Chapter 140 - Chapter 140 I am waiting for them to come, what are you waiting for?

Ignoring the Governor's furious roar, Shawn quickly regrouped with the others in the jungle.

"Nothing unexpected happened, right?" Shawn asked.

Faint light illuminated their faces, and they shook their heads, not a single bullet hole on their bodies.

"Good," Shawn exhaled, leading everyone back to the Prison.

After this wave of surprise attacks and harassment, Woodbury likely had fewer than 60 people left.

However, Shawn still used his remaining rationality to warn everyone not to underestimate the Governor's methods, to avoid irreparable damage.

"Attack when the enemy defends, harass when the enemy defends, attack when the enemy retreats."

In short, it meant not letting the Governor have an easy time, not giving him a moment to breathe. Shawn wanted to take him down without losing a single soldier.

Completely reversing all the damage caused by the Governor in the original plot.

He brought everyone back to the Prison, securing every critical point of the Prison.

Shawn, dressed only in his stalker suit, walked out of the Prison again.

He held the heavy Green Dragon Crescent Blade reversed, its hilt pointing down, and moved with incredible Agility outside the deep pit.

By then, the ground was completely dark; ordinary people could only vaguely make out the outline of the land by moonlight.

"Soon, they're coming."

Shawn felt his body like a taut bowstring, ready to unleash its power.

He continuously swung his great blade, harvesting the Walkers defending the deep pit and those in the 'windbreak zone' to ensure there were no Walkers near the Prison.

"This is the last one."

He cleared from the back left to the back right of the Prison, slaughtering all the Walkers.

He propped the hilt of the Crescent Blade on the ground with one hand, and a light, pleasant musical sound echoed in Shawn's ears.

Level Up, Lv44 → Lv45

Remaining Skill Points: 4

You can now allocate points

From last week until now, a total of 4 skill points had accumulated.

Shawn looked at the skill page and threw all the skill points onto it.

Two of them were added to the Agility attribute; from Lv6 onwards, basic attributes required 2 skill points.

(Agile Movement) Level 6 / 10, Agility and movement speed are moderately increased. You can now move very agilely; Walkers can only breathe on your back.

Agility Attribute Level -- 6 / 10

...

One point was added to the attack speed of blade wielding — Whirlwind Slash (Transform into a whirlwind of destruction and slaughter).

(Instant Kill) Level 1 / 3, Blade attack speed increased by 10%

Catch them off guard, put them to death

Agility Whirlwind Slash Level -- 1 / 3

...

The last point was added to the skill for armor consumption — Medium Armor (Specialization in Medium Armor).

(Guardian) Level 1 / 4, Armor movement penalty reduced by 15%, stamina penalty reduced by 10%, durability usage reduced by 15%

Your stamina is eased, armor is no longer a burden, and even its usage time has increased.

Note: Increases the probability of obtaining armor and parts.

Agility Medium Armor Level -- 1 / 4

...

As soon as the points were allocated, the immediate feeling of lightness that spread through Shawn's body entranced him.

When the Agility attribute reached Level 6, its bonus instantly doubled, just like the Strength attribute before.

Coupled with the reduction in burden from medium armor, Shawn felt every cell in his body was in optimal condition.

The attribute bonuses combined with the Blood Moon's frenzy, Shawn felt he could take on 100 people right now!

But... fighting was out of the question. Didn't he still have the people from Woodbury to take the fall for him?

Shawn's previous trip, besides collecting some interest from the Governor, was also to provoke the Governor's hatred.

The Governor was, after all, a man in power, so he had to be driven into an irrational frenzy to make some particularly reckless decisions.

For example, from the moment Shawn revealed himself as the mastermind behind the 'Ten Heads' incident, it was destined that the Governor would not retreat tonight.

He would not only stubbornly defend outside the Prison but might also take advantage of the thick night to come up with new tricks to organize a third strong assault.

However, whether the Governor would organize an attack was one thing; whether it could successfully begin was another.

At this point, there were only a few hours left until midnight.

In Shawn's vision, everything began to turn red.

Blood-red mist permeated the jungle a hundred meters away, and the Blood Moon hanging in the sky was silently drawing closer.

When Shawn looked up, the Blood Moon seemed to have broken through the atmosphere and fallen into Earth, hanging directly above the Prison.

Shawn circled back to the Prison.

The Prison's main gate remained wide open. Shawn found a chair, exerted force with one hand, firmly propping the hilt of his Crescent Blade beside him, and sat down alone.

Shawn sat boldly at the entrance, head bowed, not uttering a sound, as the bloody mist slowly spread outside.

Nearly 2 hours passed, time was running out, but there was still no sign of the Governor's next wave of attack.

Suddenly.

Figures began to move within the jungle; they fanned out near the Prison's main gate, cautiously approaching the entrance.

Shawn's previous strike made the Governor realize something: from beginning to end, there was only that one explosive, and everything else was just the Prison's people bluffing.

So, the third strong assault was simple: return to the starting point and charge again from the main gate.

The people of Woodbury followed behind the Governor and Martinez, stealthily observing the sturdy figure sitting at the main gate.

Suddenly!

That figure moved.

His lips, hidden in the shadows, curled into a smile. Unhurriedly, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a pack of cigarettes and a lighter.

Click--

Although the sound was faint, seeing the fire again still made everyone's hearts leap into their throats.

But this time, he didn't light a fuse.

Shawn casually pulled a cigarette from the pack, put it in his mouth, lit it, and took a deep drag.

The smoke filled Shawn's trachea and lungs; this one drag lasted a full 4 seconds.

It was his first time smoking, yet he felt no discomfort. The pleasure brought by nicotine effectively relieved Shawn's suppressed irritability.

When the smoke circulated through his body and was exhaled, Shawn's face showed an expression of extreme comfort after being soothed.

Simply put, it was 'great'!

He slowly raised his head, cigarette dangling from his lips, his gaze sweeping over the shadows outside the Prison's main gate.

To ordinary people, there was nothing there, just complete darkness.

But in Shawn's eyes, it was full of crouching soldiers, who, led by the Governor, had begun their third attack.

"Tsk--"

Shawn leaned back in his chair, unhurriedly, and let out a chuckle.

These were all things he had left over from his own past games. The Governor actually thought he could sneak into the Prison right under his nose?

He straightened up, his left hand gripping the upright Green Dragon Crescent Blade, his right hand resting lightly on his thigh.

His left shoulder was slightly higher, his right shoulder slightly lowered.

A pair of blood-tinged eyes stared so intently that the soldiers dared not move.

Shawn looked at the Governor with a faint gaze. Blood was seeping from his thickly bandaged wound, and his voice was a little hoarse as he spoke.

"I'm waiting for them to come. What are you waiting for?"
