Caleb stepped sideways, blocking the path completely. His hand shot out and snatched the book from Damian's grip before he could react. Then he flipped it open, eyes narrowing at the cover, then the handwriting inside.
"This isn't yours," he said flatly. "Wrong subject. Wrong name on the inside cover. So what are you really here for, Grant?"
Damian's pulse thundered in his ears, he'd been caught, but that didn't mean he owed Caleb any explanations. He had nothing to say to the boy, and he planned on saying nothing. "Get out of my way."
