"Knock, knock, knock—"
Hearing the somewhat familiar knocking, Newt put down his coffee and quickly walked towards the door.
He couldn't help but anticipate if it was Lucien again, the junior sending a letter, delivered by that magical messenger.
In fact, Newt had regretted it a little after the magical creature, who called himself Lumina, left last time.
It was the first time he had seen a magical creature of that appearance, a completely unknown magical creature he had never seen before.
As a result, because the other party's communication method was too human-like, Newt didn't have a good chat with Lumina at first, nor did he observe Lumina's characteristics.
Instead, his wife, Tina, chatted a lot with Lumina.
This left Newt feeling a sense of loss, and he spent the next few days with an unbearable itch in his heart.
He opened the door.
What met Newt's eyes was the mysteriously appearing Lumina. Unlike the previous night, the morning sun made Lumina glow with a beautiful golden light.
A clear look of surprise immediately appeared in Newt's eyes.
"Good morning, Mr. Newt."
"Oh, oh, good morning, Lumina, you, you come in first."
Lumina skillfully followed Newt into the house.
"Is it a letter from Lucien?"
Lumina nodded, letting a propitious cloud hold up a small satchel and deliver it to Newt.
"Mr. Newt, everything my master asked me to deliver is in the bag."
Things?
It seemed it wasn't just a letter. Newt picked up the satchel and immediately noticed that an Undetectable Extension Charm was inscribed on it.
Newt drew his wand and manipulated the items in the satchel to fly out one by one.
First to appear was a small cedar wood bottle, which Newt instinctively caught.
Next was an envelope, which automatically fell into Newt's hand.
But it wasn't over yet; sheets of paper covered in writing flew out of the bag's opening.
Newt let them fly onto the desk. These papers first piled up to more than ten centimeters, and Newt felt something was wrong, not immediately understanding what that junior had sent him.
But the papers, falling like snowflakes, still didn't stop, as if continuously flying out of the small bag.
Until nothing else flew out of the satchel, Newt looked at the pile of papers that almost touched the ceiling.
Although they were placed on the table, wasn't this quantity a bit exaggerated?
Newt glanced at the small wooden bottle and the envelope in his hand, still choosing to read the letter first, placing the bottle on the side of the desk.
"Uh, Lumina, you find a place to sit first, I'll just read…"
Before he finished speaking, Newt realized that he had subconsciously treated the other party as a person. Where could such a large magical creature sit?
"Okay, thank you."
The next second, Newt saw Lumina shrink in size, down to the size of a house cat, and then jump onto a pale yellow cloud of mist, leaning back gracefully.
This scene made Newt momentarily forget to read the letter.
"Changing size, similar to an Occamy's ability?"
"A cloud of mist that can hold physical objects, can it be used for flying? As a messenger, it should be able to fly, right?"
"Yes, I can fly."
Lumina's ethereal voice echoed directly in Newt's mind, which made him a little embarrassed.
It was like someone's soliloquy was suddenly answered.
Newt didn't speak, but Lumina still remembered its master's instructions to have a proper chat with Mr. Newt.
"Mr. Newt, I can indeed change my shape, but is an Occamy a magical creature? My master hasn't taught me about those yet."
"Uh, yes, that's a magical creature that can change its body size according to the size of the space. Lucien will teach you this knowledge?"
"Yes, he just started teaching me these a few days ago, saying it's convenient for me to recognize them later."
Newt had no answer to that. A human Wizard teaching a magical creature to recognize other magical creatures?
Newt habitually avoided the topic and began to read the letter in his hand.
Seeing that Lucien had said he had already created an Undetectable Extension Charm container that could accommodate living creatures, Newt nodded with satisfaction.
He hadn't expected this junior to progress so quickly. It seemed his talents in charms and alchemy were both excellent, and his related knowledge was very solid.
As for the elements needed for cultivating plants?
Newt knew how to solve it, and it didn't involve knowledge of family heritage, so he could definitely tell the other party.
He was just curious if this junior was also from Hufflepuff.
To want to plant crops in an Undetectable Extension Charm container, this should be a little badger.
Newt had forgotten to ask in his last reply and still didn't know which house Lucien was from.
Continuing to read, Newt saw that Lucien had said he had sent some materials, which were his usual observations of magical creatures, perhaps not many…
Not many?
Newt looked at the towering pile of papers on the table, his eyes a bit strange.
Looking back at the letter, Newt wondered if there was anything else besides the records of magical creatures, otherwise, why would there be such a huge pile.
But he didn't mention sending any other materials until he finished reading it.
Thinking of the inquiring tone in Lucien's letter, Newt felt he shouldn't disappoint a child's enthusiasm and curiosity for magical creatures.
He summoned the top few sheets of paper, took a sip of coffee, and began to read.
Mooncalf…
Newt's browsing speed was very fast. It wasn't that he was perfunctory, but he was too familiar with these magical creatures, and a glance would tell him if there were any problems.
He then continued to summon papers until he finished reading the records related to Mooncalf.
There were generally no problems. Newt pulled out a blank sheet of letter paper and wrote down a few corrections regarding the Mooncalf's information.
Next, Newt saw the information on the Diricawl.
But this time, reading it, Newt noticed a slight incongruity.
Compared to the previous Mooncalf, this record of the Diricawl seemed more detailed and vivid.
It was as if the recorder had close-up contact with an active Diricawl.
Some details are difficult to spot from a distance.
After quickly reading through these materials, Newt wrote down corrections on the letter paper, but this time there were fewer.
Next was the Flobberworm.
Looking at the very vivid and detailed records, Newt couldn't help but nod,
"Like the Diricawl, they are relatively easy to approach, relatively gentle magical creatures."
"Lucien is probably a Hufflepuff child, with a way of getting close to animals, or perhaps he has a talent for it."
After writing down the corrected knowledge points, Newt summoned new materials.
Newt picked up his coffee, preparing to take a sip, while his gaze flickered to the beginning of the paper.
Acromantula…
"Cough, cough, cough…"
Newt put down his coffee cup and started coughing, choked.
No, what kind of magical creatures did that child usually observe?
Why did it include 5X-rated Acromantulas?
Newt waved his wand, summoning all the information about Acromantulas.
As a result, the towering pile of materials immediately reduced by more than a third.
Newt's eyelids couldn't help but twitch wildly.
Flipping through these papers, Newt's reading speed became slower and slower.
There was no other way; the records about Acromantulas were too detailed!
They covered Acromantulas of almost all age groups, from newly born to juvenile, to developmental, to adult, and even elderly…
Not just age, but even categorized by male and female genders, each having its own group.
"Lucien, where did he find so many Acromantulas?"
Newt couldn't imagine how a student attending Hogwarts could come into contact with such a large number of spider colonies.
Moreover, just contact wasn't enough; Acromantulas are extremely dangerous, and surviving to record all this information was also a problem.
"To observe so many details, how much time would Lucien have to spend, and how much risk would he have to take to…"
