I dried that last dish real slow, stacking it with the others, listening to his footsteps down the hall, a little uneven already, and I smirked to myself because oh man, this was gonna be fun, wrong as hell, but fun in that sick way I couldn't shake. I followed him after a minute, keeping my steps quiet, not wanting to spook him too soon, and when I got to my old room, the door was cracked open, light on, and I could hear him muttering something under his breath, probably cursing me out.
I pushed the door open wider, and there he was, slumped against the bed frame, trying to stand but his legs looking wobbly, like the dizziness was hitting him full force now, his hand on his forehead, eyes half-closed, breathing heavy.
"Ye-jun," I said, keeping my voice low, stepping in and closing the door behind me, locking it with a click that sounded way too loud in the quiet.
