The three judges had not gone past the orchard gate yet, their horses turning back toward the well frame with a slow thudding sound that made my teeth click together.

 

"The rogue does not have a name on the parchment, Silas," I asked the Elder

 

Elder Silas did not get down from his leather saddle, but he lifted his left hand to stop the six neutral warriors from moving their horses into the ditch. "The Council hears every wolf who brings an open grievance to the boundary stone, Urdon," Silas said.

 

"He burned my storage shed last night," I said, pointing at Viktor
