The "peace" built by the three races and the demons was... terrifying. The demons had access to the innovation of the three great races, due to a pact made by the first leader of the humans, with both the elves and dwarves agreeing; 1 continent for the supply of innovation and technology. The demons had become the strongest race in the world of Exzoizia. Kier Realmheart, former general of the Alderian Knights, was framed and exiled beyond the barrier. Chapter 1 - Prologue: The Pact

The world of Exzoizia was a land of many opportunities, opportunities to fail. It was mostly controlled by Demons, while the creatures of the realm pushed back, fighting for their survival. The elves had always been good with resource management and had made steps forward in technological enhancement. The dwarves were known for their raw strength, being able to move tons of materials. The humans were the middle ground; they neither had the strength of the dwarves, nor the resources and skill for technological advancement like the elves. One day, as the human capital of Alderville was about to fall to the demons, the human king, along with the leaders of the other races, mutually agreed to a pact that was offered to the demon king, Daemon.

"I, King Julius Deva Kronis I, shall offer all human and elven technology to the Demons in exchange for another continent of land. Dwarven strength is included in such a promise. Included with the land is a pact that no demon or creature shall harm any of the three races. In addition, the demons shall protect us from other beings that pose a threat. Emperor Lin-Fan of the Elves and King Jurudan of the Dwarves are in mutual agreement." Julius was shaking; the fear and desperation in his eyes looked amusing to the giant, shadowy and most certainly terrifying creature in front of him.

Daemon smirked. His scorching red eyes, as creepy as ever, looked menacing. The grin on his face, even more so, the pointy teeth in his mouth, surely could kill anyone at any moment. ;

"Well, isn't this intriguing? If I per-say declined this supposed offer of yours, what would you do?"

"I-"Julius was taken aback. He gulped out of sheer nervousness. The possibility of Daemon declining was certainly present, but the thought of him actually doing so felt almost impossible.

"Ahem* It would be in your best interest to accept this offer, Lord Daemon. This offer surely makes the Demon's the strongest race throughout the lands. Even stronger than the Dragons. Respectfully, and in my own humble opinion, it'd be stupid to decline," Lin-Fan spoke up, his voice cold and confident as expected from the elves' master tactician, with a hint of fear and nervousness deep within a few slight cracks.

"He's right, my lord. The pointy-eared peasant is right. It'd be wise to accept their offer. Destroying them comes as no real benefit to the Demons aside from food, and we've got other beings to prey on," Daemon's head wraith, Nyx, had commented. Her face was covered by a hood, and her voice was silent, but wise.

"Hmph, be grateful I haven't slaughtered you yet, you filthy beings. A barrier has been set up around the area. Deliver your part of the pact there." Daemon said gruffly before leaving.
