Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 I am the Moon Goddess

Chapter 4 I am the Moon Goddess

The silvery-white light is different from the silvery glow of the moonlight. It is composed of scattered silvery fragments of light and is even more silvery-white and shiny than the moonlight.

It was as if countless fireflies, emitting a silvery glow, formed an unmissable ray of light that descended upon the earth.

It is cool and aloof, yet gorgeous and dazzling.

It seems as if the Milky Way has fallen from the ninth heaven.

A beam of light from the moon could be seen falling to earth from all over the world. Some people who hadn't fallen asleep at night shouted that it was a miracle, either waking up those around them or running home to wake up their families.

The Imperial Palace of the Great Yong Kingdom

The eunuchs and guards on night watch saw the strange phenomenon in the sky and rushed in to wake the emperor.

The emperor, who was over fifty years old, came out wearing an outer robe. Looking at the light that was shining down from the moon in the distance, he summoned the leader of the Golden Armor Guard: "Take men and investigate immediately. It looks like it is within the territory of my Dayong. Don't let other countries get there first."

Whether it's a treasure falling from the sky or a deity descending to earth, it can only belong to the Great Yong.

As for whether it will be a disaster, the moon and the sun have been symbols of the gods since ancient times. The light falling from the moon looks so sacred, how could it be related to disaster!

The emperor was already convinced that it was a treasure that had fallen from the sky, but he thought it was impossible that it was a deity descending from heaven.

Ordinary people might think it was a deity descending to earth, but having been emperor for so many years and reading through history books, I have never seen a deity appear.

As for those emperors who claimed to have been sent to them by deities in dreams or to be ordained by Heaven, everyone knows it's just a way to consolidate their rule and deceive the people.

If there truly are deities, why have they never been angered by so many members of royal families throughout history using their names?

Having held a high position for a long time, the emperor felt that there were probably no immortals in this world.

The leader of the Golden Armor Guards accepted the order and left.

Unlike the emperor, who did not believe in gods, the people in various places were awakened by the noise. When they got up and saw the silvery-white light that seemed to connect heaven and earth, they all knelt down and kowtowed, saying that a god had descended to earth.

Deep in the mountains and forests

The group closest to the silvery-white light were startled awake. Looking at the beautiful, cool, and dazzling pillar of light, they all stood up and looked in that direction.

The two men sleeping in the carriage were also awakened by the commotion of the guards outside. When they got off the carriage, they saw a scene that could only be described as a miracle.

"This is…" He Yu opened her mouth slightly, her face full of surprise.

He Yan, standing to the side, was also shocked, especially seeing how close the light was to them, and he couldn't help but feel nervous.

What miracle brought them together?

He quickly came to his senses and said to He Yu and the guards around him, "Go and take a look."

No one objected to what he said.

Everyone's heart was pounding, feeling as if they might have encountered an extraordinary opportunity.

No one could remain unmoved or fail to investigate such a miraculous scene.

Many people, including those from the town closest to this remote mountain forest, have already begun setting off overnight to reach it.

People from even further away are also gradually making their way to this place.

Xi Yue stood in the light, watching her faith value steadily increase.

The system, perched on her shoulder, stared in disbelief.

The original 001 system took a hundred years to accumulate five thousand faith points to exchange for its first skill, but its host has only been using it for a short time.

Before I've even officially met a single person, my faith points have already skyrocketed to 100,000! And they're still going up!

"How is this possible…" it murmured.

Xi Yue explained, "The host of 001 did good deeds for the people around him, and people only regarded him as a good neighbor. What faith value could he have? But it's different now. The miracles created by this skill can be seen by everyone on this land. People have awe and faith in miracles and gods, which is different from how they treat ordinary neighbors."

"Whether in terms of status or numbers, they are incomparable, and their faith levels are naturally different."

At this point, looking at the faith points that had already reached 200,000, Xi Yue felt that this speed was still too slow.

However, there was nothing that could be done. It was late at night, and many people were asleep. With the doors and windows closed, no one would notice the strange phenomenon appearing in the distant sky.

It's estimated that the matter won't be discussed and spread until dawn tomorrow.

The system notified that the people not far away were almost there, only a little over a hundred meters away. Xi Yue immediately stopped the skill that had been maintained for almost six minutes.

The pillar of light between heaven and earth slowly faded and then disappeared.

He Yan and He Yu watched as the strange phenomenon disappeared. The place where it landed was not far ahead. Suppressing their excitement and curiosity, they quickly ran over.

The guards behind him, swords in hand, hurriedly followed.

Soon, a woman dressed in a gorgeous silver dress appeared in everyone's sight.

The garment seemed woven from moonlight, adorned with shimmering starlight. It had no patterns whatsoever, yet it appeared more magnificent and exquisite than any other garment in the world.

Her face was flawless, with an ethereal beauty that seemed otherworldly.

Her long, black hair cascaded down her back, with a white jade hairpin of unknown origin inserted in it.

Just one glance, even without seeing those otherworldly clothes, was enough to make one realize that distinguishing gods from mortals is simply a matter of one face.

At first glance, no one would think she was just an ordinary woman.

Especially since the moonlight around her seemed to be brighter than elsewhere, everyone perked up.

Gods have always existed only in myths and legends; no one has ever seen them since ancient times.

Did they meet today?

Unable to contain her excitement, He Yu wanted to speak, but the words stuck in her throat.

I'm so nervous!

He Yan, barely managing to control himself, stepped forward and solemnly bowed: "I, a mortal, He Yan, greet the deity. May I ask which venerable god has descended to earth?"

The guards following behind had already sheathed the knives they were holding, their faces filled with awe.

Xi Yue's expression remained calm as she glanced lightly at the crowd.

Within the realm of skills, all is the king's domain!

The crowd felt as if a mountain had crushed them with that single, gentle glance from the deity, making it hard to breathe and causing their vision to blur. Their legs trembled uncontrollably, and they nearly collapsed to their knees!

This feeling seemed to last only a moment, yet it also felt like an entire lifetime.

In short, after the god casually withdrew his gaze, everyone was covered in sweat, as if they had just escaped death.

He Yu's initial excitement vanished, replaced by awe and fear.

Is this the difference between gods and humans? Like the difference between humans and ants?

Even without any intention to harm, just a glance or a look can nearly bring a mortal to the brink of death!

"I am the moon god."

With a single, light word from the deity, the crowd's ears were momentarily cleared, as if hearing celestial music
