Chapter 5 - Ding... 5

"Phew… the dramatic cut from the earlier roleplay almost drove everyone crazy just from watching it. The tension, the silence, the unresolved ending, people immediately started demanding the season 2."

"We need to plan the next roleplay," someone from the crew said, half-joking and half-serious. "You can't end it like that."

Momonga let out a nervous laugh. "I didn't expect the reaction to be this intense."

Ulbert crossed his arms, clearly pleased. "That just means it worked."

TouchMe nodded in agreement. "Which also means we can't rush the next part."

Henry glanced around the room, the last effect traces of void distortion fading away. "We'll need to develop the story more carefully," he said.

Momonga nodded and stood up, adjusting his posture. "Yeah. Let's schedule an editing meeting first. We should wrap it up properly, sound, cuts, pacing, everything."

TouchMe checked the time displayed in his interface. "Alright. Editing meeting first. We'll plan the continuation over the next few days."

Ulbert stretched, hands behind his head. "Heh. Who would've thought a roleplay session would turn into a full production meeting?"

TouchMe gave a small, serious smile. "That's what happens when people start paying attention."

Henry nodded. "This is our first real project like this. Of course it won't be perfect."

Momonga raised a finger. "Exactly. We should expect problems. The important thing is where."

Ulbert leaned forward, suddenly focused. "Dialogue density, some parts go hard, really hard. If someone misses one line, they're lost."

TouchMe agreed. "We need breathing space. Moments where concepts are restated more simply."

Henry considered that. "So… less mystery dumping. More gradual reveals."

Momonga nodded. "Also consistency. Authority, power, seal, intent, we use these words very precisely. One mistake and the logic collapses."

Ulbert clicked his tongue. "Yeah, yeah. Cosmic law stories don't forgive sloppy wording."

Another guild member, Yamaiko, joined the discussion. "You also need emotional anchors, Not everyone is here for metaphysics. They need to feel why this matters."

Henry smiled faintly. "That's fair. Viod the character tends to be… abstract."

TouchMe added, "We should show consequences. Even if Henry is restrained, people need to feel that restraint costs something."

Momonga crossed his arms. "And pacing. The reveal of the seventy percent is huge. If it comes too fast, it feels cheap."

Ulbert nodded reluctantly. "Fine. Build-up first. Payoff later."

Henry looked around the group. "So we're agreed. First pass editing goals?"

Momonga counted on his fingers. "Clarify concepts. Simplify key explanations. Slow the reveals. And keep the tone consistent."

TouchMe added, "And accept that we'll mess up."

Ulbert smirked. "A lot."

Henry chuckled softly. "That's fine. This is our first time doing something like this."

Momonga looked at the chamber one last time. "Then let's treat it like a real project. We edit first—no new scenes, no power escalation."

Ulbert groaned. "You're killing me."

Henry smiled faintly. "That's how good stories survive."

TouchMe checked the time again. "Alright. Editing meeting scheduled."

The group began to disperse. The story wasn't finished, but for the first time, it had direction.

And that… was enough for now.

The roleplay season 1 was over for now, but the next session was already beginning to take shape. Untill...

Ding...

A system notification appeared.

[Incoming Message — YGGDRASIL Development Team]

Momonga froze. "…Wait. This is real-time."

Ulbert blinked. "No way."

TouchMe read the message carefully, then looked up. "…They've been watching our sessions."

Henry tilted his head slightly. "Figures. Our roleplay has been trending for month's now."

Momonga exhaled slowly. "Looks like the developers are officially reaching out."

He read aloud. "They're offering support contracts, props for roleplay scenes, environment assets, story tools."

Ulbert's eyes lit up. "HAHA—called it! I knew they'd bite! We went too hard for them to ignore."

TouchMe raised a hand. "Hold on. This isn't sponsorship like advertising." He scrolled. "They want to encourage emergent storytelling. They're offering roleplay props, environmental assets, and technical tools. Basically, anything that helps storytelling."

Henry nodded slowly. "Because it makes the game look alive."

"Exactly," Momonga said. "If it's small stuff, props, set pieces, they'll just give it for free. If it's bigger things, like special cameras or custom player skins…" He paused. "They offer heavy discounts instead."

Ulbert leaned back. "That's actually pretty respectful."

Another guild member, Bukubukuchagama popped into the channel. "Wait wait wait!! Are we officially working with the devs now?!" she said excitedly

"Yes," TouchMe replied calmly. "Because what we're doing attracts players. "Not officially sponsored, But they're encouraging us. Our roleplay brings people into the game."

Yamaiko added, "It's basically free promotion, but in a good way."

Henry folded his arms thoughtfully. "Then we should use that goodwill responsibly."

Ulbert pointed at him. "Uh-oh. That tone means you already have an idea."

Henry smiled, just slightly. "Oh, i do."

Momonga looked at him. "You're planning to buy something, aren't you? …What are you buying?"

"Not power. Not a skill," Henry said calmly. "I want to create an NPC."

The room went quiet.

Ulbert narrowed his eyes. "Before the internet gets ideas, what kind of NPC?"

Henry answered without hesitation. "Not a loli. Not a milf."

Ulbert burst out laughing. "HAHAHA!! GOOD! thank you for the clarification!"

TouchMe relaxed. "Then what?"

"A male character," Henry said. "Inspired by a cartoon I really love. An animated character from the old era."

Momonga raised a brow. "A cartoon?"

"Yes," Henry nodded. "From animation, not live-action. I want to reinterpret him so he fits naturally into YGGDRASIL. But adapted. Not copied blindly."

Bukubukuchagama clasped her hands. "Ooooh. That's actually interesting."

Ulbert grinned widely. "You know what that means, right? People are either going to love it…"

"…or absolutely hate it," Henry finished calmly.

TouchMe nodded. "As long as it fits the world, that's fine i guest."

Momonga crossed his arms. "If the developers are trusting us with tools—"

"—then we owe them a story worth supporting," Henry said.

Ulbert smirked. "Guess we should give a proper shout-out to the devs."

Momonga nodded. "Yeah. Thanks to the YGGDRASIL team, for letting players tell stories instead of just grinding numbers."

Henry looked around the chamber one last time. "This started as roleplay," he said. "Now it's something people are watching."

Ulbert chuckled. "No pressure."

Henry smiled faintly. "Plenty of pressure. But the good kind."

Somewhere beyond the guild chamber:

developers were observing,

players were speculating,

and a male NPC inspired by a cartoon from the old world waited to be born.

Love him or hate him.

That part… would come later.

Hello! I hope you're enjoying the story so far.

There will still be some light roleplay in the future, but we'll gradually begin moving toward the main storyline.

If you've noticed, this group is still quite small and hasn't conquered a dungeon yet to establish Nazarick.

Because of that, the characters will focus first on powering up more and building Nazarick properly, so they can eventually interact with their NPCs in a meaningful way.

Once that foundation is in place, the story will expand naturally.

Thank you for reading, and i hope you have a good day or night.

Bye :>
