Chapter 49 - Chapter Forty-Eight: An Unforgettable Day

Three years later, Emilia was six years old, and Lumière was eight. Lumière's genius and strength had grown, and his fame had spread across the continents. But no one in the Oriana Empire realized that the real danger was about to begin. In a forest near the empire, the angel Lilith appeared, accompanied by a monstrous, destructive beast created specifically to kill Lumière because he was the heir of the Gin Moto.

Lilith spoke: "Are you ready, my child?"

Lumière was preparing to go hunting and forbade Emilia from following him, saying: "Emilia, this is a very difficult task, so don't follow me, do you understand?"

Emilia: "I want your help, brother. I've grown strong too."

Lumière: "No means no, Emilia." Lumière set off on his perilous quest towards a mountain cave nestled in the forests on the border between the Oriana Empire and the Union Kingdom. He walked with unwavering determination, his sole purpose being to obtain a map that would lead him to the legendary sword of the Moto family—the Bledian (the Yellow Sword of the Assassin), a truly terrifying weapon.

Lumière reached a resting place, but upon hearing a strange movement, he drew his sword to attack, only to find Emilia had followed him.

Lumière was furious at her defiance.

"Emilia, what are you doing here? Didn't I tell you not to follow me?"

"Don't worry about me, brother. I'll protect you from behind."

"You. Well, don't you dare be reckless. You won't leave my side, do you understand?" (He gave her a stern, serious look.) After a while, they entered the mountain cave searching for the map. They reached the cave's end, where Lumière began to think rationally about where the map was hidden. An ancient chessboard appeared before him, and in front of it stood a stone statue of a man—yes, he had been the map's guardian in the past.

Lumière: Now I understand. How do I find the map?

He began playing chess, making his first move until the statue moved to play against him. Emilia watched nervously.

After a while, Lumière finished and defeated the statue, causing the board to move and reveal the sword map.

Lumière: Finally!

Then, in what was described as the most violent and difficult scene, the entrance to the mountain cavern was terrifyingly destroyed by the angel Lilith.

Lilith: And now it's your turn, you monster, Vargor, The Thorny Abyss Nightmare.

The Thorny Abyss Nightmare appeared before Lumière and Emilia.

Emilia's gaze was filled with terror, and she froze in sheer fear.

Lumière: Impossible! This kind of monster couldn't possibly be in a place like this. It's unbelievable! Someone must have brought it here on purpose. I understand, it's because of my teacher, Gin. He's always been a target of your wretch! (He shouts angrily.)

Lumière grabbed Emilia by the shoulders and said: Emilia, I will protect you at all costs.

Lumière took out the Magical Teleportation Stone. This stone allows one person to teleport.

Emilia: I won't leave you alone. It's all my fault. I'm sorry, brother. I didn't listen to you. Lumière: Don't be sad, it was fate that I should come here.

In a moment of distraction, Lumière struck Emilia hard, knocking her unconscious. Then he activated the Energy Stone, summoning the spirit of the eagle he possessed and mounting it upon him.

Lumière: Please take care of her.

The eagle vanished through the Stone, leaving Lumière alone.

Lumière said: Don't play dumb. I know you're there, Angel Lilith.

Lilith spoke: No wonder Gin Mutu chose you, prodigy boy. So observant, a genius from a young age, possessing one of the most powerful forms of advanced ki.

Lumière: I knew this would happen. Now, let's begin.

Lilith: You must face my little one. If you manage to defeat him, I promise I will fight you.

The monster "Fargor, Nightmare of the Spiny Depths" roared tremendously, then charged at Lumière, who prepared himself and began the bloody battle.
