Chapter 377 - Chapter 377 The Son of Satan has gone mad; he's going to create a new Hell.

Balthazar was merely a high-ranking demon, his strength far inferior to the vessel of the beast, Black Sky, and he was completely vulnerable before Darian.

He was pinned to the ground by a magic sword, the blade piercing through his chest, his entire body suspended and fixed in place.

Before Balthazar could reach out to pull the magic sword from his chest, Darian had already walked up to him, raised his right foot, stepped on his shoulder, and slowly applied pressure.

Balthazar slid down along the blade, the flesh of his wound grinding fiercely against the light blade, emitting a miserable wail until his back was completely pressed against the ground.

"Stop wailing."

Darian stood on Balthazar, looking down at him: "What is the purpose of you demons appearing in the human world in such large numbers? Tell me everything you know."

"In your dreams."

Balthazar lay on his back, his mouth curling into a ferocious arc: "If you have the ability, destroy this body of mine. At worst, I'll just return to Hell."

If he died, he would only be expelled back to Hell; for a demon, returning to Hell was just like going home.

Darian certainly knew this and chuckled: "Why would I kill you? I am a priest. Whether it's a wicked person or a demon, once they reach me, they are all lost lambs. I will sincerely pray for them and absolve all their sins."

Hearing this, Balthazar's heart skipped a beat, and he suddenly had a bad premonition.

"What are you trying to do?"

Darian instantly changed into a standard priest's attire and said with a kindly face: "Naturally, I am going to transcend your soul and send you to Heaven."

Balthazar: "???"

Sending a demon to Heaven? Are you f***ing kidding me!?

He had lived for so long and had only heard of demons being expelled back to Hell; he had never heard of anyone wanting to send a demon to Heaven.

Balthazar looked absurd: "What kind of joke is this? How could a demon possibly enter Heaven?"

Darian took out the holy halo, placed it on his head, and smiled warmly: "Who says it's not possible? Except for Constantine, Heaven doesn't discriminate against anyone or any species. Of course, I am only responsible for sending you to Heaven; whether or not you are forgiven is God's business."

The moment he put on the holy halo, holy light immediately poured out. Countless small Angels with wings flickered in the halo, and in the void above his head, a blurry gate of Heaven slowly condensed and took shape.

Solemn and majestic hymns rang out from all directions, pouring directly into Balthazar's ears.

As soon as Balthazar heard this singing, his soul immediately began to burn. An uncontrollable wave of remorse surged into his heart, making him wish he could confess every sin he had committed in his life from beginning to end right then and there.

Following this, Darian took out a pack of Heaven-brand cigarettes and a Hell lighter, pulled out a cigarette, and lit it.

He exhaled a puff of milky white smoke that drifted slowly toward Balthazar on the ground.

As soon as the smoke touched Balthazar's skin, it sizzled like a red-hot iron, emitting puffs of white smoke with a charred smell.

The black aura swirling around Balthazar began to gradually fade; his soul was being purified inch by inch.

But Darian felt this wasn't enough.

He took out a Bible, opened it, held it in his other hand, and began to chant prayers in a low voice, his posture dignified, just like a true member of the clergy.

Of course, that was assuming one ignored the smoking cigarette still dangling from the corner of his mouth.

Under this one-stop transcendence service provided by Darian, the tightly closed gate of Heaven in the sky actually cracked open a sliver, and dazzling holy light shone through the gap.

Balthazar's eyes widened, the light reflected in his pupils, filled with terror.

For a demon, going to Heaven was no different from a human going to Hell; it was a torture hundreds of times worse than death.

"No, no, no, don't send me to Heaven! I'll talk, I'll tell you everything!"

Balthazar finally couldn't hold back and spoke.

Upon hearing this, Darian stopped chanting, and the gate of Heaven above his head closed again.

He grinned, revealing a mouthful of white teeth: "Good boy, hurry and tell the priest, what exactly is your purpose?"

Balthazar hesitated for a few seconds, then gritted his teeth and said: "We are going to assist the Son of Satan in descending to the human world, to establish a kingdom of blood and fire, and turn the human world into a second Hell."

Darian was not surprised by this answer; he could have guessed it.

"How does Mammon intend to break through the boundary between Hell and the human world to descend?"

"This..." Balthazar hesitated immediately, stammering and refusing to speak.

Seeing this, Darian didn't waste words. He lowered his head and began chanting prayers again, and the gate of Heaven cracked open once more in response.

"Stop chanting! Priest, stop chanting! I'll talk! I'll tell you right now!"

Balthazar begged for mercy in a panic and quickly said: "It's the Spear of Destiny, that weapon that killed the Son of God. The spear tip is stained with the blood of Jesus, which can allow the Son of Satan to break through the boundary and descend to the human world in his true form."

The Spear of Destiny, also known as the famous Spear of Longinus.

Back then, when Jesus was nailed to the cross, a centurion named Longinus pierced him with a spear.

This originally ordinary weapon, because it was stained with the blood of the Son of God, instantly increased in status and became a rare holy relic in the world.

According to Catholic doctrine, Jesus is the Son of God, and his mother, the Virgin Mary, was a holy virgin. Therefore, he did not inherit original sin from Adam's lineage and was a truly sinless person, with the purest blood of God flowing in his veins.

In other words, the blood of Jesus also contained the power of God, which happened to satisfy the conditions for breaking through the boundaries of the human world.

Darian pressed, "Where is the Spear of Destiny now?"

Balthazar, giving up, said bluntly: "It is in the hands of the Archangel Gabriel. He is the partner of the Son of Satan, and it is with his help that we are able to descend to the human world in our true forms."

"Good grief, this Archangel of Heaven is actually secretly allied with the Son of Satan."

Darian exclaimed in amazement.

However, this was quite consistent with Gabriel's character, as legend had it that it was Gabriel who would blow the horn of the Last Judgment.

Before he could continue asking, he suddenly felt that something was wrong.

Why had that guy Constantine been quiet for so long?

Darian turned back and looked, his whole body bursting with light, instantly illuminating the entire street.

Wherever the light reached, the shadows in the street corners were swept away.

Soon, he found Constantine in an alley. Constantine was lying on the ground with his butt in the air, motionless like a dead dog.

And Angela, who should have been by his side, was nowhere to be found.

Darian strode over, crouched down, turned Constantine's body over, and raised his hand to pat his cheek.

"Hey, wake up, you can't sleep here."

After slapping him a dozen times in a row, Constantine finally opened his eyes slowly.

"An Angel? Could it be that I finally made it to Heaven?"

In his daze, Constantine mistook Darian, who was wearing the holy halo, for an Angel.

"No, you've gone to Hell, and I was sent by Satan to torture you."

Darian put away the holy halo, and countless black tentacles sprouted from his body, wriggling.

"No!"

Constantine shivered all over and instantly sobered up.

Darian retracted the black tentacles and immediately asked: "What happened? Where did Angela go?"

Constantine's consciousness gradually returned, his expression shifting from confusion to anger: "It was Gabriel, that... ahem, that thing raised by God. He ambushed me from behind when I wasn't prepared, and then snatched Angela away!"

Darian's eyes were filled with suspicion: "Does Gabriel really need to ambush you to deal with you?"

Constantine coughed lightly: "That's not the point. The point is that the bastard snatched away the woman I like!"

Darian raised an eyebrow: "You like Angela? How come I didn't notice?"

Constantine looked heartbroken: "I only just realized it too. The moment I watched Angela being taken away, I felt as if I had lost something important in my heart. If that's not liking someone, then what is?"

Darian looked at him with disdain: "I'm embarrassed to expose you, but is that liking her? That's because you lost your qualification to enter Heaven!"

"F***, why didn't you say so earlier!"

Constantine stood up, grimacing, touched his red and swollen cheek, and gritted his teeth: "Gabriel, that bastard, it's one thing not to let me into Heaven, but he had to hit me so hard, even slapping me while I was unconscious."

Darian responded calmly: "Maybe it's because you're just too hateable."

Constantine thought this reason was quite reasonable and didn't doubt it too much.

He frowned and said: "That said, Gabriel is an Angel, why did he snatch Angela?"

Darian explained: "It's not that Gabriel is crazy, it's the Son of Satan who is crazy. That demon said he wanted to create a new Hell. Gabriel is his partner, and their goal is to use the Spear of Destiny to let the Son of Satan descend to the human world."

Constantine's expression changed drastically: "For the Son of Satan to descend to the human world, he needs a human with a strong soul as a medium. Could it be that Angela is the medium they need?"

Darian nodded: "Very likely. Isabel was born with spirit vision, and as her twin sister, Angela might also have some hidden talents."

"Then that's terrible!"

Constantine's expression turned serious: "We must stop Gabriel, otherwise, once his plan succeeds, the human world will be reduced to Hell! We need to go back and find Midnight immediately, borrow that electric chair from the Star Prison; perhaps we can locate the place where the Son of Satan will be born."

[Mission "Hell is Empty, Demons are in the Human World" settlement complete]

[Rewards obtained: Experience Points +2000, Constantine Favorability +10, Item "Evil God's Blood", Equipment "Evil Spirit Ring"]

[Item: Evil God's Blood (Heaven has exorcism spells, Hell has god-expelling spells; Heaven has holy water, Hell has Evil God's Blood, which has special effects against Angels and all holy-attribute targets)]

[Equipment: Evil Spirit Ring (After wearing, adds a certain amount of mental damage when attacking enemies)]

A system notification rang in Darian's mind.

Evil God's Blood was exactly what he needed right now; Gabriel was clearly the enemy they were about to face.

As an Archangel of Heaven, Gabriel's strength was unimaginably powerful. Even if weakened in the human world, it was not something ordinary strength could handle, so naturally, the more trump cards, the better.

The Evil Spirit Ring, physical attacks with added mental damage, was simply a bane to enemies with thick skin but weak will.

And the number of rings increased by one again; he was one step closer to wearing ten rings.

[Prerequisite mission completed, final stage mission automatically activated]

[Mission: The Son of Satan]

[Objective: Prevent the birth of the Son of Satan, avoid the human world being reduced to Hell]

[Reward: Depends on player contribution]

"No need, I know where the place of birth is."

Darian looked at the mission guide and immediately locked onto the location where the Son of Satan would be born, which was quite far from them.

He did not set off immediately, but turned around and walked back to Balthazar.

"I didn't know Gabriel would come! Really!"

Balthazar looked panicked, afraid that Darian would vent his anger on him: "I confessed everything, please don't send me to Heaven!"

Darian laughed: "You're overthinking it. I don't have the ability to actually send a demon to Heaven."

Balthazar was stunned: "But I clearly saw the gate of Heaven just now."

"That was special effects, it was all fake. What era do you think this is? It's normal for special effects to be realistic."

Darian put the holy halo back on, and the gate of Heaven appeared above his head again. Under his mental control, the gate opened and closed repeatedly, almost creating a breeze.

Balthazar: "..."

You even trick demons, are you f***ing human!?

Balthazar's face turned green on the spot, and he began to curse.

"Fuc..."

Puchi!

Darian condensed a magic sword in his hand and pierced directly through his skull.

Balthazar's body twitched twice, then turned into a plume of black smoke and dissipated into the air.

Constantine looked at the special effects above Darian's head, drooling with envy: "Buddy, can you lend me this thing to play with for a few days? I promise to return it to you."

Darian smiled and nodded: "Get lost!"

Constantine: "..."

A psychiatric hospital in Los Angeles.

This was the place where Isabel committed suicide, and it was also the place chosen for the descent of the Son of Satan.

When Darian arrived at the perimeter of the psychiatric hospital, he looked up for just a moment and then said seriously: "After my careful observation, if I'm not mistaken, this should be the place of descent."

"You can remove the 'should be'; this is one hundred percent the place of descent."

Constantine was quite certain.

The black aura above this damn hospital was almost covering the entire sky; if one couldn't see there was a problem, one might as well donate their eyes.

The two did not hesitate and stepped directly into the gate of the psychiatric hospital.

As soon as they crossed the threshold, a strong, pungent smell of sulfur rushed toward them, which was no less intense than in Hell.

"Damn, how many demons are gathered here!?"

Constantine frowned and cursed.

He hated this smell of sulfur the most; after all, strictly speaking, this stuff was a toxic gas. Inhaling too much of it was bad for the lungs and harmful to health.

So he quickly took a cigarette out of his pocket, put it in his mouth, lit it, and took a deep breath, only then did he feel relieved.

The two did not stop and continued to advance deep into the corridor.

At the end of the corridor was a pair of double doors to a ward, with dark red light shining through the cracks.

Darian raised his foot and kicked the door open.

The door panel slammed into the wall with a bang, revealing the full view of the ward's interior.

The ward was full of people, men and women, old and young; by visual estimation, there were at least over forty of them.

But what they all had in common was that every one of their eyes flashed with scarlet light; without exception, they were all demons from Hell.

Constantine watched as the room was stuffed with so many demons, his mouth twitching slightly. He subconsciously shielded his teammate, about to open his mouth to cheer Darian on.

However, Darian didn't give him a chance to speak at all.

"I'll leave these small fry to you; I'm going to deal with the BOSS inside."

Before the words fell, Darian rushed over at an extremely fast speed, crashing his body into the dense crowd, knocking away the demons blocking his path with his elbows, and finally disappeared behind a door at the end of the room.

The door slammed shut, cutting off all the noise outside.

The room suddenly became quiet.

Only dozens of scarlet eyes remained, turning toward Constantine, who was still standing at the door.

Constantine: "..."

Have I been sold out by my teammate?
