began to surge wildly.
"Sean!"
"Get ready!!"
Shawn roared, scrambling back behind Sean, positioning himself in the middle of the path.
