The battle raged for three days.
The Immortal Court's fleet was burning. The Ten Heavenly Kings were dead or eaten.
But the war wasn't over.
The sky above the battlefield tore open.
A white light, pure and absolute, descended. It vaporized the blood, the smoke, and the noise.
Gravity ceased to exist.
A figure descended slowly. He wore no armor, only white robes. His face was a mask of runes.
The Grand Immortal Emperor (Divine Sovereign).
"Disappointing," The Emperor said.
He waved his hand.
"Order: Stasis."
Everything stopped.
Xue Yao froze mid-swing. Yan Luo froze mid-chant. The explosions stopped expanding. The atoms themselves stopped vibrating.
Only Mo Tian could move, his Chaos Core fighting the suppression.
"Chaos," The Emperor looked at Mo Tian. "You are a glitch in my perfect system."
"And you are a control freak," Mo Tian spat, forcing his body to stand upright.
"I am the World," The Emperor stated. "I am the Rules."
He pointed a finger.
"Rule 1: Darkness cannot exist in the Light."
A beam of erasure hit Mo Tian.
It hurt. It hurt more than anything Mo Tian had ever felt. His black armor disintegrated. His skin burned away, revealing the galaxy-flesh underneath.
[System Alert: Critical Damage.] [Law of Order overwriting Chaos.] [Deletion Imminent: 90%... 95%...]
Mo Tian fell to his knees.
"Is this it?" Mo Tian thought. "Am I being deleted?"
He looked at his frozen companions. At his empire.
"No," Mo Tian gritted his teeth. "I don't follow rules."
"System! What counters Order?"
[Answer: Entropy.] [Required: Sacrifice of all accumulated Laws.] [Warning: This will reset your cultivation path.]
"DO IT!"
Mo Tian roared.
"Heaven-Devouring Art: FINAL FORM - BIG BANG."
He didn't absorb energy. He reversed his digestion.
He vomited out everything.
The Gold Law. The Fire Law. The Water Law. The Thunder Law. The Void Law.
He expelled them all into a single point in front of the Emperor.
"You want order?" Mo Tian screamed. "Here is pure Chaos!"
The mixture of conflicting Laws detonated.
It broke the Rule of Stasis.
The Universe fractured.
The Emperor's mask cracked.
"Impossible..."
The explosion swallowed the Emperor.
