I walk through the dimlit alley completly exhausted,bloody,battered and barely manage to reach till the end before collapsing
Somehow I manage to crawl to a wall and sit against it gaining a little support,then I take out the medicinal syringe case from my torn jacket and open it ,looking at the syringe with unfocused eyes ,I let out a bitter sigh "..This will barely heal my injuries yet it cost me half of my savings..yet those higher league explorers can get hundreds of these with just a command to the bureau....how Insignificant must I look in the eyes of them"
My name is Julius ,to give you a understanding of my situation,I will tell you the workings of these world....
More then a century ago ,people discovered specific areas on earth which had spatial distortions and these areas were termed as rifts which led to different dimensions by noclipping through them known as backrooms,and the more one explored it ,they recieved different types of abilities based on the places they explored and how much they progressed,even though most people could go to explore it because most gained the basic ability to no-clip when in these areas without any special requirement,the death rate was exceptionally high ,so ,many people chose not to ,only some people who had confidence and talent decided to risk it.....at that time the world was in turmoil and international relations were very bad...and due to these rifts,it resulted in a World War...the world went in utter chaos and the rifts caused more problems as they started affecting their vicinity and backrooms entities started entering our dimension (The Frontrooms) through noclipping...the world went into unprecedented crisis with war ,entities,rifts and people with abilities using them as they wished....it went on for years as the casualities surpassed millions and reached billions,till the point even nuclear weapons were being used carelessly..until a group of 7 talented explorers came together and reached the peak of exploration at that time ,surpassing it and gaining such abilities that they went beyond the capabilities of the world of that time...they by themselves supressed the war and chaos with their powers....due to having such an influence and people viewing them as heroes who stopped these calamitic wars and supressed the rifts at that time and trusting them... they were able to create the global organisation M.E.G(Mass Explorers group) ,a proper systemized global organisation which oversees many aspects ,mainly related to backrooms
The seven people used their abilities and ended the war and unified the war establishing peace...of course that was only what it looked like as true world peace is only an utopia
The Organisation M.E.G they created held control over the world affairs , even the governments of the different nations had to operate under them and their guidelines which included many rules and guidelines the seven people made to subdue chaos and keep up with changing time for the proper development of humanity
The M.E.G created a proper system for these rifts which I will explain
First , they divided the explorers into different ranks and classes based on their talents, abilities,performances ,and achievements with the general term for them no matter the rank'Explorers'
The explorers also get supplies,privileges and access to different levels(dimensions-every dimension was termed as a level by MEG) and information based on their rank...as for what the hierarchy of M.E.G is...a low ranked explorer like me has no right to know ...heck even the abilities of the higher ranks were not known because they were either mostly used in those levels and even if used in our world ,was deliberately hidden by MEG
The ranks starting from explorer were like this:
Rank 1:No-clippers(people who had the basic skill to no-clip in these rifts)
Rank-2:Vectors(people who have explored and can no-clip wherever they want in real world regardless of their is a rift or not)
Due to being a low ranked starting from here I don't know much of their special quality except for their names
Rank-3:Distortions
Rank-4:Revenant
Rank-5:Eternals
Even though I have heard that their are a total of 9 ranks ...I am not even qualified to know the name of the later four...why am I unqualified for so many things you ask
*Sigh*...I am only an insignificant character ..despite being a No-clipper for 2 years and exploring I wasn't able to become a vector while many became after few months at average..
As for the classes ..they are your usual they are related to what the abilities are oriented too...Combatant,Healer,Support,(Heavy defense) while few being versatile in more then one category
Anyways, coming back to modern day,M.E.G administrates rifts and stuff while ensuring laws and stuff..and as you can guess...the people at the top of the world are high level explorers...well even after all the chaos they brough,these backrooms brought many things that benifitted humanity..helping in innovation and advancements in many aspects causing revolutions in all fields
The healing syringe I just injected myself with was one of the basic weekly things given to vectors...yet me..a No-clipper had to spent about half of my savings ...this syringe is one of the things gained from the knowledge of the exploration..it can be used as an insta heal medikit which can heal all small and medium wounds,and reduce the large wounds to small,unless its an extremely fatal wound,a person can be saved if used in time...such precious thing...of course I wouldn't want to use it without reason..but I just barely got out of a rift and barely managed to survive with many large wounds on me...If I don't use it ..I will be no better then dead..
A person can't normally just enter and exit the backrooms as they wish...but no-clippers can only access those areas already explored and completly safe areas under complete control of M.E.G which are led in a team too thus being able to leave after the requiremnets of the explorations are met.....yet I got this hurt ..you can just understand my capabilities
Sighing deeply I inject the syringe in myself ,wait a few minutes until most of my wounds are gone and start walking to my run down apartment
Entering my apartment I collapse on the bed without even changing clothes...the apartment is only a one room with one adjacent kitchen area while having a common toilet for all the tenants of the floor...
My state wasn't this always...about 5 years ago..I was living happily...I had a family too...until everything fell apart... I will tell you in detail
Those 7 people who established M.E.G comprised of 4 males and 3 females were called :

After ensuring their work Alaric married Aurelia ,Caius married Lyra and Zephyrion married Augusta creating three clans which can be considered the three great MEG factions which are its foundation pillars
As for Thaliya..after MEG was formed ,it was not known what he did or what happened ,just that he announced to the world that he would rest now and disappeared even their partners weren't able to find him,thus,after founding MEG and establishing their clans ,they let their children lead it and left into backrooms as well ,as for what happened to them ,can only be found in MEG archives which can be accessed by the council of 7,a council of 7 people which take on the role of the 7 heroes in each generation
And me?I am actually a descendant Zephryion and Augusta...infact the direct descendant of the current leader's faction..heh..even though I have not been arrogant or prideful in my life their was once a time I was indeed a little prideful of it...but not anymore..I am not naive anymore
I wasnt the only descendant ...their were many alongside me...I had an elder brother...when I was a kid...he didn't wanted me to get stuck in this mess..so he sent me to one of the vassals of the clan which was not associated with rifts but instead comprised of people who worked on the advancements and innovations brought by the rifts....I was about 3-4 years old then so I didn't ask him anything but thinking back ...he was probably a rank and knew many things ultimately becoming the most prominent of the council of 7 and became a renowned hero and led the clan as it's leader for some time...he had sent me away so I wasn't known as a descendant to the world ,infact...I don't actually remember what happened...but my brother made it such that my name was hidden in the descendent records and such because he wanted me to be away from this...If I wanted to involve myself in backrooms , I could have focused on the advancements field...but reality can be cruel ...he later left in the backrooms after saying goodbye to me one last time backthen and never came back.....I don't even quite remember what he said to me because I was too Little...the memory is very vague no matter how much I try to remember it....
Later..I did as he wanted me to be ...I didn't reveal my identity and kept it hidden....when I was 17 I worked on the advancements field and starting making progress and got admissioned in Global Elite Acadmey...an academy run by MEG to nurture people in various fields..but...one of the young master from one of the main subordinate clans of Alaric and Aurelia clan named Jade didn't like me...he framed me..not in one but many things...making life hell...whats worse...he found out about my identity as a descendant... but he made use of it..even though my brother sent me away and tried to rip my connections ....my parents remembered ... apparently what i remember from some records that my brother left for me is that due to not showing talents comparable to my other siblings for explorations and in the related field my parents were neglectful and a bit abusive on me...that was also one of the reasons my elder brother sent me away and tried to erase from my records ,but even then ,my parents did remember me,after my elder brother became the leader for the time our family held considerable power ,even after my brother left in the backrooms ,they had their influence...it seems like my brother did somethings to make them realise their mistake in their behaviour and hoped that I would reconcile one day,thus,they became regretful and tried to track me down by using their influence and as for how that asshole used my identity?
Maybe because my brother didn't think that our parents would become a mistake in recognizing me ,he didn't left any arrangements for that..but they guy used his connections and stuff and somehow managed to convinced the people around them that he was actually the descendant...and being blinded by the hope of reconciling with their long lost son..they didn't even verify it deeply,accepting him by the brief proofs he showed ..he framed me accused me ,and stole my place in the family...later using the influence and connections gotten from joining my family he showed himself as the best student in the elite school ..suprresing anyone who him sought and gained the favour of the staff,teachers and student...even the family whom I was staying with ,the vassal clan,stopped trusting me as I became a bad person in their view due to the accusations.....even if I tried ..how could I even fight back against those conncetions....even my childhood friend..which was my girlfriend..and other friends,family I had didn't trust me and broke conncetions with me..later due to my bad reputation I was even kicked out of the elite school...I left..while having nothing..because if I stayed..jade might still not let me go...but I didn't give up. After leaving to a different place...I used my intellectual capabilities..attained basic knowledge needed and became an explorer..but I didn't have talent..even then I somehow survived....got a these rundown apartment and basic things to survive and grow..but how much can just a lone person attain without talent and support of not a single person while everyone suppresses you...even after leaving I had still not completly escaped jade's influence...he had made it such that when I explored with others..I was deliberately suppressed so that I couldn't advanced..
Truly what an insignificant character I am...even after I was kind my whole life..supported others as much as I could..
When I required others to support me..no one did..turned their backs on me and betrayed me...just because they trusted a person whom they barely knew over me..these people included my friends I had..heck I can't even call them friends...the family I was living with...
*Sigh*no use reminiscing..a person like me has to do what he can to survive..
I look at my phone and register for the upcoming low ranked exploration I could participate in and fall asleep
