A rare sight.
Secretary Ryu and Manager Hyun were sitting at the same table voluntarily.
Ryu sipped her coffee.
Hyun stared at his laptop.
Ryu crossed her arms.
Ryu: "Have you found something?"
Hyun: "I've been tracking the number for three days."
Ryu: "And?"
A notification appeared on his screen.
Ding.
Hyun's eyes narrowed.
Hyun: "Got it."
Ryu immediately leaned forward.
Ryu: "Who is it?"
Hyun: "The registered name is..."
He clicked the file.
Hyun: "Kai Wen."
Ryu froze.
Ryu: "Kai Wen?"
Hyun: "You know him?"
Ryu: "The name sounds familiar."
Hyun: "Let's see the photo."
He opened another file.
The profile picture appeared.
Ryu's eyes widened.
Ryu: "Wait."
Hyun: "What?"
Ryu: "I've seen him before."
Hyun: "Where?"
Ryu: "At the E-Palette inauguration."
Hyun: "Really?"
Ryu: "Yes."
Hyun zoomed in.
Hyun: "Now that I think about it..."
Hyun: "He attended several of Jiho's fan meetings too."
Ryu: "That's strange."
Both looked at each other.

Scene 2 – Unexpected Witnesses
The café door opened.
Mahi and Cheng walked inside.
Laughing.
Arguing over dessert.
Then—
Mahi spotted Ryu.
Mahi: "Ryu?!"
Ryu looked up.
Ryu: "Mahi?"
Mahi immediately walked over.
Mahi: "What are you doing outside the office?"
Ryu: "Working."
Mahi: "In a café?"
Ryu: "Unfortunately."
Hyun laughed.
Mahi looked between them suspiciously.
Mahi: "Okay... this is weird."
Ryu: "Actually, can you look at this photo?"
She turned the laptop.
Mahi stared.
Then blinked.
Mahi: "I've seen him."
Everyone froze.
Ryu: "Where?"
Mahi: "Cheng, look."
Cheng leaned over.
The moment he saw the photo—
His eyes widened.
Cheng: "No way."
Hyun: "You know him?"
Cheng: "Of course."
Mahi: "He was our English teacher."
Silence.
Ryu: "...What?"
Cheng: "Senior year."
Mahi: "Mr. Kai Wen."
Hyun slowly closed his laptop.
Hyun: "Okay."
Ryu: "That's not suspicious at all."
Hyun: "Not suspicious."
Ryu: "Extremely suspicious."
Scene 3 – Another Surprise
Mahi looked at them.
Mahi: "What's going on?"
Ryu: "Investigation."
Mahi: "Sounds fun."
Hyun: "It's not."
Mahi: "Then why are you both together?"
Ryu: "Working."
Mahi: "Right."
Cheng: "You two work together now?"
Both answered instantly.
Ryu & Hyun: "Yes."
Cheng nearly jumped.
Cheng: "Okay..."
Mahi: "That's scary."
Ryu suddenly narrowed her eyes.
Ryu: "Wait."
Mahi: "What?"
Ryu: "What are YOU two doing together?"
Silence.
Mahi looked away.
Cheng looked at the ceiling.
Ryu gasped dramatically.
Ryu: "NO WAY."
Mahi: "..."
Ryu: "Tell me."
Mahi: "..."
Ryu: "NOW."
Mahi sighed.
Mahi: "We're dating."
Dead silence.
Then—
Ryu: "SINCE WHEN?!"
The entire café turned to look.
Cheng: "Please lower your voice."
Ryu: "NO."
Mahi: "A few years."
Ryu: "A FEW YEARS?!"
Cheng: "Please."
Ryu: "Kiara doesn't know?"
Mahi: "No."
Ryu: "Wonderful."
Mahi immediately pointed.
Mahi: "Don't."
Ryu: "I'm telling her."
Mahi: "Ryu."
Ryu: "I'm absolutely telling her."

Kiara was reviewing documents.
Ryu rushed inside.
Kiara: "Why are you running?"
Ryu: "Important information."
Kiara: "The company is on fire?"
Ryu: "Worse."
Kiara: "What happened?"
Ryu: "Mahi is dating Cheng."
Silence.
Kiara blinked.
Kiara: "...What?"
Ryu: "For years."
Kiara: "FOR YEARS?"
Ryu: "Exactly my reaction."
Kiara leaned back.
Completely shocked.
Kiara: "That explains so much."
Ryu: "Right?"
Kiara: "I thought they were just idiots."
Ryu: "Apparently they're romantic idiots."

Hyun entered Jiho's office.
Jiho: "You found the number owner?"
Hyun: "Yes."
Jiho: "Who?"
Hyun: "Kai Wen."
Jiho frowned.
Jiho: "That name sounds familiar."
Hyun: "Your old English teacher."
Jiho immediately sat upright.
Jiho: "Wait."
Hyun: "Exactly."
Jiho: "Why would my teacher be involved?"
Hyun: "That's what we're trying to figure out."
Jiho: "Anything else?"
Hyun sighed.
Hyun: "Mahi and Cheng are dating."
Jiho nearly dropped his coffee.

Kiara: "About Mahi and Cheng?"
Jiho: "YES."
Kiara: "No."
Jiho: "Me neither."
Both laughed.
For several seconds.
It felt normal.

Kiara sat up.

Jiho: "Kai Wen."
Silence.
Kiara: "Our teacher?"
Jiho: "Looks like it."
