Chapter 51 - Chapter 51

Before he began, he had to worship Lord Buddha as he couldn't in the morning due to all the chaos. Retrieving the tray from the cupboard near the one that held utensils, assembled the white porcelain plate and cup, arranging freshly picked roses and jasmine from the garden outside, and placed the sandalwood incense beside it and completed the offering arrangement by filling the cup with tea.

He stood with the tray of offerings at hand, walked towards the door, and chanted under his breath to allow him to unlock the door. Opened the locks, one by one, and he stepped into the room where he did all his craft work.

Placing the tray in front of the white statue of Buddha, rested gracefully in the corner of the room, he sat down on the wool carpet laid on the floor, legs folded into lotus position. Palms pressed together in front of his chest, fingers pointing upward, back straight, he started the daily practice of Five Precepts, skipping one as he never was able to follow it.

Fragrance of Jasmine and sandalwood filled his senses, calming his unruly mind, and he started chanting softly to follow the Buddha's path, his teachings, and the path of the practitioners. The air thrummed with his voice as the chimes harmonized.

I vow to avoid harming living beings.

I vow to avoid stealing, taking what is not mine.

I vow to avoid harmful sexual behavior.

I vow to avoid intoxicants that cloud the mind.

The one he skipped, the fourth was to avoid lying or false speech.

Then he proceeded to chant the offering verses and the chant for beseeching wellbeing to all beings, humans, animals, spirits, followed by the dedication of merits.

"All the beings with a soul like me, may they be free from suffering.

May they be healthy.

May they be healed from any sickness.

May they be free from pain.

May they reach true peace, niwana.

May all the merit I have gained be shared to benefit all beings to release them from their pains and alleviate the suffering."

With that pure thought on mind, he meditated for another 15 minutes and got up, aiming to finish those amulets first.

This was his craft workshop and as well as the weapon collection space. Not like a military weapon collection, only two licensed guns from his family friend's shop, authorized twin guns passed down from the clan, and others were mostly knives which were carved and chanted to be used when needed. Think about diving a knife so deep into a body to crack the energy core and prying it open to kill clan members who broke rules. Around 100 years ago, clans used to be very violent including their own clan.

Kian was very glad that era ended far back, ending all the evil ones, banning all the forbidden abilities from existence.

The rest of the things inside the were materials and tools to make amulets. Since he was from a clan, the hereditary was that whenever they craft, some of their power flows into the items they make and give them more power and increase the effectiveness.

He sat down, started working on the amulets he was supposed to deliver to the clients.

Once finished, taking a paper and a pencil, he started drawing different designs while thinking what kind of a protection Xal needed.

Earlier he asked him how he would feel, if he saw what he saw on the first day? Will he be overwhelmed or not? He had responded that he wanted to experience what Kian is seeing and would get used to it slowly the more he can see.

Kian also thought the better he could see the better Xal could protect himself. And of course he decided to give protection from being possessed or contacting spirit illness.

So, he had to craft a brand new amulet paired up with an ear cuff with leaving a space for a Labradorite. Humming the 14th song of D-Gray man, he moved to the crystal shelves, selected an Amethyst, Black tourmaline, and a Sunstone to put on the amulet. Sat back down and started carving each stone to set in the design he had planned. This was surely going to be the most powerful one he had ever made, just to make sure that Xal won't ever get the chance to be hurt by spirits at any cost.

Time flew by without him noticing and due to the powerful combination it was absorbing too much of his power. His busy hands only stopped when a drop of bright red blood landed on it.

"Yup, debinitely too buch…" He mumbled as he tipped his head a bit backward before remembering he should not be doing that and cupped under his nose before standing up slowly.

As expected dizziness struck and he slowly made a bee-line to the washroom to clean up. The warmth of the bedsheets welcomed him sooner than he expected and he slept sound till night letting his energy replenish by the night lamp he made with sunstone, carnelian and clear quartz by his bedside.

Once he woke up, he started finishing the amulet, this time more carefully. A thin golden string was placed adding charm to it. He hid a piece of Herkimer Diamond and a rare piece of Nephrite jade without understanding why he was compelled to do it.

Why exactly was he wishing a long life for a man he met over 5 days ago?

"Wow... this thread is something."

Combined with a few breaks here and there, he finished the amulet by 7 AM, kept it in a wooden box lined with a black velvet, stored it inside the room, locked the door and went straight to sleep.
