Scarlett POV
The pinned location led me into the woods, and I drove deeper and deeper until I saw a dim light from afar.
I parked under the cover of the broad trees, then stepped down. Moving slowly inside the woods, I followed the light and dim voices I was hearing.
I lay on the dry leafy ground and watched the site in front of me. I could see men, fully armed, moving about the whole block, loading sealed boxes inside.
The place was like an open garage, and I was directly facing the entrance—the tall trees and shrubs were the only cover.
When the coast was clear, I moved closer and hid close to a wall, then hid behind a tree shielding it.
I peeped through the branches, looking closely and trying to look for Xavier.
A loud agonizing cry jerked my heart up as I looked by the far end of the building, trying to locate the cry.
A gasp escaped my mouth at the sight before me. It was Xavier.
