"The gravity inside this room is set to three times the normal level." ...because he sensed that the Ki of Krillin, Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, and Chiaotzu were all inside that gravity training room.
Therefore...
Goku stepped inside as well.
The moment he entered, he noticed that the gravity within the room was different from that outside.
At the same time, he spotted Krillin and his two companions training strenuously under three times the normal gravity.
However, for someone like him—who had already adapted to ten times the gravity—three times the gravity had virtually no effect anymore.
"Yo! Good morning, everyone!"
Goku raised his hand and waved a greeting to the group.
"Goku!"
Upon seeing Goku appear, the four sweat-drenched trainees immediately broke into expressions of delighted surprise; they stood up and switched off the gravity within the room.
As it turned out, after learning that Goku had achieved remarkable results by training with gravity magic, Krillin and the others had grown quite envious.
And so, our genius young scientist, Bulma—seeing how envious her boyfriend, Yamcha, was—simply gave a wave of her hand. In less than a week, she successfully designed and developed this first-generation Gravity Chamber.
It could generate up to eight times the normal gravity, and a second-generation model was already in development.
The main reason for this was that, after a month of training, they had only just barely managed to adapt to three times the gravity. Since they didn't require anything higher just yet, Bulma had focused the majority of her energy on developing a spaceship.
Nevertheless, the training effects of the Gravity Chamber were indeed remarkable; Krillin and the others could clearly feel that their own combat power had seen a significant boost.
"Rat-a-tat-a-tat!"
"You brat! If you dare look down on me with that condescending stare one more time, I swear I'll beat you to death!
And you, you dirty old geezer! Stop groping my butt!"
Krillin was just about to ask Goku about his training experiences in the Celestial Realm when he heard the familiar sound of a submachine gun firing from outside—a sound that left him feeling somewhat helpless.
Goku leaned out the window to take a look and saw Launch—in her blonde, aggressive persona—clutching a submachine gun and wildly spraying bullets at Master Roshi and a small green figure.
Under the barrage of submachine-gun fire, the old man and the little one were sent scrambling for cover, clutching their heads in panic.
That green figure was none other than the young Piccolo—the being originally spawned by the Great Demon King Piccolo.
In just a single month, he had grown to the physical size of a six-month-old human infant; moreover, he could run, jump, speak, and even utilize Ki in a rudimentary fashion. Since young Piccolo possesses all of King Piccolo's memories, he rarely shows a pleasant face to Master Roshi and the others who raised him.
He constantly looks down on everyone with an air of haughty superiority.
While the others generally don't bother getting into squabbles with a mere "little brat" like Piccolo, Launch—specifically in her short-tempered, blonde-haired persona—certainly isn't about to indulge him.
Consequently, young Piccolo often finds himself getting swept out of the house at machine-gun point, right alongside Master Roshi.
However—much like Master Roshi's lechery—Piccolo's tendency to view humans as mere ants is simply in his nature; it is a trait that is utterly impossible to change.
"Goku, what is the Guardian like? Was your training up at the Lookout strict?"
Upon returning to Kame House from the Gravity Chamber, everyone immediately swarmed around Goku, eager to ask him about the training he had undergone under the Guardian's tutelage.
Goku didn't hold anything back; he simply gave them a brief rundown of his experiences.
As for young Piccolo, the very moment he laid eyes on Goku, he immediately fired off a Demon Light Beam—a technique now powerful enough to shatter even his own baby bottle.
Upon realizing that his attack couldn't even singe a single hair on Goku's head, he huffily stormed out of Kame House to practice his "two-handed ground-pounding" technique outside.
In young Piccolo's eyes, there was only one true target for avenging his father, King Piccolo: Goku—the very person who had cornered his father and driven him to his demise.
As for Master Roshi and the other "foolish humans," they were unworthy of being targets for his vengeance.
Once he eventually conquered the world, they would simply serve as his personal servants—much as they were doing right now.
"My training in the celestial realm is finished now, so I plan to travel to other worlds to continue my training journey. Do you guys want to set off right now, or would you rather wait until I get back next time?"
"We're going! We're going right now!"
Still reeling from the shocking revelation that King Piccolo and the Guardian were actually two halves of the same being—and having just heard about the rigorous training Goku had undergone—
How could Krillin and the others possibly bring themselves to stay put and continue training at Kame House?
Besides, the Gravity Chamber could be condensed into a Capsule for easy transport; no matter which world they traveled to for training, they could simply pop it out and use it.
There was absolutely no need to be confined to Kame House. Although the Goku had now demonstrated a level of strength far surpassing their own, their spirits as martial artists had not yet cooled.
They still wished to strive harder—to compete for the championship title at the World Martial Arts Tournament three years hence.
If they were to remain training solely at the Kame House, they would never be able to catch up to the Goku.
"Then let's set off!"
After some packing and farewells, the Goku placed Krillin and his three companions into a box, transported them into the White Space, and then entered the world of Fairy Tail.
Since he had previously found the time to return to the Fairy Tail world from the Lookout and had spoken with Guild Master Makarov regarding Krillin and the others,
the entire process proceeded quite smoothly.
No sooner had Krillin and his three companions joined Fairy Tail than they set out with Natsu and the others for the Dragon Guild of the Magic Array on the continent of Guiltina to accept a "100-Year Quest."
The quest, it was said, involved battling against a powerful dragon.
The Goku, however, had little interest in this; after all, he had already slain the mightiest dragon of them all—the Black Dragon.
Returning to the White Space, he began to select the next world he would visit.
Of course, while he called it "selecting," in reality, he was simply picking one at random, following no particular order.
He had no idea what those unknown worlds were actually like, so he had no basis upon which to make a specific choice.
"Spirit Cage—you're the one!"
The Goku pushed open the portal inscribed with the characters "Spirit Cage" and stepped inside.
The scenery before his eyes shifted, and he found himself standing in a strange, unfamiliar alleyway.
Dust.
Stepping out of the alley, his gaze fell upon a desolate wasteland.
Houses—mere crumbling ruins—lay half-buried in the yellow earth; rusted, wrecked automobiles sat abandoned in the streets, looking as if they had remained there for ages.
Save for the howling of the fierce wind, there was not a sound to be heard anywhere—nor a single living creature to be seen, humans included.
"What a strange world."
The Goku then activated his Flying Technique to ascend into the sky; gazing out into the distance, he observed that the surrounding landscape remained much the same.
"I'd better find someone to ask for information first."
He closed his eyes and, centering his focus on himself, began to sense for the presence of Ki in all directions.
What should one do first upon entering a new world?
Naturally, the answer is to find someone and ask if there are any renowned experts in the vicinity.
However, there wasn't a single soul around at the moment; therefore, his only option was to locate some people first.
"Found them!"
Moments later, Goku opened his eyes.
Given his current mastery over Ki—amplified further by his Ki Breathing technique—sensing the presence of energy across more than half the Earth was no trouble at all.
Thus, as long as there were still people left on this planet, he was bound to sense them.
"Instant Transmission!"
Locking onto the Ki signatures of the humans he had detected, Goku instantly vanished from his spot.
When he reappeared, he was hovering in the air above the ruins of what looked like a crashed spaceship.
Looking down, he could see that tucked away within the wreckage were several specially constructed armored vehicles.
Standing near these vehicles were squads of uniformed, fully armed soldiers.
They scanned their surroundings with extreme vigilance, their expressions grim and tinged with a palpable sense of tension.
Aside from the soldiers, there were also a number of civilians dressed in ordinary clothes and carrying no weapons; they were busily and efficiently loading large, specially designed crates into the central transport vehicle.
"Team Two has reached the Sector B entrance. Jeff calling Captain Mark—do you copy? Over. Oh, damn this weather..."
Standing atop one of the armored vehicles—a lean, middle-aged man with a center-parted hairstyle—was grumbling to himself as he fiddled with his communicator, the signal of which was being heavily disrupted.
Just then, he suddenly felt a tug at his pant leg, followed by the sound of a young boy's voice right next to his ear:
"Excuse me, mister. Could you tell me who the strongest fighter in this area is?"
