It has been three years since our last encounter with Ichika.
And many things around my surroundings have changed significantly. The objects, parks, stores, homes had all changed with time. And I think this is because someone introduced these things. I don't know who but she is really a genius.
And upon all the events that had happened in years prior. The most exciting thing that happened was. Mrs Celia's engagement to Mr Lugh.
Because from the start Lugh had always been with her, and because of that they had grown to have feelings for each other.
How strange. The feeling called love is an emotional statement that claims someone's feelings. It is also the deep emotional connection that makes you care about someone or something beyond yourself. "Hmm". I wonder, will I ever feel that emotion.
Maybe or maybe not. But I won't chase such a realistic and bizarre future.
"Hey, what are you thinking about", said Kakashi.
"Nothing just leaving my thoughts in the air as all" I responded.
"Sure, but don't forget about the mock battle happening after" he reminded me of the bet I lost.
"Yes I am aware", I replied.
Then after he left I walked into Princess Christina's room. My visit there was to have a meaningless conversation with her. Because ever since the Ichika incident we have been drinking tea almost occasionally.
And as I walked through the shining hall of the palace. I am then reminded of how special this place is. The colourful lights shining above, the magical light system, the research computers and phones. Were all over the place. Even the pool was freshly cleaned in the morning.
Then a voice from the stairs called out to me,
"What are you doing here Master-Rial". It was the voice of Princess Flora.
"Oh"!
"What is wrong!, did I do something wrong"?
"No, I just didn't see you there, that is why"? I said not trying to let her figure my panic reaction.
"Is that so"
"Yeah, anyways can I see your sister"
"Yes. But I am afraid you have to wait, she is in the bathing top".
"Okay"
"Well, then would you like some tea as always. Or you want to wait for her". She asked quickly; well trying to hide her embarrassment. "No I like to wait" I said quickly.
Why is she so shy around people? I wondered.
H-hmm, despite being a princess. She has shown significant growth over the last three years. Now being 9 years old, only a year younger than me. And despite this she always gets shy when a stranger or distant relatives. Tries to approached her, she always gets shy then runs.
Despite that she is a good princess and a great sister. Then as I laid back on the sofa, a voice called out to me, then I turned to look at who it was, Flora called out Rui. Immediately telling me who was there.
"Here to pick me up huh"
"Yep, time to go" he said while dragging me forcefully.
"Well then tell her I was her for me, Flora."
"Okay, take care now."
Around 10 minutes we arrived at the special training ground at school.
It was full of the students of last year. Most of the people from the mock battles were there too. Pretty much they were trying to recreate the last matches but with different outcomes.
The matches were;
Max and Lee were the first students to fight.
They moved to the center, where they both bowed down and made the peace sign in that process.
Then it began, Lee moved with blinding speed, rushing at him with a punch. The speed was so fast that it split the air around him. Max watched him as he approached, then with a quick gaze he analyzed his movement. And while Lee moved towards him, he quickly moved out his hands and blocked the punch as he approached.
Max quickly followed with an attack of his own, he turned his arm sideways trying to punch him. And though he still had Lee In his hand, he was able to evade the attack. And with a punch on the waist, Max was forced to let go of Lee.
Then they both looked at each with respect, and thus time Max moved first with an upper cut through the neck. And while he was in the process Lee noticed his movement. Then with a kick to the nick, he tried to separate them. But Max had already noticed the chance this brought him. He reversed his form, and with a twice of the hand he managed to block one of his offensive capabilities. Max kicked Lee with all the strength he had left. And this unfortunately brought about the defeat of Lee once again.
The next match was against me and kakashi.
We both bowed our heads down and made the peace sign with our hands. Then we moved to the fight area.
Both of us opened our eyes and awoke our special eyes.
Kakashi was the first to move, he created a large water serpent from the start. It was a large dragon-like water serpent. And this was meant to distract me from fighting him seriously. Then he formed a lightning bolt around his body and rushed at me.
Knowing kakashi's movement he would try to use the water dragon first, which wasn't easy to handle. I formed an ice wall with water assumption capabilities, which separated me from the water dragon. Leaving me with Kakashi alone.
We first took out our swords for some sword play. He swung his blade at me but I blocked it with my sword. Then after the block, I quickly spun around and kicked him in the stomach. Then I manipulated my magical essence to create a fire wolf attack. But Kakashi also formed an unwavering spear which destroyed the fire wolf attack.
We both with and clashed with our sword once more.
Both of us while clashing, dodging, throwing attacks at each other. Kakashi created a star-like wheel which quickly teleported my sword.
"Huh"
While clashing with our swords he managed to make physical content, which enabled him to teleport things away. And with my sword gone I pulled out a konia, which was filled with some of my mana. Then we both looked at each other, we both threw konias at each other and dashed at each other. And after some seconds we both teleported towards each other, but I spun around again. Which gave me an advantage, then at the last minute I created an unwavering spear. Which was pushed at his back, but I was less powerful which saved him. That gave me the win.
The match is between Eigi and Eiichiro.
They both did the same that we did; which was bowing and making the peace sign with their hands. But only this time they had to separate themselves because my fight with Kakashi kinda destroyed the place a bit.
"Start"
They pulled out their swords. Then immediately Eiichori opened his spring eyes trying to pin point his mana core, then block it. But Eiji also revealed his own one eyed pure eye, which upon activation awoke my own but I cancelled mine. Eiichiro rushed at him, now that he had figured out his man core system.
But during that time Eiji had seen through his defenses, and how to deal with it but he needed time to activate his trap. Then he tried focusing on blocking his sword tricks which are more dangerous than 3 years ago. But at the same time Eigi had spent significant time training with me with our pure eyes.
Eiichiro swung his sword sideways, then covered the blade fire magic. Eiji responded with a sword block then he manipulated his magical essence to make water a snake. An attack he created while observing how snakes movement, can defend and attack simultaneously. And with this he managed to put out the fire around his sword. Eiichiro then used his magic to create 10 fire lasers which were in every direction and angle around the fighting area. They truck out on Eiji, but using the visual insight of pure eye, he managed to evade almost all of them. But just as he thought it was over multiple lasers shot at him again. But luckily for him the pure eye reacted in time.
The eyes showed him the vision of the lasers coming, which he was able to avoid. And with a glance of the magic circle. He realised that they were going to stop until Eiichiro either deactivated it or if the magic circle self got disoriented.
Then he came up with the perfect solution for the situation. Eiji first manipulated his mana once more, but the difference this time was he used more than usual. He created 10 water dragons. With them created he could focus on Eiichiro alone. He directed them towards the magic circle. The lasers shot out once again but this time they all got cancelled due to the water dragons absorbing it all.
Eiji now focus primary on Eiichiro. They both moved at an insane pace, then Eiichiro tried once more to slash at Eigi but once again he caught it with his blade. Eiji threw his sword upwards then he followed the rhythm of the sword. He jumped up and grabbed the blade and slashed at Eiichiro. But Eiichiro managed to barely block it, which gave him some difficulty standing up. But he managed to push Eiji into a direction where he could block all his mana core system.
Eiichiro moved once again, this time gaining the advantage then he struck Eiji. He managed to get his sword in the way. Eiichiro opened his arms and formed a dragon-like image in his arms. These were used for blocking mana core system. Eiichiro stuck Eiji many times but with the pure eye he was able to block all of them.
Eiji then called back his water dragons and struck out on Eiichiro this time. Eiji was used the water dragons as distraction. Eiichiro then fought the water dragon, he cut up 4 of them. Then depleted mana from 4 of them, he used earth magic to destroy the other two.
But as he was busy, Eigi used his ability "Blue Flames". On him, and at first he tried to fight it off. But the heat that was emitted on him forces him to get down on his knees and stop fighting. This all happened because he had run out of mana causing Eigi to win.
The next match was between Rui and Alfred.
They both bowed down and also made the peace sign with their hands.
Alfred made space between him and Rui, he wanted to analysis his movement patterns and try to counter them.
Rui first awoke his lune eyes, then he created his mana rods, which reacted instantly. Suddenly a long black rod appeared in his hand. Alfred seemed anxious when he pulled out the rod. Alfred quickly pulled out a blade, then he created lightning enhancement around his body. Which gave hum speed and strength to compete with him a little.
Alfred swung his blade at Rui but he managed to dodge and block his attack. Then Alfred created lightning blades but with multiple layers. This gave Rui a run of his money. Rui dodged all of the lightning blades coming his way, barely teleported all of them away.
Rui went on the offensive this time, he trucked out on Alfred, who was barely managing to hold on. Rui then created five ice wolves at him, which Alfred burnt away with fire magic. Rui then made a huge fireball, which was cancelled out because Alfred created a water ball too at that same moment. Alfred was losing mana fast and he needed to rest. So he used his last mana to create two earth dragons, then he directed them to attack Rui. They moved with an insane speed which was sideways. They struck out with earth magic but Rui just opened with arm. And a moment later the earth dragons were pinned down by mana rods. Then Rui destroyed them with the mana rods.
But at that time Alfred had already given up, because he just wasted almost all his mana. And now needed rest before he completely faint. Rui just nodded and said:
"That was a wise decision." Rui said with a smile.
"Thank you for the compliment." Said Alfred.
"I was surprised by your performance today, you have really worked hard and improved significantly."
"Thank you, but the thanks have to be directed towards Rial, Eigi and Lee. Who spent some time teaching me some magic spells"
"Oh, is that so."
"Yes"
Then after, Max asked me and Kakashi to meet him at the palace after everything was done.
It was three after we had finished everything, I and Kakashi were the first to leave due to the information we were about to receive. We both looked at ourselves, trying to prepare for what comes next.
And deep in my mind, I was thinking about who created the research computers and the magic phones. All this were created because this person missed earth then they tried to replicate some items from there. In general I am impressed but I wonder who would it be?
No I won't bother, even if I find the person what good will it do me.
What it will do for me is just remind me of how much of a failure, that I am. I won't chase such an unmeaning outcome.
And with my thoughts coming to a conclusion, we finally arrived at Rui's room in the dorm. We didn't even have to knock, just as we were about to he came forward and opened it.
Then once we got in he said.
"I need you guys to be honest with me," he said with the most serious face.
"Sure," we both said.
"Okay, do you know a man called Rushed"
Just as immediately Kakashi's face darkened immediately. It almost seemed like he was remembering something from his past.
"Yes, I know him very well" Kakashi said.
"You could say that I knew him but to an extent", I quickly said.
"Did he do anything horrendous to you or your family." Max while looking at us with his usual calm face.
"Yeah, he killed both my parents when I was a child"said Kakashi.
"He also killed my parents and played their deaths to me, and though it took a while I managed to recover. But I promised that one day I would kill him." I said. "Me too," said Kakashi.
"Well that goal might have become harder than you could expect"
"What do you mean" I said.
"Allow me to explain. He created me, I mean he is my father but that was one of the reasons why I escaped from his hands. And because I heard he had gained more power over some country up north. He has also created more powerful children with the experiment. He created special eyes for the children when they were young. When he doesn't even care if they die." He told us this while almost half tears were on his face.
"No worries, it wasn't your fault," I said.
"Yeah no worries".
We hung him, trying to calm him down.
"But all this said I am still trying to kill him still," said Kakashi.
"Me too" I said.
"Yes plus we are going to the north next week for the vacation right."
"Yes" I said.
"The black Asylum, that is the institution name", said Max.
