Soon, several Dragon handlers entered the arena.
The Fireball Dragon, as if seeing a loved one, hurriedly ran behind the Dragon handlers, occasionally looking back at Charlie with eyes full of wariness and grievance.
The Dragon handlers couldn't help but exclaim that they hadn't seen such an obedient Dragon in a long time.
One Dragon handler petted the Fireball Dragon's head, and the Fireball Dragon let out a whimper, with tears actually glistening in its Dragon eyes.
The Fireball Dragon was led away by the Dragon handlers.
Harry, Fleur, and Krum returned to the arena.
Bagman also walked down, excitedly raised his wand, and used an Amplifying Charm to announce.
"The first task of the Triwizard Tournament has concluded successfully! Charlie White is in first place with a perfect score of 50! Harry Potter and Fleur Delacour are tied for second with 40 points! Viktor Krum is currently in fourth place with 36 points!"
The entire arena erupted in cheers once again.
"Now, champions, please follow me back to the tent; there are still some interviews to complete."
After Bagman finished speaking, he led the four of them toward the tent.
The students exited in an orderly fashion, but their excitement could not subside; today's competition would be the talk of the students for at least the next month.
Inside the tent, Bagman asked everyone to wait a moment, saying the reporters would arrive soon.
At this moment, Hermione poked her head in from the side of the tent, and seeing that both Charlie and Harry were there, she ran in excitedly and bounced in front of Charlie, saying.
"Charlie, Harry, you were amazing!"
Harry scratched his head from the side.
"Hermione, could you look at me when you say my name?"
Hermione blushed and rolled her eyes at Harry.
Ron also walked in and said to Harry.
"I knew you could do it; that dive was so cool!"
"Thanks." Harry smiled.
Just then, someone lifted the tent flap and entered. Harry was overjoyed to see who it was; it was none other than Sirius Black.
"Sirius!" Harry jogged over.
"Why are you here?"
"To watch your competition, of course."
Sirius ruffled Harry's hair, then looked up at Charlie and said.
"Don't worry, Boss, everything is normal at the Orphanage; Lupin is staying there."
Before the competition, Sirius had asked Charlie for permission to come to the school to watch, wanting to see Harry compete and report some matters along the way.
Charlie had agreed, so he came to watch the competition today, while Lupin took care of the Orphanage.
"You performed very well, Harry," Sirius said, his eyes full of pride.
"Exactly like your father back in the day."
After the two chatted for a moment, Sirius turned to Charlie and said in a lowered voice.
"Boss, I have some news to tell you, but there are too many people here."
Charlie nodded and said.
"Go to Hagrid's Hut and wait for me; I'll come over after the interviews are finished."
"Alright." Sirius ruffled Harry's hair again and then left the tent.
Soon, Rita arrived, and the interview lasted for over half an hour. During this time, she didn't show any signs of abnormality, as if she had never been threatened by Charlie.
Charlie was quite satisfied with this. He answered a few simple questions and then left.
He walked out of the tent, and Harry followed. He hadn't seen Sirius in a long time and missed him.
Hermione and Ron followed behind.
"Charlie, can we go together?" Hermione asked.
"Sure." Charlie nodded.
The group crossed the arena and headed toward the Hut on the edge of the Forbidden Forest.
Smoke was rising from Hagrid's Hut, and Fang was wagging his tail at the door.
Charlie pushed open the door, and Sirius was sitting by the table, holding a cup of tea.
"Boss, Harry, you're here," Sirius said.
"Hagrid went to take care of those Dragons and told us to make ourselves at home."
"What news?" Charlie asked directly.
Sirius put down his teacup, his expression turning serious.
"Karkaroff is a Death Eater."
"Back then, he and I were both locked up in Azkaban," Sirius continued.
"That coward gave up the names of many Death Eaters and claimed he had been controlled by the Imperio curse, which is how he escaped judgment by the Ministry of Magic."
Charlie nodded.
"I know about that."
Sirius raised an eyebrow and continued.
"Then another thing: there is a Witch at the Ministry of Magic named Bertha Jorkins, and she has gone missing in Albania."
Albania.
Charlie's gaze sharpened instantly; that was the very place where Quirrell had been possessed by Lord Voldemort.
"She has likely been murdered," Sirius's voice dropped even lower.
"In a place like Albania, it's hard not to think of Lord Voldemort. So, Lord Voldemort likely learned about the Triwizard Tournament through Jorkins and then ordered his subordinates to use the competition to kill Harry."
Charlie wasn't surprised after hearing this; Harry's name being thrown into the goblet of fire was already good evidence of this.
"Do you suspect Karkaroff?" Charlie asked.
Sirius, however, shook his head.
"With Karkaroff's fence-sitting personality, it's unlikely he would do this before Lord Voldemort regains the advantage. But what is certain is that there must be one, or even several, Death Eaters who have infiltrated Hogwarts this year."
He paused and scanned the people present.
"The suspects aren't just former Death Eaters like Karkaroff; there are also some senior students in Slytherin, and it's even possible that someone has used methods to impersonate a Professor or student."
Ron gasped.
"My god, that's terrifying."
Hermione pondered for a moment and then asked.
"Charlie, don't you have a marauders map? Can you use the map to determine who is a Death Eater?"
Before Charlie could speak, Sirius shook his head first.
"It's difficult. The marauders map displays a huge number of names, most of which we don't actually recognize, so it would be hard to spot if a Death Eater's name were mixed in."
Charlie nodded and said.
"Actually, the day Harry was chosen as a champion, I checked the marauders map, and I didn't notice anything unusual."
Harry looked at Sirius, hesitated for a moment, and then asked.
"Speaking of Lord Voldemort, I had a dream before, I dreamt of Lord Voldemort, and when I woke up, my scar was hurting terribly. What is going on?"
Sirius's expression immediately became serious, and he stared straight at Harry.
"Has it hurt since then?"
"No." Harry shook his head.
"Just that one time."
Sirius frowned and fell into deep thought. After a good while, he said slowly.
"I'm not sure about this either; you'd better go ask Dumbledore. His understanding of the Dark Arts is much deeper than mine."
Harry had actually wanted to ask Dumbledore for a long time, but the pressure of the first task was just too great, and the shadow of the Dragon had been hanging over him, leaving him no time to think about anything else.
Now that the competition was over, this matter resurfaced in his mind.
Charlie listened from the side, also feeling curious about what was going on with Harry's scar; could Lord Voldemort really have been near Harry that day?
