"Why did you never go down that path?" I asked Jor carefully.
Jor's hand paused.
He turned his head, his cold, golden eyes locking onto mine with an unbothered, fiercely arrogant calm.
His gaze traced the curve of my lips before he spoke, his voice dropping to a low, possessive rumble.
"Those disgusting, weak creatures do not deserve my presence, Lily. My pride as a deity would never allow me to touch a male. There are some male offerings, but most end up in here." Jor pointed directly to his stomach.
"Fair enough," I muttered, suppressing a smirk at his typical god complex response.
Suddenly, a loud, agitated voice echoed from the front of our trading stall, shattering the domestic peace.
"Aren't you the deer beastman from just a few hours ago?!" the chief's voice boomed outside. "What is it now? I thought you said you didn't want to trade with the West Hill tribe!"
