Gard then began his incantation: "From the fracture of sound... I call the storm of blades unborn. Velocity be my forge, silence be my flame. Fifty thousand swords — awaken."
He then muttered in a cool tone, "Arcane..." He slowly opened his eyes, raised his sword, then smiled.
"Witnessing someone's Arcane for the first time makes my heart pound faster!" Maugier commented; his voice had a mix of anticipation and excitement.
Baudin added, "Yeah, this kind of stuff rarely happens, after all." He held his greatsword tautly with one arm as it rested on his shoulder.
"Hypersonic Maelstrom." Upon activation, Gard's body blurred into a sonic vortex, summoning swords at Hypersonic speeds turning the sky into orange.
He instantly manifested 50,000+ glowing, supersonic-accelerated swords that orbit the kaiju in a colossal spherical maelstrom (500 m diameter).
The blades can pierce through hard armors, piercing deep into flesh, scales, and organs with thousands of synchronized thrusts per second.
Verene muttered, "W-what an absurd amount of mana..." Her voice was filled with anticipation and surprise.
Zen smirked then commented, "No wonder he's one of the S-Rankers."
She stretched and raised one of her hand. "Everyone, step back! Or else you'll get hit by one of those blades!" She added, warning everyone to step back from the monster; her voice was calm.
Gard pointed his blade at the monster, then mumbled something under his breath in a low tone, "Penetrate."
The swords pierced through the monster's skin. The speed was incredible; barely anyone saw it— it moved in a blur.
The kaiju roared in pain. Now it's time for the others to strike.
Imra then lunged at high speed while spinning her dagger swiftly, leaping through the ruined buildings.
While mid-air, just above the monster, she casted, "Shatterstring."
A cutting string from her dagger, feeling like cutting the strings of a marionette, aimed at the monster's eye again.
Emmy pointed one of her gun toward the Kaiju's weak spot "Venom Sovereign."
A single shot, carrying a cocktail of world's most lethal venoms aiming at the neck of the Kaiju.
The kaiju tried to regenerate once again, however... "Decay Inversion." Meganne held her staff as it glowed grey.
It invert the monster's regeneration process, causing healed areas of the kaiju to rot faster than they repair.
"Luminant Spear!" Lucien shouted, as a massive javelin of pure focused light appeared above, lit up the sky with the support of Ivy.
The attacks made the kaiju stumble backward.
As if the situation had not gotten worse for the monster, few of the high rank adventurers already have their attacks ready to hit its target.
"Howling Crescent..." Regis cast. Sending a wide, curved crescent of shrieking wind that knocked the monster off its feet.
The kaiju fell to the ground, crushing anyone beneath it...
"Prism Shard Volley!"
Ives fired a single arrow aiming at the sky, which fractured into dozens of prism shards mid-flight, peppering a wide area and hitting the monster all over its torso.
Gul lunged at high speed; his body moved in a blur.
"Reverbshock Finale."
His ultimate combo thrust, a finale of stacked reverberations leading to a total shockwave against the kaiju's body as the tip of his blade punctured it.
Followed by... "Void Fighting Style: Abyss Claw."
Rainier's claw-hand rakes that tear even the tough skin of the monster, creating wounds from a distance.
Maugier stretched both of his wrists. "Magi sacrifice!"
His eyes and nose starts bleeding, sacrificing the rest of his magic to transfer it to Baudin.
Baudin who was lunging at the monster, holding his greatsword with both hands; veins bulged from his arms, and his body glowed red.
"Just die already, you fat lizard!" He poured all of his mana through his blade, then shouted, "Apex Cleave!!!"
A massive cascading vertical onslaught, where pure strength becomes waterfall of destruction.
Lucien's "Luminant Spear" spell directly hit the monster on its torso, landing a fatal blow.
At the same time, the kaiju was beheaded by Baudin's devastating slash.
It's clear that the humans took the win. "We won!!!" soldiers raised their plasmatic guns in celebration.
The surroundings seemed to calm down as the heat began to fade from the kaiju.
"Finally..." Gard's voice was filled with exhaustion; his vision blurred, almost causing him to pass out.
Lucien caught him from behind and let his arm rest on his shoulder. "Are you okay?" he smiled..
"Looks like you finally wore out, huh?" Benoit spoke as he smirked, with a massive shield attached to his back. "By the way, have you seen Mel?" he asked.
A news helicopter flew overhead, recording everything for news reports.
— Paris, 7th Arrondissement —
Loki's Apartment, 11:02 a.m.
The elevator doors slid open. Loki stepped out into the quiet hallway, still wearing his headphones. A few faint crimson stains of blood on his clothes, but he didn't bother wiping them off.
The building was almost empty—most of the residents had already fled into the city or toward the southern evacuation routes after the emergency alerts.
He unlocked the door to his one-bedroom apartment; he didn't need the key to open it. With a lazy flick of his finger, the lock simply clicked open on its own.
Inside, the place was cozy and tidy: black leather couch, a large wall-mounted TV, a gaming setup in the corner, and a grand piano in the living room.
Loki took off his jacket and tossed it onto the couch.
He grabbed a bottle of pineapple juice from the refrigerator, then returned to the couch and dropped his body into the cushions.
He pulled off the TV remote, took off the headphones, and flicked the TV on.
A serious-looking female news reporter appeared, her voice steady but clearly strained.

The TV screen shows a footage of the Kaiju body slumped on the beach beheaded and a massive light javelin punctured against its torso.
While the news continued in the background, a knock on the door was heard from outside. "Huh? I'm too lazy to open the door." Loki pondered as he continued to take a sip on the juice.
