Not long after, the three street heroes gradually regained consciousness.

They seemed to have shared the same dream, where they teamed up to fight an extremely powerful evil BOSS, only to unfortunately fall at the BOSS's feet. What was even more infuriating was that the BOSS made them strike various embarrassing poses.

Luke Cage's dream was even more twisted and prolonged.

However, they soon realized that none of this seemed to be a dream.

Jessica climbed up from the ground, and Matt climbed off Luke Cage.

The few of them looked at each other, and after a few seconds of silence, immediately decided to bury this matter deep in their hearts. Whoever spoke of it would be a dog.

Then they found Kilgrave, who was even more charred than Black, and were both surprised and delighted.

Of course, the delight came from Jessica. Having been under Kilgrave's long-term mental control, she had long wished to dismember him.

Seeing that Kilgrave, the mastermind, was dead, one of them came up with an idea: why not form a team called the Defenders, to jointly protect the peace of Hell's Kitchen and prevent it from being wantonly destroyed by villains like Kilgrave again.

This suggestion was approved by the other two, as they were, after all, teammates who had fought together.

As for Darian, they all tacitly agreed not to mention him.

Some things, if not spoken of, can be treated as if they never happened.

On the other side, after Darian returned to S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters to report on his mission, he received his S.H.I.E.L.D. Level 7 Agent badge.

He was now at the same level as Natasha, Hawkeye, and others. Such a promotion speed was unprecedented within S.H.I.E.L.D..

However, this news did not attract much attention within the agency.

Although Darian's identity clearance had been promoted level by level, his personal file had been classified as top secret shortly after he joined S.H.I.E.L.D.. Therefore, only a few Agents knew about Darian's absurd existence.

As for Darian's abilities and detailed intelligence, it was even included in a Level 8 clearance file, accessible only to high-ranking S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel.

Of course, HYDRA's involvement was also indispensable during this period. The confidentiality of their own people naturally had to be done properly.

Unexpectedly, Director Fury was not in his office today, and all means of contacting him were unreachable.

So Darian called Coulson, Director Fury's most loyal subordinate.

"Village Chief, do you know where the Director went?"

"Agent Darian, the Director's whereabouts are always top secret. Unless he voluntarily discloses them, no one has the right to inquire."

Coulson's tone was helpless. In all of S.H.I.E.L.D., perhaps only Darian dared to ask such a question.

If it were any other Agent inquiring about Director Fury's whereabouts like this, they would probably have been invited for tea by the relevant department and subjected to a full interrogation process.

Darian frowned: "Then what about my daily missions? Why don't you give me a mission?"

"I'm not the Director, so I don't have any missions to give you."

Coulson was a little speechless.

In all of S.H.I.E.L.D., only Darian was so enthusiastic about doing missions. Other Agents wished they could have a holiday every day.

Darian said cheerfully: "You're too modest, Village Chief. Actually, I've always thought highly of you. You're more suitable to be the Director than that Bald Egg. Why don't we work together to push him out? I'll definitely support you to take the position of S.H.I.E.L.D. Director, and then lead S.H.I.E.L.D. to the moon!"

Coulson: "..."

If you want me dead, just say so.

Coulson dared not reply and hung up the phone directly.

Darian sighed.

Director Fury wasn't here, so he couldn't even do his daily missions.

First day without the Bald Egg, he missed him!

Darian, forced to take a holiday, reluctantly left S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters.

Since he had nothing to do, why not take this opportunity to try and complete some achievements!

"No, are these achievements really that hard to get?"

A few days later, Darian couldn't help but complain.

These days, he had tried all sorts of strange operations, even performing a high-altitude parachute jump without a parachute, but no achievements were triggered.

Instead, in the process of constantly trying, he accidentally unlocked an achievement because he casually borrowed too many cars.

[Congratulations Player for unlocking achievement: It's Impossible to Work (Wearing this title can increase the success rate of stealing vehicles)]

So Darian changed his approach and tried to rob the street thugs that randomly spawned in alleys.

As a result, the thugs in several blocks were all cleared out, but no achievement was unlocked yet.

Darian was speechless.

Unlocking these achievements completely depended on luck, didn't it?

"Forget it, I'll just let nature take its course."

Darian finally gave up the idea of deliberately grinding for achievements, put his hands in his pockets, and walked aimlessly through the streets of New York.

As he passed through a bustling street, his gaze was suddenly drawn to a building not far away.

The building had a distinctive style, especially the huge circular skylight at the top, which was very conspicuous and seemed out of place with the surrounding architecture.

What surprised Darian was that the surrounding passersby seemed completely oblivious to this peculiar building. Their gazes naturally swept over that area, but they didn't linger at all, as if the building didn't exist.

"Why have I never noticed this building before?"

Darian immediately became interested and walked towards the building without hesitation.

If an ordinary person saw such a bizarre phenomenon, they would probably feel some apprehension and weigh the potential dangers.

But players wouldn't.

The more bizarre and abnormal a place was, the more they couldn't curb their curiosity and had to go forward to see what was going on.

Darian went directly to the front of the building and glimpsed the words "177A" carved on the nameplate.

Without thinking much, he directly pushed open the heavy wooden door.

Knock on the door?

Doesn't exist!

Have you ever seen a player who had to knock on the door before entering a building?

The door slowly opened, revealing a magnificent foyer.

In the center of the hall was a wide wooden spiral staircase, surrounded by various pieces of furniture and books that looked quite old, as well as some strange and mysterious artifacts.

Just as Darian instinctively prepared to activate auto-pickup, a calm and gentle voice came from behind him.

"Excuse me, this place is not open to the public."

Darian looked up at the sound and saw a bald woman in a simple robe slowly descending from the second floor.

Wow! Bald head!

Darian subconsciously glanced at the other party's information panel, and the sight almost blinded him.

[NPC: Ancient One]

[Codename: Sorcerer Supreme]

[Affection:?]

[Evaluation: Earth's Sorcerer Supreme Guardian, one of the strongest bald people in the Marvel Universe, one of the strongest mages in the Marvel Universe, a famous deadbeat of multiple dimensions, a representative figure of 'why should I repay money I borrowed by skill']

[Status: Awaiting retirement]

This was the first time Darian had seen an NPC with so many titles.

And each title was not simple; the prefix was either Earth or Universe, and there was even 'multiple dimensions'!

This was no longer an ordinary big shot; she was clearly a bald old man!

Oh no, she was a bald big shot!

But why did the last two sentences feel like a sudden change in style, with a hint of impropriety?
