"If she were a goddess, she would possess a divine aura. But she doesn't. She is completely a demon. Only her appearance and her life force resemble those of a goddess," explained Deon.
"Maybe she's like you," Riga suggested. "Stripped of her divine aura and turned into a demon."
"But your mother brought her home when she was about five years old," Lord Deon replied. "How could a child that young possibly release all of her divine aura?"
"That… makes sense." Lord Riga finally gave up pressing the matter. His sister was long gone, and there was little point in digging further into the past. "Little niece, continue your story. What happened when you confronted the Emperor?"
Kelsey's smile widened as she remembered what had happened in the tower. "Father, Uncle… I met my mother."
