Chapter 24 - Chapter 24 Second Soul Skill

The bathroom was filled with steam, and the mirror was covered in a thin mist.

Dongfang Jing's soul power flowed around him as he softly explained,"My second soul skill, 'Mirror Image Imitation,' can create mirror clones. If I copy someone, the clone can use their soul skills, but only with about 20% of their power."

His purple soul rings lit up again, surrounded by shards of mirror, refracting a mesmerizing light.

"This soul skill also has limitations," he added, lightly tapping a shard of mirror floating in the air. "To copy someone, you must completely envelop them with the mirror, just like before."

As he spoke, he gathered soul power in his palm and directed it to the empty space to his left.

The shards of mirror floating around him immediately converged, quickly combining to form another "Dongfang Jing."

The four "people" crammed into the bathroom, suddenly feeling cramped.

A strange atmosphere seemed to rise in the warm steam.

"If I were to copy myself, there would be no need for such a complicated process," Dongfang Jing continued. "The clone possesses half the strength of my original body. Moreover, because it is essentially a mirror image of me, therefore…"

Before he could finish speaking, his figure swayed slightly.

He and the clone overlapped and instantly swapped positions, without a sound!

The entire process was as smooth as flowing water!

Dongfang Yao covered her mouth in surprise, her eyelashes trembling slightly. She looked at the "clone" brother on her left, then at the "mirror image" brother on her right, and then at the original body beside her…

They were exactly the same!

If she hadn't known her brother's abilities beforehand, she would have had no way of distinguishing them!

Even the breathing frequencies of these three "brothers" were completely synchronized.

Seeing her rapid breathing and tense face, Dongfang Jing couldn't help but chuckle and reached out to ruffle her hair: "Having an extra mirror image does indeed make the battle more flexible and gives you more room for maneuver."

He waved his hand and dispersed his mirror image, the shattered mirror dissipating in the air like stardust, and added, "But the consumption is also considerable. Each mirror image created consumes a lot of soul power. And when copying others, you can only copy those whose soul power is lower than mine."

"Even so, brother is still amazing! x2"

Dongfang Yao: "?"

She turned her head sharply and saw that her copy was still standing there, even speaking. Her face turned pale, as if she had seen a ghost.

She subconsciously took a half step back and bumped into the edge of the bathtub behind her.

"Brother, brother… she, she can talk?" she stammered, her finger trembling slightly as she pointed to the mirror image that was identical to herself.

Dongfang Jing nodded. Although he already knew the effect of the soul skill, he was still amazed by the perfect replica.

A thoughtful look flashed in his eyes.

"As expected of 'Mirror Image Replication'… not to mention the identical appearance, even the voice, temperament, and even memories can be perfectly replicated…" he muttered to himself, purple light flowing in his eyes, unable to hide his excitement.

This Mirror Beast had actually given him such a heaven-defying soul skill!

Thinking of testing it, he beckoned to his sister's mirror image.

The other party obediently walked over, stood ready, and looked docile, exactly like the real Dongfang Yao.

It seemed that as the caster, he had complete control over everything about the clone.

"What's your name? Who are you to me?" he asked tentatively.

The mirror image obediently replied in a clear voice, "My name is Dongfang Yao, I'm your sister."

Her tone, expression, and even the slight tilt of her head were exactly the same as the original.

"Then who's standing next to you?"

The mirror image turned its head and glanced at her, frowning slightly. "Isn't she the Yao'er clone that you created with your soul skill? Why hasn't she dissipated yet?"

The real Dongfang Yao pointed at herself, looking completely bewildered.

The mirror image ignored her, only looking at Dongfang Jing with affectionate eyes. "Brother, sit still, I haven't finished scrubbing your back yet~ Yao'er will continue to scrub it for you, and you can scrub it for Yao'er later~"

As she spoke, she went to get a bath towel.

Dongfang Jing couldn't help but chuckle. The test was unnecessary to continue; apart from not bleeding, this mirror image was practically identical to his obedient sister.

He gently patted the mirror image's head, dispelled the soul skill, and the shattered mirror silently vanished.

Because if they didn't take it back soon, the small gas cylinder next to it might explode.

"My dear Yao'er," he said softly, turning to his sullen sister, "Will you still help your brother scrub his back?"

Dongfang Yao's face drooped, her eyes slightly red, on the verge of tears.

She pursed her lips and didn't speak, but still obediently put on the bath towel and silently scrubbed his back, her movements a little more forceful than before.

Even into the night, the little girl remained silent.

In bed, Dongfang Jing felt a warm, cautious figure snuggle into his arms.

A slight smile played on his lips as he gently stroked his sister's soft hair, as if soothing a small animal, his voice tinged with apology:

"I'm sorry, brother was wrong. My sister only has you, no one else. Can you forgive me?"

Dongfang Yao remained silent, burying her face deep in his chest, her arms tightening around him.

After a long while, she said in a muffled, soft voice, "Brother, could you please not use that soul skill on Yao'er anymore... I don't like it."

"Okay, I promise you."

"Then... pinky promise~"

After obtaining their second soul ring, the brother and sister did not immediately leave Shui Lan City.

Firstly, Dongfang Jing's soul power breakthrough was too rapid, requiring time to stabilize;secondly, there was a large soul arena in the city, and he planned to earn more gold soul coins there.

In addition, he also inquired about eyeball soul bones.

However, most soul masters only knew about the head, limbs, torso, and six other parts; some didn't even know what soul bones were, let alone "eyeball soul bones."

Inside the guest room, Dongfang Jing concentrated his energy, gathering his soul power in his eyes.

With a slight thought, the soul bone's ability quietly activated.

After repeated practice, he could now control it stably.

The world before him suddenly changed drastically!

The fine wood grain of the window frame was clearly discernible, and the trails of fallen leaves a hundred meters outside were clearly visible as if in slow motion; even the tiny veins on the leaves' wings were clearly visible.

Under his inner vision, his own meridians and the flow of his soul power were completely exposed.

The soul bone, while not granting him brute force, bestowed upon him unparalleled insight—dynamic vision, farsightedness, and an extreme sensitivity to light and the flow of soul power —did not grant him offensive power.

He put away the soul bone and stepped into the "Hall of Ten Thousand Mirrors."

Just as Dongfang Jing had anticipated.

With his increased soul power, his control over this space also improved considerably.

With a thought, the surrounding mirrored scenes rapidly changed.

Instantly, it simulated the frigid environment of a frozen forest, the chill incredibly realistic.

"Roar!"

The mirror light condensed, and the Armored Saber-toothed Leopard and the Mirror Beast pounced simultaneously.

"Stop!"

Dongfang Jing shouted coldly.

The two beasts immediately halted.

They had both been his opponents, perfectly replicated by the Hall of Ten Thousand Mirrors.

Dongfang had originally thought that anything he had fought could be copied, but he discovered that he could not copy the soul masters he had sparred with in the Soul Arena.

"It seems the only option is to copy the Soul Beasts," Dongfang Jing confirmed.

Immediately, he focused his thoughts again, ordering the two beasts to roar and attack once more!

Just as the two were ten meters apart, the ferocious saber-toothed leopard's movements abruptly halted, as if crushed by an invisible mountain! Its limbs trembled violently, unable to advance an inch!

The Mirror Beast beside it, however, remained completely unaffected, its claws still extended forward.

Indeed,Dongfang Jing could now manipulate gravity, repulsion, and other effects more precisely, applying them to a single target or a small area, significantly improving his control.

This made him consider bringing his sister into this place as well.

He hadn't yet told Dongfang Yao about the existence of the Hall of Ten Thousand Mirrors.

It wasn't that he didn't trust her;on the contrary, Dongfang Yao was the person he trusted most in this world.

He was simply worried that his sister was still young, her Martial Soul not yet awakened.

The mysteries of this place could very well harm her fragile spirit, and the slightest mistake could lead to irreparable consequences.
