Chapter 12 - Chapter Twelve: Vulture (1)

Yo skinmelder thanks for the power stone

🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️

Two weeks had passed since he fought Herman Schultz. And now Peter was back to settling normal Peter Parker issues like homework and school.

But currently he was chilling with Harry in his father's mansion. They were playing a video game and Harry was winning because Peter's attention was divided. He was constantly looking outside the massive glass wall, checking to see if there was any emergency. Even though he already had his spider sense and Anna, he was still paranoid.

"What's going on Peter?" Harry asked, dropping his gaming pad.

"Umm what do you mean?"

"You're leaving everyone Peter. You barely hang out with us. What is going on with you Peter?"

"There's nothing wrong with me bro, I'm just kinda busy."

"With what! Dear God Peter! We've gone to see four different movies without you Peter!" Harry yelled, getting angry.

"You guys didn't invite me....."

"We did! But you always give us one stupid excuse or the other. I'm not asking because of Carla or MJ, I'm asking because of myself. We were like brothers Peter. But now I don't even know you anymore. Let's not forget the constant bruises. Bro who is doing this to you? Tell me dude, and I'll make sure he stops existing!"

Peter's eyes widened.

He didn't realise how horrible his absence had affected his friends. Especially Harry.

"Harry, I swear I want to tell you.....but if I do..... it'll...no sorry."

Harry exhaled and walked towards the window, staring at the city.

"You're Spiderman aren't you?"

Peter's breath paused, as his brain started processing more thoughts than he could handle.

How the hell did Harry know!

Harry burst into laughter, and Peter awkwardly laughed too.

"I'm just joking. There's no way you can be Spiderman!"

"Yeah.....no way." They talked and laughed, the mood lightening up a little.

Peter understood Harry's anger. In truth he wasn't really a good friend, and it was more than enough reason for him to be mad.

Norman Osborn, Harry's father, walked into them.

"Ah, Peter. You're here. How's your aunt May?"

"She's fine sir. It's good to see you Mr Osborn."

Norman smiled and nodded, walking away.

He entered his home office to do some work.

Peter stood up to leave, when suddenly he heard a loud boom.

"Dad!" Harry screamed, running to Norman's office.

He gasped as he saw a weird robotic knight that had metallic wings holding his father by the throat.

"Let him go!" Harry screamed, picking a large vase. He tossed it at the attacker but the latter just slapped it away.

THWIP!

Spiderman appeared, wearing his regular red and blue suit. Web zipping towards the attacker, he landed a heavy punch on him, causing the levitating knight to fly outside, letting go of Norman.

"Take your son and go!" Spiderman yelled at Osborn, and the latter immediately obeyed.

"Spiderman, good to see you." A voice hissed, as the knight appeared again.

"And who exactly are you?"

"I'm the Vulture!"

"Man, you are flocked up! Get it?"

Vulture roared and descended towards Spiderman, grabbing him by the throat. He flew out, bursting the wall, and threw Spiderman away, into the high sky.

"I can't fly bird brain!" Spiderman yelled, "but I can do this!"

He spun two webs to Vulture's wings and pulled himself upward, delivering an uppercut to the aerial based villain.

"You call those wings? I've seen better at Buffalo Wild wings!"

"Just shut up!" Vulture screamed in frustration. He grabbed Spiderman's head and descended like a Falcon, smashing the hero into the ground.

"You like talking so much right? Why don't you use all your jokes in the land of the dead!"

"Well.....arhhh....I can't, because it'll be full of dead beat people." Spiderman replied, kicking the Vulture away.

"You know, you're less Vulture. More like a pigeon with a grudge!'

"What are you talking about?"

"I know you dude. Adrian Toomes, I know your grudge against Norman. But I think you're going way overboard."

"Shut the hell up!"

"Don't you think you're a little too old for this?"

Vulture raised his hand, and the middle of his palms glowed with a blue light.

"Oh boy-"

—spider sense—

BOOM!!!

Spiderman swung faster than he expected, carrying people away from the collapsing building.

Suddenly a sharp object pierced his stomach, and he was slowly lifted up.

Vulture smiled as his claws pierced through Spiderman.

"You'll have to die here Spiderman." Vulture said, placing his hand on Spiderman's chest.

A loud humming sound was heard, and a blue light shone from his palms.

Spiderman grabbed his hand and twisted, causing the blast to go up into the sky.

He pulled himself out of the class and punched Vulture, sending the latter flying.

"Ah shucks, this doesn't look good at all."

A swift dive and Vulture grabbed Spiderman again, tossing him into the sky. He aimed his palms and then—

.KABOOM!!!!!!

—blasted Spiderman mid air.

The hero flew like a rag doll, crashing into a heavy crane.

Vulture scoffed and flew back to the Osborn's mansion, going for his main target.

He grabbed Norman and flew outside.

"Let's play a game, shall we? I throw, and I catch. I miss, you die."

"That voice... Adrian Toomes! You sick bastard.!!!" Norman replied, struggling to free himself.

Vulture threw him up, let him fall for a while, and then caught him.

He repeated the process 4 times, until Norman started feeling sick in his stomach.

Then he finally tossed Norman, and let him fall.

"Oops my hand slipped."

Norman fell quietly, not even screaming for help.

THWIP!!

"You again! You should be dead!" Vulture yelled in anger, as Spiderman dived down and saved Norman.

He dropped the billionaire softly, and slowly turned to face the Vulture.

The latter descended at a frightening speed, trying to grab Spiderman, but the hero was ready. He clenched his fist and punched Vulture in the face, cracking his mask and blasting him backwards.

With a quick web zipping motion, Spiderman convered the distance between them and grabbed Vulture's leg. He slammed the villain into a wall and stomped his foot on his chest.

BOOM!

Vulture blasted him away with his hand cannons. Spiderman's suit was already badly damaged, and his healing was working overtime to keep him alive. He crashed straight into a restaurant, scaring the customers.

"My legs," he groaned, "I can't feel my legs."

That was because his leg was twisted into a weird angle.

'Ok, steady breaths Peter. You're gonna die if you don't get up soon.' he thought to himself, but he lost all hopes when a car was thrown towards him.

"Run!" He screamed, pushing himself up. His legs looked slightly normal now, and he could walk.

Even though it hurt like hell, he still pushed himself up and stretched his hand forward.

A loud bang was heard, as Spiderman caught the car.

"I said run! Run goddamn it!"

Half of his mask had been ripped, his suit looked like he used it to fight world war one.

"Peter, can you hear me?" Anna asked through the comms.

"Anna? Where have you been?"

"Your comms are badly damaged, it's was really hard trying to reestablish the connection. Anyways, I'm sending a suit your way, it's the Electro suit."

"How?"

"A drone. Swing to the top of that red building!"

Spiderman obeyed and swung out of the damaged restaurant.

His legs were a lot better now, and he was back in action.

Not completely though.

His body hurt a lot, and he just wanted to sleep.

He landed on the red building, and the drone met him there.

Vulture, flew round looking for Spiderman.

"Where is Spiderman!" Vulture asked, roaring at the scrambling civilians.

He decided to just destroy his surroundings, and began blasting the people and buildings around him.

"I said, where is Spiderman —ughh!" A heavy punch shut him up, as he flew like a ragdoll and crashed.

"I'm here you angry bird!" Spiderman replied, landing near him.

—spider sense —

Something was happening.

Or about to happen.

He didn't know. His spider sense buzzed non stop and it was driving him crazy.

He looked round as time seemed to slow down.

Suddenly, he heard a scream, and ran forward.

He saw Vulture on the floor, kneeling down. The villain grabbed his head and screamed, as noticeable physical changes occurred in his body. He became 20 years younger, he had suddenly developed muscles, and the most unsettling of them all was his wings.

"Anna? Are you seeing this?"

"Hold on Peter. Wait a minute, look at that empty syringe. Oh no.Adrian, what have you done?"

Anna's voice dropped, almost trembling with the weight of discovery

"It seems he's created some sort of serum that enhances his strength — almost like the Super Soldier Serum used on Captain America. But this one is different… it's interacting with his mechanical wings. The serum isn't just boosting his muscles; it's altering his physiology at the molecular level. The bio-electro fusion pathways in his bloodstream are syncing with the nano-alloy joints of the wings, almost as if his body is rewriting itself to merge with the machinery. It's not just augmentation anymore — it's integration. The serum is fusing him to his tech, turning the wings into an extension of his nervous system. He's not wearing them… he is them."

Spiderman gulped.

"Well I'll be damned."
