Chapter 72 - Chapter 71: This Is Even More Exaggerated Than I Imagined!

Leaving the audition location, Rob sat in the car and excitedly slapped the steering wheel.

"Done! It's done! Cass, did you see those auditioners behind us? Completely incomparable! That coin trick of yours was brilliant!"

"The director just told me, they want your style!"

Cassius buckled his seatbelt, also in a good mood.

This was the first time since entering Hollywood that he felt he had secured a role so smoothly.

"Next is looking at the contract, then waiting for the notification to join the cast!"

Rob planned while driving.

"You've officially broken into the mainstream TV circle! Although it's just a sitcom, the exposure is definitely not low!"

Cassius nodded.

From a bottom-tier extra to a featured extra with lines, then a supporting role in Insidious, a role in Thor, and now a regular role in a hit sitcom...

He wasn't walking this path fast, but every step was solid.

Although many people in the film circle disdained entering the TV circle for roles, Cassius didn't think so.

Making money and increasing fame!

He thought it was great!

When Cassius returned to Beverly Hills, Kristen was sitting cross-legged on the living room carpet reading a script.

Hearing the commotion, she put down the script and walked out barefoot.

"Looking at your expression, you got it?"

Kristen leaned against the garage door frame, examining his face.

Cassius closed the car door, the corners of his mouth uncontrollably curving upward. "Mmhmm! Han Lee, the new owner of the Williamsburg Diner."

Kristen walked over and naturally took the car keys from his hand.

"I knew you'd have no problem!"

She reached out and pinched his arm. "Did that coin trick work?"

"Worked great! The director said it added memorable points to the character."

"Congrats!"

Kristen looked up at him, a smile in her gray-green eyes.

"Looks like you don't have to play those nerds or convenience store clerks anymore."

She remembered the role invitations Cassius told her about when he first entered the industry.

Cassius smiled and pulled her into his arms, smelling the familiar scent of her hair.

Having someone to share success with immediately felt truly different.

"Worth celebrating!"

Kristen leaned against his chest.

"But before you officially go to Brooklyn to be a boss, you have to accompany me first!"

"Where?"

"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn global promo tour!"

Kristen looked up and made an exaggerated expression.

"London, Tokyo, Sydney... a whole bunch of places. Come with me!"

Cassius raised an eyebrow. "Me?"

He wasn't refusing, just felt it was a bit sudden.

Time-wise, it worked out. 2 Broke Girls wouldn't start filming for another month or so.

Sitcoms like this were recorded live with an audience, so pre-production work had to be thorough.

"You're my boyfriend; what's wrong with accompanying me!"

Kristen said it as a matter of course.

Although she didn't say it explicitly, Cassius understood her intention.

On one hand, to keep her company; on the other, to help him expand his network.

Robert Pattinson was currently one of Hollywood's hottest young male stars. Maintaining a good relationship with him wouldn't hurt.

And running promo with an IP of Twilight's level would definitely bring high exposure.

"Sure!"

Cassius agreed readily.

When actors gathered in a bunch, the chance of attribute orbs dropping was higher!

"Anyway, I have nothing to do before 2 Broke Girls starts shooting. I'll treat it as a publicly funded trip! But your crazy fans won't throw tomatoes at me, right?"

"They dare?"

Kristen huffed, then laughed.

"Relax, maybe your fans will come for autographs too!"

Saying this, she scrutinized his face carefully, tilting her head slightly. "Speaking of which... Cassius, I always feel you're a bit different lately."

"Different how?"

"Can't say~"

Kristen reached out and gently touched his chin.

"Just feel you're easier on the eyes! Skin condition is better too! And I haven't seen you doing skincare!"

She wasn't the type for sweet talk; this straightforward confusion was more genuine.

Cassius held her hand. "Maybe the Los Angeles environment finally started favoring me?"

"Come on!"

Kristen smiled and pulled her hand back, but leaned closer to him. "Anyway, looking at you is quite comfortable!"

A few days later, on the flight to London.

Kristen and Cassius sat together.

When the flight attendant came to serve drinks, she obviously looked at Cassius a few more times.

Kristen put on headphones and habitually leaned her head on Cassius's shoulder.

Adjusting her position, she muttered softly, "Weird, how does it feel more comfortable than before..."

Cassius looked down at her side profile with eyes closed, reaching out to pull up the blanket that had slipped down.

It seemed the effect of the [Male God Enhancer] was slowly manifesting.

During the flight, Kristen woke up, and they shared a pair of headphones to watch a movie.

She occasionally leaned over to roast the plot or leaned on his shoulder to chuckle at a punchline.

Intimacy natural and unpretentious.

Even the flight attendant serving meals couldn't help but smile.

"When we get to London and see Robert, don't get led astray by his dry British humor!"

Kristen reminded him. "He can be quite toxic in private!"

"I think he's quite interesting. At least more real than when playing Edward."

Cassius spoke honestly.

"That's because he finally doesn't have to wear white foundation and spray hairspray!"

Kristen roasted.

As the plane began its descent, outside the window was London's iconic gray sky.

Cassius looked out the window, feeling the body heat beside him, looking forward to this promotional tour a bit more.

Kristen squeezed his hand. "Ready, Mr. Cass?"

"Welcome to the first stop of the Twilight promo tour. Ready to face screams and flashing lights?"

The moment the plane wheels touched the Heathrow runway, Cassius felt Kristen beside him imperceptibly straighten her back.

The relaxed feeling on the plane vanished instantly.

Her face showed no expression, but her eyes had switched to that slightly distant celebrity mode.

The flight crew guided first-class passengers to disembark first.

Just walking to the jet bridge exit, before entering the public area, a tsunami-like scream could be faintly heard, tightening one's heart even through the walls.

Cassius had participated in Thor promotional events and seen fan enthusiasm, but the scene before him still stunned him for a moment.

Along the entire path to the VIP channel, separated by huge glass curtain walls, outside was a sea of black—people everywhere.

Mostly young girls, and many who looked even younger.

They held posters and signs that read:

"EDWARD & BELLA FOREVER"

"TEAM EDWARD"

"WE LOVE ROB & KRISTEN"

...

Their faces were filled with excitement and a kind of religious fervor.

The screams and cries almost lifted the airport roof.

Security and staff formed a thick human wall, struggling to maintain order.

"This is even more exaggerated than I imagined!"

Cassius couldn't help whispering to Kristen.

Kristen twitched the corner of her mouth without turning back. "Welcome to my daily life. Stick close, don't get separated!"

Robert also caught up from behind.

He wore a black coat and sunglasses today, lips pressed into a thin line, giving Cassius a helpless expression.

When the figures of the three appeared at the channel exit, the roar outside instantly rose several decibels, reaching a deafening level.
