Lysbelle glanced at the boy in front of her, all tied up in the purest version of strange steel. A special kind of steel that possessed the peculiar ability to nullify side effects.
For the first time in thousands of years, she had sired another.
'…and not just another, from 'his' bloodline.' Lysbelle chuckled to herself darkly.
Oh, the irony.
Once upon a time during the Second Pandemonic, a Great War that brought the entire known and unknown world to its knees… Lysbelle's first sire Dharmin Bloodvaine had betrayed the Vampyres and the Holy Blood Crusaders.
Instead, Dharmin Bloodvaine joined humanity after he fell in love with one… a delicate frail woman.
The once mighty Bloodvaine, pride of the Second Blood Legion… became the most treacherous and terrifying Vampyre Slayers in the blink of an fortnite.
During those fourteen apocalyptic days… the pale moon turned blood red.
Oh, the fury Lysbelle felt. Dharmin was after all not just someone she sired but someone she cherished deeply, a little more than she should have.
…and the Bloodvaine Clan? They wiped out one quarter of the entire Vampire Population back then.
Bringing the deepest embarrassment to the duchess… so much that her siblings threatened to put her to eternal sleep and steal all her essence.
'Well, well, well… Clan Bloodvaine… like the great old serpent Ouroboros, you shall now choke on your own flesh hehehehe~'
Though… Lysbelle would not lie, she was starting to believe that there was something really different about this boy in front of her.
His mercurial blood eyes flashed with a glint of sharpness behind them. The blood red color in them wasn't bright but rather cold… a deep and dark coldness to it that almost reminded her of the same elegance she had first seen in Dharmin himself.
The boy's lips were slightly curled, an ever-present smirk hanging upon his visage as if he already had everything figured out.
'…and his thoughts… he's still ogling me… does he have no fear at all?'
Annoying.
This boy Vesper Bloodvaine was extremely irritating.
She bit her lips slightly in frustration.
'Maybe I chose the wrong person to crown into a pure blood.'
Lysbelle was having second thoughts but she took a deep breath in, calming her undead self down.
'Only time will tell… his vampirism has replaced his humanity that seems accurate.'
An evil smile crept onto her own face. It was alright. As long as she'd get her revenge… and the boy his own… she'd use him… then discard him like a pawn.
After all, he was still a Bloodvaine… and a Bloodvaine dead is much better than a Bloodvaine alive.
'Heh. I look forward to the entertainment you bring me… my new pet.'
Meanwhile the young pureblood Vampyre in question glanced at the lady with eyes filled with tears.
Begging to be released from the chains.
Lysbelle rolled her eyes once more.
"You do know that those chains are what helped you survive the transmutation… or else you'd have been either a ghoul right now or straight up died from blood poisoning. Maybe be a little bit more grateful, urchin."
Vesper's eyes widened a little as understanding dawned upon him. Indeed… there was a reason why he was chained up not simply a sexual kink.
The boy nodded, a little more humbly although his mischievous smirk never left his face.
"Thank you."
Lysbelle raised an eyebrow, then shrugged… she knew his thoughts… it was a genuine appreciation.
'Well, maybe I didn't choose wrong.' The boy was indeed becoming a little more pleasing now.
'SIT ON MY FA-'
'Never mind.'
Lysbelle almost sighed aloud.
"The chains will automatically untangle when the pale rays of the moon glow scarlet. Until then even I… can't do anything."
That was a lie… she could… but helping this irritating urchin felt really inelegant. She'd rather not…
'Definitely not because I'm lazy.'
Vesper's expression however convulsed a little bit.
"Wait so I have to remain like this for another three hours?? It takes a while for the colors of the moon to change you know! Please you can't, I'll die from boredom or my thoughts that are really frantic like a radio! I'd rather be human than be left alone with them!"
Lysbelle narrowed her eyes staring at the boy. Different vampires have different aspects to their vampire nature.
'One of his vampire abilities must be his thinking… the ability to think fast… eventually it will evolve into an ability where he can hypothesize a million situations and choose the best outcome and apply it…'
Noticing the boy's thoughts, she tilted her gaze to see his which was now slowly travelling upward to her at the armpits.
'Never mind… this pervert can only think of useless things faster than the speed of light.'
Shaking her head, the duchess then removed a pouch from by warping the space around her.
Taking the pouch in her hands, she then proceeded to remove a scarlet colored egg with golden embroidery all over it.
"Here. Think of it as a parting gift. My messenger will soon make contact with you. She'll update you on your missions and goals. Right now… stay low… gather information in the academy especially on the cadets in your class. They are mysterious… even to us… especially keep an eye on Xi Evira… she may possess something of importance to the First Blood Legion. Heh. If possible I'd like to have it for myself… but your job is to gather information, leave the rest to me…"
Vesper's eyes stopped ogling the duchess this time, his thoughts and gaze concentrated on the scarlet egg with deep focus.
"Erm what is that..?"
He asked, Lysbelle smiled… her lips curled slightly as if she was glad he asked… but she didn't reply to him.
Instead, the lady stared down on the young vampire with a dominating radiance.
"You'll know in due time. Keep it protected until then and nourish it like a mother nourishes a child."
Lysbelle kept staring at the boy who was now deep into his thoughts, thinking of the mysterious egg. Geeking into it, completely.
Her smile faded a little bit, a little surprised at how quickly his attention turned from her body to the egg and how engrossed he was in it.
Although she may have heard him think about whether he could fry it and how it might taste. Then ramble about the fact of whether he could even taste anything as a vampire.
'What a weirdo.'
Lysbelle really thought of Vesper to be a little bit on the weirder side of life. Honestly, in the back of her mind… she was now slightly missing the lusty attention he gave her… considering that he was a Bloodvaine as well.
'You know what…'
A small devious smirk replaced her stoic face.
She crept a little closer to the boy… who was now taken by surprise. She leaned into his face, her blood red eyes meeting his own with an intense expression of desire.
Her gaze shifted downward to his puckered lips as she glanced at them with a teasing look in her eyes.
Vesper was dumbfounded and confused in the very moment, he could feel the Vampire's breath all over his face and her intoxicating smell almost serenading him into a hypnotic paralysis.
He glanced at her eyes that were staring at his lips and gulped his saliva subconsciously, closing his eyes… ready to accept the sexual harassment as karma probably.
However, nothing happened but instead he felt a warm breath tickle into his ears… whispering into them.
"If you prove yourself worthy… maybe I'll allow your face to be my throne."
Vesper's eyes shot open in shock… the duchess was gone… only leaving her beautiful scent behind.
….and a humongous boner.
