Chapter 11 - The Awakening of the Nameless Sword

Kaen looked at his sister with undisguised suspicion.

"What's wrong? Why are you looking at me suspiciously?" asked Elizabeth.

"Perhaps because you can see through me with a single glance"

"I'm not looking at you suspiciously, I'm just wondering," he said, looking at Elizabeth seriously.

"Fine, wonder all you want, you idiot," she said with disdain.

"So, I was saying, we're going to have you summon your weapons, the infinite forge of Solvane, and yours,"she asked Kaen.

Kaen replied hesitantly, "The Nameless Sword."

'That's a very strange name,' murmured Elizabeth. "Right, both of you, sit down on the floor and close your eyes."

"Your weapons are reflections of your being. Feel their existence through you, as if you were observing yourself through a mirror, your own reflection."

The two concentrated.

Several swords materialised next to them and next to Solvane.

Kaen closed his eyes, his will sinking into the depths of his soul. He searched for the blade, but it eluded him, refusing to submit. Sweat dripped down his temples. 'No, you will come, that's an order!' he shouted inwardly.

Suddenly, the barrier gave way. A black blade, as dark as the darkness of her ordeal, sprang from nothingness.

At first, there was complete silence.

Then, without warning, an invisible shockwave struck the coliseum. The air became heavy and unbreathable. Kaen and Solvane fell to their knees, crushed by an aura that seemed to want to devour everything in its path.

Elizabeth watched the scene with cold, calculated detachment.

He raised his head, even while kneeling, and looked at the sword, and it seemed as if the sword was looking back at him.

Out of breath, he whispered, "Come, from today, we will be a duo."

The sword calmed down and settled directly into Kaen's hands.

Kaen's gaze moved across the coliseum, searching for his sister to get an explanation for what had just happened.

"Well done," Elisabeth encouraged Kaen. "That was spectacular. You handled the problem like a sensible person and didn't give in to the pressure," she said, stroking Kaen's hair as if she were stroking the hair of a child who had done something worthy of applause.

Kaen remained silent and thought back on what had just happened. The sword had been assigned to her by the system, so it was normal that it was incredible, but for it to do something on this scale was unimaginable.

"So now that we've summoned our weapons, what do we do?" Solvane asked Elisabeth.

"We're going to fight. You both fought each other in a duel yesterday; you're both going to fight me."

"Bring out all your weapons, you have the right to use everything against me, mana, aura, even your traits, yes, that's what we'll do for the next five days we have left. Theory has gone on long enough. I'll explain what you need to know as we go along, and of course, I'll lower my rank to the same level as you, even if I can't force my body to regress."

Elisabeth looked at them provocatively and added, "So, are you coming?"

Solvane conjured swords behind her back while Kaen drew his katana, preparing to fight.

Solvane threw all the swords she had made, but Elisabeth did not even bother to block them, simply dodging them with agility and precision.

Kaen tried to attack her from behind, but as if she had eyes in the back of her head, she dodged him with a step to the side.

Elisabeth smiled. "First lesson: users of space must first develop their spatial awareness in order to then manipulate it. This allows us to see the invisible."

'Spatial consciousness, huh?'

The fight lasted for hours, and Elisabeth didn't even bother to take out a weapon, just dodging at the last moment like an eel that couldn't be caught.

"Let's stop there for today and continue tomorrow," Elisabeth ordered.

The last day

"STOP!," Elisabeth declared.

Kaen was frustrated because, despite five days of relentless fighting, he had been unable to touch her even once.

During those five days, he learned to wield aura and mana, developed his spatial consciousness, learned to use lightning a little, and learned to teleport over short distances.

'These little monsters, even though they haven't touched me even once, are making rapid progress; their senses have sharpened, their reflexes have improved, and their skills are more aggressive. Now, Solvane is approaching twenty summoned weapons, and Kaen has managed to learn all this in an impressive five days.'

"This training session is over. Go and rest. We're going out tonight. After all, tomorrow you're leaving for the academy."

"Can't we just skip tonight and train some more?" asked Kaen, looking at Elisabeth and Solvane in turn.

"I'm sorry, big brother, but I'm exhausted. Please let me have this evening for us," replied Solvane breathlessly.

"Okay," replied Kaen, sighing to show his annoyance, but saying no more.

Elisabeth smiled at him, looking flustered, and said, "Good boy."

A vein popped out of Kaen's forehead. He quickly calmed down and replied expressionlessly, "Aren't you tired of smiling all day long? Aren't you afraid of getting wrinkles much earlier than expected?"

Elisabeth accentuated her smile, but her eyes said otherwise. She clearly wasn't smiling; she wanted to eradicate her little brother from existence.

"At least I have a smile. Why don't you ever smile and act like a depressed person about to hang himself?"

Right after saying that, she teleported away to who knows where, but left a portal for Kaen and Solvane.

Just as Kaen was about to scream in rage, a laugh made him jump. It was obviously Solvane's.

"Hahahahaha!" Solvane laughed endlessly.

Kaen, completely astonished, looked at her strangely.

"Why are you laughing?"

"Hahahaha, I'm... ahaahah... sorry... it was too funny to hold back. It's been a while since I've seen Elizabeth act so childishly," she said, alternating between laughter and seriousness.

"Okay, I see, we have to go get ready now," he said with a sigh.

'Ahh, how many times have I sighed just today?'
