Reed was momentarily itching to ask Lucas about the secrets of the Multiverse. However, what came out of his mouth was.
"Sorcerer Supreme, you said Galactus isn't dead. Will keeping him alive cause any accidents?"
Lucas looked at Reed, seeing through him. "You want to kill him?"
Reed was silent for a moment, then nodded.
Then, Susan, Johnny, Ben, and Dr. Doom exchanged glances and also nodded.
Seeing this, Lucas chuckled, but refused, "No."
"Why? He killed so many people—"
Susan began to question, but was interrupted by Reed before she could finish.
Reed lowered his head and said, "Sue was just speaking out of turn. We hope the Sorcerer Supreme will forgive her. We dare not question the Sorcerer Supreme's decision."
Lucas rubbed his forehead, speechless. "Why do you make me sound like some big villain? My image is clearly very approachable."
"I won't preach big philosophies to you. Your homeland and civilization have been destroyed, so these big philosophies have nothing to do with you."
"I'm not killing Galactus because I asked him for some things a while ago and owe him a small favor."
"But if you don't kill him, he will destroy more Planets and kill more people in the future." Susan couldn't help but say.
"I'm not even preaching big philosophies to you, so why are you preaching to me?" Lucas shook his head.
"Galactus is a part of the ecological cycle of the entire Multiverse."
"For example, his devouring of Planets is like a wolf eating a sheep. To the sheep, this is cruel, but it's just an ordinary part of the entire ecosystem."
"When faced with a wolf's hunt, sheep don't have to sit idly by. They can take any action to escape, or even use their horns and hooves to fight back and kill the wolf. Because sheep are also a part of this ecosystem."
"But humans cannot. Too much human interference will destroy this ecology."
Lucas looked at Susan. "Do you understand what I mean?"
Susan didn't answer, she merely retorted, "Then, Sorcerer Supreme, are you a sheep or a shepherd?"
Lucas smiled. "I am a God, and a human, and a good person. You are very lucky. Although I won't help you kill Galactus, I can help you save your world."
"Save our world?"
Dr. Doom exclaimed, his voice agitated, confirming again, "Really? Is this truly something a human can do?"
Lucas nodded. "Humans cannot, but besides being a good person, I am also a God."
During the Infinite Ultron event, millions of Universes were slaughtered, and Lucas found it difficult to reverse.
For the Galactus event, a mere Earth, it was effortless for him.
Mordo lowered his voice, his tone solemn. "Sorcerer Lucas, are you trying to reverse the time of a Planet to undo everything that Galactus destroyed? Doing so would cause severe damage to the spacetime structure of the Universe."
Although Mordo deliberately lowered his voice, the Fantastic Four and Dr. Doom were all superhumans whose bodies had been transformed by cosmic rays.
Upon hearing this, their hearts sank.
At this moment, they no longer cared whether Lucas was boasting or deceiving them. They only worried that Lucas would go back on his word because of this.
"It's fine. Reversing the time of a Planet is a small matter. Strange has seen me do it."
"I haven't." Strange interjected abruptly.
"I wasn't talking about you, but another Strange."
Although Lucas said so, Mordo was still uneasy and wanted to persuade him further, but was pulled aside by Wong.
However, after Wong's explanation, Mordo's brow furrowed even more tightly, and his gaze towards Lucas was somewhat unfriendly.
No wonder Strange was so bold, casually using Time Magic. It turns out his teacher had taught him. Indeed, a bad example from above leads to bad behavior below.
"Mordo, it's fine if you grumble in front of me, but absolutely do not grumble in front of the Sorcerer Supreme. Be careful, she might beat you."
Mordo said stubbornly, "I'm not afraid. I'm referring to the Ancient One from another Universe."
Lucas: "…"
How to refute? What he said seemed to be correct.
"Mordo, I'm busy now. We'll talk later when I'm done." Lucas didn't want to argue.
He pointed his fingers to draw a circle, sparks flickered, and a golden-yellow portal opened.
Then, raising his hand to grasp the void, Lucas grabbed the unconscious Galactus lying on the ground and threw him towards the portal.
On the other side of the portal, a void was vaguely visible.
Before reversing the time where Dr. Doom was, he planned to imprison Galactus for a while. Then, he would extract as much energy from Galactus as he had spent.
"Gentlemen, I still have some matters to attend to. I will return to reality to see you after I'm done. Please wait patiently for a few days."
After instructing the Fantastic Four and Dr. Doom, Lucas transformed into a stream of light and shot into the sky, suddenly disappearing mid-air, as if he had entered another dimension.
Tony and the others were still waiting for him to return to the Neutral Zone to start work.
Back on the spaceship in the Neutral Zone, a bored Lucas thought of a question.
He took a portion of Galactus's energy, and Galactus would have to devour one more Planet.
But then again, what did Galactus's sins have to do with him?
Was he supposed to keep Galactus in captivity?
Besides, Galactus devours Planets not only to alleviate his hunger but also to execute a cosmic-level rule. However, this rule is a disaster for the life on the devoured Planets, a disaster that no life, no civilization can accept.
Galactus's existence is problematic, and the rules and order of this Universe are problematic.
From a human perspective, Lucas came to a conclusion.
This kind of cosmic rule objectified civilization and life.
The Gods standing at the pinnacle of the Multiverse, who claimed to be the true Masters of this Universe, regarded the countless other civilizations in the Multiverse as their property.
They only pursued the better development of the Multiverse and the strengthening of their own power, completely disregarding the dignity and intrinsic value of civilization and life.
This was something Lucas, as a human, could not accept, but… out of sight, out of mind.
Shaking his head, Lucas sealed away these annoying thoughts.
Knock! Knock!
"Come in."
Click!
The sound of a door opening echoed, and Tony and the other four filed in.
"Lucas, what happened?" Tony asked.
Earlier, Lucas had suddenly pulled the five of them back into the spaceship, leaving behind a magic barrier before hastily departing. This made it hard for Tony not to suspect that something unexpected had occurred.
"Earth had a bit of a problem."
Lucas briefly explained to them that Galactus had attacked Earth.
Upon hearing this, their expressions varied, mostly a mix of solemnity and worry, tinged with a bit of lingering fear and relief.
After a moment of silence, Natasha let out a self-deprecating laugh to lighten the mood. "Why is it that after meeting you, I always have this feeling that Earth is about to end at any moment? I remember it wasn't like this a few years ago."
Lucas pondered seriously for a moment, then said earnestly, "Natasha, it might be because after meeting me, you went 'underwater' and saw the scenery beneath the surface. Just because you didn't see some things before, doesn't mean they didn't exist."
"Oh, maybe." Natasha shrugged.
She looked around and, finding no extra chairs in the spaceship room, simply propped herself up and sat on the desk, as if grumbling, "I miss the time before I went 'underwater.' Back then, I just had to do my job as an Agent. I didn't need to worry about the safety of Earth, nor did I need to worry about the survival of the Universe."
Lucas glanced at Natasha, shaking his head with a chuckle. "Natasha, if you need to see a Doctor, I can recommend one for you."
"I can reimburse the cost." Tony added from the side.
"That won't be necessary, I'm Black Widow, not that fragile." Natasha smiled. "But, billionaire, can it be cashed out? I saw a new sports car a while ago."
"Of course. You can." Tony shrugged, "When we get back, just send the bill to Jarvis."
"I also saw a new motorcycle."
"I hope the research funding can be increased."
Steve and Bruce took the opportunity to state their demands.
Hill shrugged at this. "I want a paid long vacation."
"No problem for any of that." Tony readily agreed.
He clapped his hands. "After we go back, we'll hold a grand party and properly relax.
"As for now, let's finish."
"I want to add another set of servers, my own servers," Ultron suddenly spoke up, interrupting Tony's grand plans.
Tony's voice faltered and he was a bit curious. "Ultron, after staying in this damn place for so long, do you also feel anxious and depressed?"
"A little."
Ultron replied, "Strictly speaking, it's claustrophobia. Not being able to connect to the main host and the internet makes me very uneasy."
Hearing this, Tony's expression became serious and he nodded in agreement. "Alright, when we get back, I'll set up another set of servers for you. However, Ultron. I need to conduct a psychological test on you. I hope you can understand."
"Mm." Ultron responded softly.
After that, Tony and the other four, along with Ultron, restarted the data collection work.
Although Lucas's sudden departure delayed them for some time, this unexpected situation actually added some color to their otherwise monotonous data collection life. After this conversation, their enthusiasm for work was rekindled.
From then on, some creatures would occasionally come to harass them.
Lucas's method of dealing with them was consistent. Those who directly attacked were all killed. For those who liked to play tricks and schemes, he left them for Tony and the others to have some fun, and he would also watch the show.
