Chapter 17 - There's A Starman, Waiting In The Sky...

Blue oranges that flew with sparkly wings...

Four men fighting bravely against a horde of zombies, the golden sphere on one of them sparking blue lightning...

A purple coloured giga-chad snapping his fingers, ending world hunger...

Silver dragons fighting an Egyptian God...

A young boy swimming in a sea of women, all the while saying "Oppai, apparently, oppai..."

Okay, the last one was waaaaayyy too much, even for Natsuki who owned around 1000 Doujinshis (most of which he prayed that the BOR, as his nominal employer, would be kind enough to burn them to ashes). As he sat, glued to the window, bedazzled by the scene, a soft, boneless hand grabbed his shoulders. "Y'know newbie, I was the same as you. The first time I saw it, I didn't want to sleep all night, worried that everything would disappear, just like a dream. But even if it were one, I'd still be fulfilled, for this is one of the most beautiful scenes I've ever seen. Not even when mom and dad used to–"

Stopping in her tracks, she turned her head towards the still starstruck Natsuki. Heaving a sigh of relief, she was glad that the unsuspecting man before her did not question why she stopped midway.

Why am I telling him all this...

After learning from Fleura about his circumstances, her solid heart slowly began thawing. Realising that he was ostracised and heavily abused by those who loved him, she began to grow attached to him.

Slap!

Forget what just happened! You must never tell him anything about yourself...

As she stood at the window behind him, Vylara quietly watched the ever-changing surroundings, distance closer than ever...

Kaboom! Crack!

A large hole could be seen forming across the dark, inky canvas that was space. From within, curiously, a large truck was seen exiting the hole, now revealed to be a space-time manifold. Turning on its head lamps, the rocket propulsion system initiated itself, slowly heading towards its destination:

A large, murky blue planet, covered in, surprisingly, only two large land masses, (both of which were no larger than the continent of Africa). Chunks of large debris were seen orbiting the outer atmosphere, along with what appeared to be a remnant of some sort of...

Satellite...?

Natsuki had no time for further investigation, for at that moment, the truck had begun making its descent into the planet (how did he know? Well, you would obviously realise you were getting closer to something if it got bigger and bigger). "Alright everyone, start strapping yourselves into the seats, cause I don't want a repeat of the Gyatlov incident again! And can someone please drag that incumbent man from the windows or something!?"

And with this final complaint, old man Knoxis began breaching the atmosphere...

Watching the stars, Saintess Celestina of the Church of Light glanced at the skies. Her eyes shrunk when what appeared to be a shooting star began falling from the very Heavens. Tears began pouring down her dainty cheeks as she realised what was happening.

"Everyone, go and inform his Highness the Pope...

That the Heavens have sent forth new heroes to save us!"
