"Why does your father always like to steal other people's things?"
Thor was getting into his story when Darcy suddenly interrupted, making Thor pause in surprise.
Yeah, thinking about it that way, it actually makes sense. Most of the treasures in Odin's vault were looted by Odin, the Father God, during his conquest of the Nine Realms.
"It's because I experienced the cruelty of war back then that Mr. Odin now hopes you can interact with the Nine Realms in a more peaceful way," said Jane.
"It's getting late, let's head back."
Feeling they had extracted most of the necessary information, Coulson and Hawkeye stood up, glancing at the sky.
"Mr. Goku, thank you for your hospitality. If you need any help, please contact us anytime."
He handed a communicator to Goku.
The communicator had only one button; pressing it would directly call him.
Giving Goku the communicator was partly so they could intervene promptly if he encountered trouble.
Given Goku's destructive power, comparable to a nuclear bomb, they didn't want anyone to provoke him and cause widespread disaster.
On the other hand, the communicator contained a highly concealed tracking device; they needed to constantly monitor Goku's location.
S.H.I.E.L.D. couldn't possibly be completely indifferent to a dangerous individual like Goku.
Even in these extraordinary times, basic procedures still needed to be followed.
S.H.I.E.L.D.'s mission was to contain threats within their control and protect Earth's safety.
After Coulson and Hawkeye left, Selvig and Darcy went back inside to sleep, while Jane and Thor continued their conversation in the yard.
Goku, however, disappeared, entering the white space.
"Director, that's how it is."
On the way back to base, Coulson contacted Director Nick Fury and reported all the intelligence he had gathered.
Nick Fury was quite surprised upon hearing this, but he calmly replied:
"Coulson, you did a good job. Stay there and report to me immediately if anything happens.
Then have Hawkeye return to headquarters now; I have a new assignment for him!"
"Director, is there a problem at headquarters?"
Coulson's expression turned serious upon hearing this.
Knowing his director as he did, for something this important, the director wouldn't be sitting still; he would definitely rush over to handle it personally.
But now, not only had he not come, but Hawkeye had also been transferred back.
This could only mean that there was something more important over there.
"There are some problems, I'll handle them. You keep an eye on Son Goku and that Thor.
Once things are settled here, I'll go there personally."
Nick Fury finished speaking and hung up the communication.
Just then, Hawkeye beside him reminded him:
"We can't track Goku's location anymore."
"What?"
Coulson frowned, picked up the instrument beside him, and checked it.
Sure enough, the red dot that had been in the town's location had disappeared.
"Did he find it, or did he go far away again?"
The communicator's model couldn't be tracked; either Goku destroyed it, or it had moved out of the monitoring range.
Normally, the second possibility was unlikely, but Goku could teleport, so it seemed quite normal.
"Let's leave it at that for now."
Coulson put down the instrument, not paying too much attention.
Tracking Goku's location was best done if possible, but if not, there was nothing that could be done.
All monitoring was conducted without angering Goku.
The next day, Goku woke up in the white space, pushed open the door, and appeared in the yard where they had barbecued the night before.
He saw Thor sitting in the courtyard, his eyes bloodshot, engrossed in a book, seemingly having been up all night.
He didn't disturb Thor's reading, and was about to Apparate to the sea to catch some seafood for breakfast.
Suddenly, the communicator in his pocket rang.
He pressed a button, and Coulson's voice came through:
"Mr. Goku, we just detected an unusual celestial phenomenon fifteen miles northwest of the base.
We rushed here and found a peculiar map.
According to what Thor said yesterday, it seems someone from Asgard has used the Rainbow Bridge to cross over. You must be careful."
Coulson worried that Loki might have somehow secured his throne and was now sending assassins to kill Thor to eliminate any future threat.
Upon hearing the communicator, Thor immediately put down his book and stood up.
"I have to go check it out!"
He rushed out of the courtyard and arrived at the gate, just in time to see...
Sif, the goddess of war, and the Warriors Three were looking around the street, searching for something.
"Thor!"
When the four saw Thor standing in the doorway, they immediately rushed over excitedly.
Outside.
At this moment, Goku and Jane also arrived at the house.
When Jane and the others saw Sif, the goddess of war, clad in golden Asgardian armor, and the Warriors Three, they were all stunned for a moment.
Despite talking so much yesterday, they weren't entirely convinced.
After all, it was all Thor telling stories; they hadn't seen any concrete evidence.
But now, they had no choice but to believe.
"Let me introduce you to my best friends, Miss Sif and the Warriors Three."
Sheele hugged the four and then introduced them to each other.
"These are my friends I met in Midgard: the wizard Goku and the kind-hearted Bian, Selvig, and Darcy."
After a brief greeting, Thor nervously asked Sif,
"Tell me, is Father really dead?"
"Huh?"
Sif paused, a look of doubt on her face.
"How could that be? His Majesty has only fallen into Odin's Slumber. He'll awaken in a few days."
"Loki, that bastard, really lied to me!"
Thor breathed a sigh of relief, then his face filled with anger.
"Thor, we've come to take you back..."
Fandar, one of the Warriors Three, immediately recounted what had happened during Thor's banishment to Midgard.
It turned out that after Odin fell into his slumber, Loki suddenly took Odin's spear, the Spear of Eternity, and claimed that Odin had chosen him as the new King of Asgard.
And Loki's first act upon ascending the throne was to announce Thor's eternal banishment.
The four of them simply didn't believe that Odin would pass the throne to... Loki suspected it was a conspiracy.
So he decided to secretly travel to Asgard to bring Thor back.
"Boom!"
Just as Fandral finished explaining, a very obvious celestial anomaly occurred to the northwest of the town.
A sound of explosion followed immediately.
"Mr. Goku, a huge, highly aggressive robot has been teleported from Asgard and is heading your way!"
At that moment, Coulson's voice rang out again from the communicator in Goku's pocket.
"Damn it, Loki has used the Destroyer!"
Thor's expression changed.
