Mere rank 3 martial arts wouldn't have been able to achieve such a feat. Even spells would have failed to deal any meaningful damage to that defense. There was also the distance to consider, limiting the explanation to a weapon art that could condense immense amounts of Qi.
As much as the Church had learned, it didn't know everything. It couldn't. It was the norm for cultivators to keep secrets, but there was something Priest Blake was certain of.
