Chapter 36 - Epilogue: Ashes and Thrones

The estate was quiet now, but quiet was no longer empty it was alive with a different pulse. Smoke had cleared, fires were extinguished, and the morning sun cast soft light over the ruins, illuminating what had been won… and what had been lost.

Bella walked along the scorched marble steps, boots crunching lightly over ash and debris. She didn't flinch at the sight of broken walls or shattered glass. Each scar told a story of survival, of fire and blood, of power taken and power reclaimed. She stopped at the center of the yard, letting her gaze sweep over the estate she had defended, the empire she had claimed.

Crystal emerged from the shadows first, his dark eyes scanning her like a predator marking his territory. He stepped closer, the faintest smirk playing on his lips, and brushed a strand of soot-dark hair from her face. "You shouldn't have done all that alone," he murmured, voice low, almost a growl, but softened with something only she saw possessiveness, admiration, and desire.

Bella smiled, sharp and controlled. "I didn't need to be protected," she said. "But I didn't mind having witnesses."

From the other side, Christian approached, steady and unwavering, the strength in his presence a contrast to Crystal's raw intensity. His hand brushed the small of her back, grounding her without restraining her. His voice was low, but carried weight: "One wrong move and—"

"I survived," she interrupted, letting a soft, wicked grin curl her lips. "And so did you."

The brothers shared a look that was almost a conversation unspoken words about loyalty, desire, and the unbreakable bond they now shared with her. Bella felt the pull of both, the dangerous tension she had cultivated through fire and chaos. She didn't have to choose yet. She didn't have to hide.

Anthony, chained but ever-watchful, leaned against the rail above, silent approval in his dark eyes. "You've grown, little queen," he said softly. "Stronger than any of us anticipated."

Bella's chest swelled, not with fear, but with pride. "Stronger than anyone expects," she replied. "Including myself."

Crystal moved closer, brushing his lips along her temple in a fleeting, dangerous promise. Christian's hand lingered on hers, their fingers intertwined in a deliberate, electric hold. Bella's heart raced, not from fear, but from the heat of power, passion, and choice. She was the eye of the storm, and these two men the brothers, her protectors, her equals were the fire that encircled her.

She let herself close her eyes for a moment, breathing in the scent of ash and metal, of sweat and desire. The estate had survived. The Abaddons had survived. And she Bella had survived everything.

When she opened her eyes, the morning sun glinted off the ruins and her reflection in the shattered windows. A queen in the empire she had claimed, untamed and unstoppable.

Crystal's low growl broke the silence. "Don't think I'm letting you go."

Christian's voice, steady and dark, followed. "Neither am I."

Bella's lips curved into a sly, commanding smile. "Then stay," she said, voice soft but fierce. "Or get out of my way. But know this I will not be anyone's pawn. I will not be anyone's prize. I am fire. And I answer to no one."

The brothers exchanged a glance, each understanding the truth in her words. Then, without hesitation, they fell in line beside her Crystal to her left, Christian to her right the triangle complete.

The estate, the empire, the family… they were hers, and they were theirs. Together.

And for the first time in her life, Bella felt fully, completely alive.

Because fire had burned everything down, and from the ashes, she had built herself an empire, a family, and a love that was as dark, dangerous, and unstoppable as she was.

The war was over. The choices had been made. And Bella… Bella was in command.
