As soon as Shaun shone his flashlight.
He clearly saw the faces of the group of prisoners.
A skinny, long-haired man with a small mustache.
A blond man who looked somewhat scholarly.
A small, skinny Black man with a crew cut.
A larger, bald Black man.
And another Black man whose cheeks were covered in fuzzy whiskers and whose body was actually one size larger than the bald man.
The Prison Five.
Shawn paid no attention to who was speaking.
Just as Shaun was aiming, he turned around and used a nylon zip tie he carried with him to tightly secure the double doors.
Only after finishing this did Shawn turn around and look at them with a smile.
"Let me introduce you first. This is Officer Shaun. He has been assigned by command to assist me in rescuing you."
"As for me, I once served in the 75th Ranger Regiment, and I am currently an FBI G14 Supervisory Agent."
"I also serve concurrently as an FBI Tactical Operations Specialist, responsible for hostage rescue and SWAT violent arrest missions."
Shawn spoke extremely quickly, leaving them stunned.
He casually pulled an ID card from an old piece of clothing in his System Backpack, quickly flashed it in front of the group, and then tossed it back into the backpack.
"So... are you here to rescue us?"
Among the prisoners, the blond man asked timidly.
Hearing this, the smile on Shawn's face did not fade.
"I just said that I am responsible for rescue and violent arrest. What exactly happens depends on your actual situation."
At this moment, the long-haired man with the mustache stepped forward, reacting differently.
"FBI?"
"I haven't heard of a G14 as young as you."
He stared intently at Shawn, raising his skepticism.
Hearing the long-haired man say this, the others also looked at Shawn with increased doubt.
"Regardless, can you get us out? What exactly happened outside?"
The blond man's timidity was replaced by a sense of urgency, and he continuously questioned Shawn.
But Shawn only stared intently at the long-haired man with the mustache, raising a hand toward the blond man to signal him to shut up.
Under everyone's gaze, Shawn slowly walked up to the long-haired man with the mustache, the distance between them becoming extremely close.
"So... you are doubting my identity."
At such a close distance, the long-haired man with the mustache couldn't help but swallow.
He felt an intense aura, like a Mountain of Corpses and Sea of Blood, pressing down on him.
He couldn't help but draw the short pistol from his waist, forcing himself to maintain his composure, struggling not to be overwhelmed by Shawn.
"I was just asking."
But as soon as he spoke, the mustached man's imposing manner instantly weakened by a third.
Unsure of what was happening outside, the mustached man might not dare to casually draw a weapon on the FBI and the police.
Of course, Shawn wouldn't give him the chance.
Shawn tightly gripped the mustached man's gun-holding right hand, inserted his finger from the opposite side of the trigger, and directly disarmed the mustached man.
The mustached man watched the gun being taken away by Shawn, angry but daring not to speak.
"Now... hands on your head! Squat down!"
Shawn's voice immediately echoed throughout the cafeteria.
The prisoners seemed to recall the fear of being suppressed just moments ago, and subconsciously squatted down immediately. The blond man, in particular, hugged his head and dared not move.
Shaun held up his shotgun, the muzzle vaguely pointed at them.
Shawn, meanwhile, forcefully dragged a heavy dining table over.
The table legs scraped against the anti-slip coated floor, making a grating'screeching' sound.
This made the already uneasy prisoners even more agitated.
Letting go, Shawn sat down on one of the chairs, facing the prisoners who were squatting with their heads covered.
"Command has given me the authority for Special Handling."
"You should all know that unusual things have happened in the Prison recently. I hope you can all be honest."
"First question: Why are you here?"
Of course, Shawn knew the answer to this question.
Shawn proactively asked this question to observe their reaction and their attitude towards him and Shaun.
Arriving at the Prison half a year early might lead to some changes.
"The Correctional Officer told us to hide here and gave us that gun."
The long-haired man with the mustache was the first to speak. He explained methodically, his gaze fixed on the 'Police Short Gun' Shawn was fiddling with.
Once the long-haired mustached man spoke, the other prisoners dared not say a word.
"Did he let you hide here, or did you kill him and hide here?"
Shawn remained expressionless, looking at the mustached man, his tone impossible to discern.
"Sir, you should follow procedure and evidence when conducting business. Please do not speculate randomly."
The mustached man stared back at Shawn, seemingly believing that by doing so, he could establish authority among the prisoners behind him.
Shawn ignored his statement and instead asked with a smile.
"What crimes were you convicted of?"
This time, the mustached man didn't rush to answer, and the blond man spoke first.
"My name is Axel. I just messed around with some drugs. According to the law, I'll be out in two more years."
"My name is Oscar, I'm a Mechanic, and I drove away a car," the bald Black man said flatly.
"My mother just calls me Big guy. I was sent in for fighting and brawling."
Big guy's eyes didn't match his large physique; instead, they looked somewhat weak.
Hearing he was in for fighting, Shawn suspected he was the one who got beaten up.
"Manslaughter... Thomas."
At this moment, the long-haired man with the mustache spoke.
But when Thomas stated his crime, the prisoners behind him couldn't help but glance at him several times.
'It seems he told them something different.'
Shawn thought to himself.
The mustached man was undoubtedly the leader among the group, and he must have frequently used tactics like 'lies' and 'bluffing'.
"My name is Andrew. Actually, I came to Prison for the Gang."
The skinny Black man spoke last.
Seeing that they had attracted the FBI, even he didn't dare to speak carelessly now.
"The charge..." Shawn drew out his voice, slightly raising his eyelids.
"Will... Willful Homicide."
Andrew's eyes were somewhat evasive.
Now it was the others' turn to look at him in surprise, their eyes filled with astonishment.
Even Thomas couldn't help but turn his head to look at him, his face full of surprise.
They hadn't expected that the person with the least presence among them, who looked skinny and small, was actually guilty of Willful Homicide.
Yet, Thomas, who had the strongest presence, was only incarcerated for Manslaughter.
While they looked at each other, Shawn and Shaun were also watching them.
After seeing their abnormal reaction, Shawn looked up and exchanged glances with Shaun. Shaun couldn't help but tighten his grip on the foregrip but remained silent.
"There's something wrong with this group."
This was Shaun's thought the instant their eyes met.
And judging by Shawn's expression, he meant the same thing.
"Sir, please just take us out. Even moving us to a different cell would be fine. We've been here for weeks."
At this moment, Axel spoke again, pleading with Shawn.
"No rush," Shawn waved his hand casually.
He stood up, holding the Police Short Gun, walked past Thomas who was kneeling closest, and stopped in front of Andrew.
He squinted his eyes at Andrew.
"You said you were incarcerated for Willful Homicide?"
Andrew quickly raised his head, hands clasped behind it, and explained hurriedly.
"The gang made me come in. I didn't actually..."
Pfft—
Before Andrew could finish, he felt his entire brain become warm, yet his brow felt icy cold, as if a chill was constantly drilling inward.
A constant ringing sound echoed in his ears, the world began to spin, and he lost all his strength.
Shock—!
Looking at Andrew, who had been instantly executed.
The prisoners were like startled birds, lying on the ground and involuntarily shuffling back a few steps.
