After a while of kissing and hugging
Lin Meiyin and Gu Chenyu were fast asleep when there was a light knocking on the door.
Gu Chenyu opened his eyes and then he looked at the door, he grunts and the knocking came again he looked at the door and saw a little figure standing by the door.
"Mommy, Daddy"came a little sad voice.
"Unbelievable "said Gu Chenyu with a black face.
Lin Meiyin had opened her eyes, "What's going on?" She asked.
"It's the little one"said Gu Chenyu.
"Rui Rui is that you?"Lin Meiyin called out.
"Mommy"Rui Rui cried out opening the door.
"Rui Rui what's wrong?" Lin Meiyin asked
"Mommy I'm scared I want to stay with you and Daddy"said Shen Rui.
Lin Meiyin looks at Gu Chenyu who was frowning and he turns and looks at the little girl holding unto her teddy bear, shaking.
"Come here"he said to her, Shen Rui climbs the bed Lin Meiyin covers her with the sheets holding her.
"Go to sleep now"said Lin Meiyin coaxing her to sleep and planting a kiss on her forehead.
Gu Chenyu looked at the little thing sleeping in Lin Meiyin's arms and remembers how he curled up in his mother's arms with his toy, when she had a fight with his father or when he was scared again.
Lin Meiyin held Rui Rui the same way his mother held him, she strokes the little thing's back gently like a mother should.
He felt a pang of jealousy and wished he could be held that way by his wife. He yearned for her love like never before, Gu Chenyu smiles and looks at Lin Meiyin who kept looking at the half asleep Rui Rui, Lin Meiyin felt his burning gaze and looked at him and then her brows furrowed.
"What's wrong? why are you smiling?"she asked.
"I like to be held too you don't coax me this way"said Gu Chenyu. Lin Meiyin was stunned for a moment and looked down at the sleeping Rui Rui and then at her husband who's facial expression had turned into an annoyed look.
"You're not jealous of a little girl are you now Chenyu. Rui Rui's a child and you're a grown man why would you need that?"she asked.
"Well I'm your baby"said Gu Chenyu.
Lin Meiyin wondered if Gu Chenyu had hit his head or fell off the stairs it was way too cringe and cheesy for a CEO to say this.
"This is way too cheesy coming from a President of one of the richest companies"said Lin Meiyin.
"You seemed to like children how about we make one"he whispered softly as he leaned in closer towards Lin Meiyin's face. His gaze traced down to her lips, their breaths mingling, his eyes filled with tenderness and longing and shining in the dark room, "What are you doing? Don't be silly now, we have a child here"said Lin Meiyin. Gu Chenyu frowned and then grinned "I don't care about that"he said seizing her lips immediately, Gu Chenyu gave her little kisses and then he lies down to sleep next to Lin Meiyin and Rui Rui.
The next morning
Louis wakes up and sees a tiny figure fast asleep on the bed next to him.
Lin Meiyin wasn't there only Shen Rui who was still fast asleep holding unto her teddy bear curled up in a corner. Gu Chenyu gets up from the bed and then he covers the sleeping Shen Rui with the sheets.
He goes downstairs and sees Lin Meiyin busy in the kitchen, preparing a nice breakfast for her family.
Gu Chenyu stands behind her wrapping his hands around her small waist.
"You woke up early"he said pecking her cheek.
"I just wanted to make breakfast for you two"said Lin Meiyin.
"It smells good"said Gu Chenyu, "Is Rui Rui still asleep?"Lin Meiyin asked.
"Yes"said Gu Chenyu.
"Master Bo will send someone to bring her stuffs later"said Lin Meiyin.
"For an adopted child she seems very fond of you"said Gu Chenyu.
"We have history together, I helped her climb down a tree when she was four years old, I wonder how she recognized me, the Lin Meiyin from two years ago isn't the same one now, I was also suprised of how she grew so fond of me"said Lin Meiyin.
"Who wouldn't grow fond of you"said Gu Chenyu nibbling on her neck causing her to laugh.
"It tickles "she said to him.
"Mommy, Daddy " came a small voice from behind them.
Gu Chenyu stops and sees Shen Rui standing by the door with red cheeks, holding unto her teddy bear rubbing her eyes.
"Good morning sweetie did you sleep well?"Lin Meiyin asked going to meet Rui Rui.
"It was the best night ever"said Rui Rui.
"Good morning Daddy "said Rui Rui going to hug Gu Chenyu, she wraps her tiny arms around his leg.
Rui Rui was only six years old and she looked like a four year old, her head wasn't even up to his knee yet.
Gu Chenyu smiles and ruffles her hair, "Morning Rui Rui"he said bending down to pick her up.
"I feel so high"said Rui Rui.
"Daddy, is so tall and strong "said Rui Rui, with red cheeks.
"Breakfast is ready"said Lin Meiyin setting the table.
"It's time to eat so you'll get taller"said Gu Chenyu taking Rui Rui to the table.
Gu Chenyu places Rui Rui on a chair and Lin Meiyin serves her some dishes.
"Such a perfect couple this morning " came Aunt Fei's voice as she walks into the living room.
"Good morning Auntie"said Lin Meiyin.
"Auntie why did you come so early?" Gu Chenyu asked.
"I just came and you're already chasing me away so quickly"Aunt Fei pouted.
"You two have forgotten about Auntie, I'm upset"said Aunt Fei with a black face, but that soon faded away as she spotted a little head sitting in-between Lin Meiyin and Gu Chenyu.
"Ah, and who is that little one?"she asked.
Shen Rui who was eating quietly with puffy cheeks stops eating and looks at Aunt Fei, her mouth stained with peppercrumbs, that Gu Chenyu wipes away with a napkin.
"Um this is Rui Rui"said Lin Meiyin.
"Rui Rui say hi to Grandma, "Hello Grandma "she said with pink cheeks.
"And where did this little princess come from?, who's child is this?" Aunt Fei asked with a confused expression.
"She's our adopted daughter "said Lin Meiyin.
"I'm a grandma, come little princess "said Aunt Fei .
