"What, this really is a space-time ninja tool!"
In the Hokage Building, in the Hokage's office, Tsunade, upon hearing Asuma and Shikamaru's report and looking at the two books on the table, jumped to her feet.
If Danzo were in front of her now, and said that Goku was a spy for Akatsuki and other villages, with some ulterior motive,
she would definitely use her superhuman strength to cripple his other arm as well.
What kind of spy comes to your door and delivers a legendary space-time ninja tool?
What's the difference between this and during wartime, when a spy infiltrates another country and delivers a bunch of nuclear weapons to gain trust?
"But he's so generous, what should I give him in return...?"
After the initial surprise, Tsunade was caught in a dilemma.
Goku had saved Asuma and the others, helped defeat Kakuzu and Hidan, and obtained information about Akatsuki, so she was struggling to find a thank-you gift.
Giving money was problematic; Konoha's finances weren't great, and it would seem insincere, even insulting.
Hearing that Goku valued training highly, she thought long and hard and decided to give him more ninjutsu.
Besides Konoha's secret ninjutsu, Konoha also possessed a large collection of common ninjutsu and secret ninjutsu from other villages.
Konoha's secret ninjutsu was definitely out of the question; if it got out, it would be easy for them to target her later.
Even if she trusted Goku, Konoha's two advisors and Danzo would absolutely disagree.
But the common ninjutsu and secret ninjutsu from other villages were fine. If Goku likes it, he can pick ten or eight techniques.
However, right now, the space-time ninja tools are too heavy, and there aren't enough general-purpose ninjutsu and secret ninjutsu from other villages.
The secret ninjutsu from other villages aren't the top-tier ones; the top-tier secret ninjutsu are strictly guarded by each village.
Even Konoha doesn't have them.
"Lady Tsunade, I have a suggestion?"
At this moment, Shikamaru clearly saw Tsunade's dilemma and stepped forward.
Tsunade, seeing this immediately exclaimed happily, "Tell me! Tell me!"
She knew Shikamaru's IQ, over 200, was quick-witted, and given that he had spent the most time with Goku, he should be able to offer good advice.
"My suggestion is to invite Goku to join Konoha!"
Shikamaru slowly revealed the idea he had had before leaving home that morning.
Tsunade's eyes lit up immediately upon hearing this.
"Yes, if we could invite him to join Konoha..."
Once Goku joins Konoha, he will be a Konoha ninja, and naturally he was qualified to learn Konoha's secret ninjutsu.
Then she would have no more reservations.
Moreover, Goku's strength was sufficient; joining Konoha would give the village another powerful ally.
As for whether the two advisors and Danzo would agree?
Firstly, as Hokage, she still had that authority.
As long as she was firm enough, even if the two advisors and Danzo disagreed, they couldn't do anything to her.
Furthermore, she felt that the two advisors couldn't refuse the war potential that space-time ninja tools would bring to the village. It's not a big deal.
Also, Goku is quite young, not an adult ninja yet, so people will be much more accepting of him.
Konoha has a history of taking in war orphans who later became ninjas.
"But, do you think he'll agree?"
She can handle things with the village, but if Goku doesn't agree, she can't force him to join, can she?
Shikamaru, seeing Tsunade agree, thought for a moment and smiled:
"I think it shouldn't be a big problem. I'll handle the communication."
From the first time he met Goku until now, he had actually been observing and analyzing him.
Why did he invite Goku to live in his home, and not the Asuma, Choji, or Ino families?
It was because he wanted to spend more time interacting with Goku.
Through a day and a night of observation and analysis, he had gained a general understanding of Goku's personality.
That's enough.
To persuade Goku to join Konoha, he needed to focus on one point: that is, improving his strength!
Goku was a typical martial arts fanatic, constantly striving to improve his strength, wandering around, yearning to fight strong opponents and break through his limits.
Konoha, as the leader of the Five Great Ninja Villages, had once single-handedly suppressed all the other ninja villages and distributed the Tailed Beasts.
Was there anywhere in this world better than Konoha to improve one's strength?
Which village had more secret ninjutsu than Konoha, or stronger ninjutsu?
Konoha also had many strong ninjas, although many had defected.
However, there are still quite a few.
If the strong in Konoha aren't enough to challenge, then Konoha's enemies can be challenged as well.
Those who can become Konoha's enemies are all top-tier experts and forces in the ninja world, like the Akatsuki and the Four Great Ninja Villages.
Therefore, if Goku joins Konoha, he won't lack opportunities to fight against powerful opponents.
Indeed, this was the case. When Shikamaru came out of the Hokage's office, he found Goku waiting outside while eating the snacks prepared by Shizune.
He explained that Tsunade intended to invite Goku to join Konoha, and Goku agreed without hesitation.
Just like when he agreed to be a teacher at Hogwarts, and to join the Fairy Tail guild.
There's good food here, he can improve his strength, and there's the world's strongest expert, the Hokage.
So what's there to hesitate about?
"If I join the village, will I have a chance to spar with the Hokage?"
"Uh...yes, yes, You have a chance." Shikamaru wiped away the cold sweat that had suddenly broken out.
"Let's go, I'll take you to see Lady Tsunade."
Having confirmed that Goku had agreed to join Konoha, Shikamaru led Goku toward the Hokage's office.
However, before they even reached the Hokage's office, they were stopped by an old man who "happened" to be passing by.
"This must be Mr. Goku, the one who saved Asuma! Truly, a young hero emerges!"
Danzo, leaning on his cane, looked at Goku with a forced smile.
Last night, he went back and mobilized all of Root's intelligence personnel, but so far, he hadn't found a single piece of information about Goku.
Goku seemed to have appeared out of thin air.
So, knowing that Tsunade was going to meet Goku today, he came ahead to see if he could find any clues.
"Hello, grandpa, how come you have so many eyes on your arm? Is it some kind of powerful ninjutsu?"
Goku sized up Danzo, then shifted his gaze to Danzo's right hand, which was wrapped in bandages.
In his normal, transparent world, he could even see a beating heart through a body.
So he immediately noticed the eyes on Danzo's right hand, each carrying a special spiritual energy.
Having just heard Shikamaru say that Konoha possessed the most secret ninjutsu in the world, he assumed that Danzo's situation—eyes on his arm—was also a secret technique.
"I don't know what nonsense you're talking about. I have something to do, I'll be going now."
Hearing Goku's words, Danzo's remaining left eye's pupil contracted. He forced himself to calm down, then turned and left.
