Toge Inumaki arrived just in time, pulling down his collar. The Snake and Fangs seal on his mouth flashed.

Aoi Todo, mid-charge, froze instantly in place.

Panda dropped from the sky, his iron fist smashing into the side of Todo's face.
"Puh!" Todo spat out a mouthful of blood and phlegm. He wiped his mouth, grinning.
"Just a little test for the new student replacing Okkotsu. No need to get so excited."
"There are only a few days left before the Exchange Event," Panda stood protectively in front of Megumi and Zetsu. "If you cause trouble now, you'll be disqualified."
"Go quickly, go quickly~" Panda waved his paws coyly. "Or I'll report you for molestation!"
"Hmph." Todo dusted himself off. "I've seen enough anyway. I'm leaving."
"Hey! Muscle Baboon!"
White Zetsu peeked out from behind Panda.
"You offended Master Zetsu and you think you can just leave?"
Todo sneered, glancing at the white head hiding like a coward.
"Boring. We'll settle this at the Event."
"Todo! Zetsu!"
A girl with short, dark green hair walked onto the field. She held Todo's uniform jacket.
Mai Zenin.
"Todo," Mai said lazily. "Aren't you going to the Takada-chan Handshake Event?"
Todo froze. His eyes widened.
Takada-chan. The tall idol with the twintails. His goddess.
"OHHH!"
Todo snatched his jacket. "I'm late!"
He sprinted away so fast he left a cartoonish dust cloud behind him.

"Phew." Panda stopped covering Zetsu's mouth. "If I didn't stop you, you would have caused a diplomatic incident."
"If you hadn't stopped me," Zetsu bragged, adjusting his sunglasses. "I would have killed that Baboon with one shot!"
He immediately changed his face and pounced on Mai.
"Niece Mai!"
"I haven't seen you in two years! Let Master Zetsu take a look!"
SMACK.
Mai slapped him on the head.
"Don't call me Niece. The only one you deceived was that stupid woman Maki."
Zetsu took a step back, grinning. "You're twins. Since I'm her Uncle, I'm naturally your Uncle."
"Still taking advantage?" Mai raised an eyebrow. "If I hadn't stepped in, that guy would have beaten you to death."
"Just the Muscle Baboon?" Zetsu scoffed.
Mai glanced at the Pink Revolver (Crimson Lotus) in Zetsu's hand.
"That Cursed Tool... it's powerful. But Todo is a Grade 1 Sorcerer. You wouldn't last seconds."
"Hehe."
Zetsu shook his head, looking mysterious.
"Even without Cursed Tools... if I fired my Hidden Ultimate Move, the Baboon wouldn't last a second!"
He tossed the Crimson Lotus to Mai.
Mai caught it, surprised. "The Ultimate Move?"
Zetsu turned around, leaving a lonely, cool silhouette. He pulled out a cigarette (unlit) and posed.
"Summoning Jutsu: Mirai."
Mai: "..."
I knew it.
She looked at the pink revolver. It was a gift from Zenin Mirai. She hadn't seen him since leaving the clan.
"Yo~"
A mocking voice broke the moment.
Nobara Kugisaki walked over, her uniform torn and dirty.
"You Yin-Yang Woman," Nobara sneered. "You have quite the double standard."
"You despise Yuji for being a Vessel... yet you care so much about a Cursed Spirit like Zetsu?"
"You really are a crazy woman."
"Ha~"
Mai smiled dangerously.
She raised her own silver revolver in her left hand.
She raised the pink Crimson Lotus in her right hand.
CLICK.
Both guns aimed directly at Nobara's head.
"Freshman," Mai whispered. "I have advice for you. If you want to be a Sorcerer... don't provoke those stronger than you."
"Mai!"
Maki stepped forward with her staff. "Put the Red Lotus away."
Panda and Inumaki tensed up.
"Get away," Mai glared at her sister. "You Failure of the Zenin family."
"Failure?" Maki's gaze turned cold. "Look in the mirror."
The air crackled with tension. Sister against sister.
"Stop it~"
Zetsu waved his hands frantically. "Don't fight~"
No one listened. The disgust in the air was palpable.
"Mai. Put the gun down."
A familiar, gentle voice echoed.
Mai froze. She lowered her hands instinctively.
She looked behind Zetsu.
Standing there was a man in a loose white robe, with black hair and a spotless appearance.
He wore a gentle smile that felt terrifyingly out of place.
Zenin Mirai.
"Brother Mirai..." Mai whispered, disbelief in her voice.
To the Zenin twins, Mirai was a god of fear. Those who follow prosper, those who oppose perish.
"Round Deer."
Mirai formed a hand seal.
Shadows spread beneath his feet. A massive Deer Shikigami emerged, radiating Positive Energy (RCT).
Warmth washed over the students.
Megumi's head wound healed. Nobara's bruises vanished.
"Thank you... Mirai-sensei," Megumi and Nobara bowed their heads.
They didn't look him in the eye.
A trace of guilt flashed in their gaze.
He saved us again.
And here we are, spying on him for Gojo.
"It's okay," Mirai said softly, seemingly unaware of their inner conflict. "Don't worry about it."
