The Medical Clinic closed for the day, and Song Lianhe returned to the General Mansion.
She had spent the last three days leaving early and returning late. No one in the mansion paid her any mind, and she was happy for the peace.
But just as she returned to Xubai Small Building, Zhang Xi arrived with a message.
"Why would my father be looking for me?"
She changed her clothes and came out.

So, Zhang Xi answered properly, "Prince Ling visited the mansion earlier and spoke with the General in the study for a long while. After His Highness left, the General has been in a rather foul mood." He paused, then added, "It would be best for the Second Miss to watch what she says later."
Song Lianhe understood. She had Shuang Ye fetch a jar of dark ointment and gave it to Zhang Xi.
"I heard from Shuang Ye a few days ago that your father sprained his back. Take this back and use it as a hot compress."
