Lucian stayed on the floor and looked up at the ice warrior who was standing in his window. His brain was working very hard to figure things out, but it was failing miserably.
She was a real person. There was an SSS-rank warrior in his room, and she was asking if he was her master.
Glacielle tilted her head a little, but her face stayed completely blank. "Master, it looks like you've fallen..."
"Are you hurt by any chance...?"
Lucian was able to croak out, "I... uh... no, I'm fine!"
He got up quickly, trying to save what little dignity he had left. "I just didn't expect you to fall into my window like that."
"The system instructed me to descend from above," Glacielle stated in a straightforward manner. "This was the best place to land."
She stepped down from the windowsill with ease, and Lucian could see her better. She was probably five foot nine and had an athletic build that made her look like a warrior.
Her short blue-white hair framed her sharp features, and her pale blue eyes watched him with such intensity that he felt like she was keeping track of everything about him.
The bikini armor was just as silly as he had feared and hoped it would be. It was clear that it was made of enchanted ice, as it glowed with magical energy and covered about twenty percent of her body.
But somehow, she wore it with the confidence of a person in full plate armor.
"Okay," Lucian said, trying to sound like he knew what he was doing. "You're Glacielle, aren't you?"
"The Frost Bikini Warrior?"
"Yes... I am an SSS-level combat specialist who is good at ice magic and fighting up close."
"I like to use the twin frost fans as my weapon." She stopped. "You are my master and summoner, Lucian Luxfall."
"Twin frost fans...? You must be joking—Ah! Yes, that's me, alright." Lucian rubbed the back of his neck.
"Hey, I'm new to being a master, so if you have any questions or need anything, just ask."
Glacielle looked at him for a long time, and her face was hard to read. After that, she nodded once.
"Got it... I will do everything possible to help you."
"E-EVERYTHING?!" Lucian was shocked hearing that.
"Yes... everything that I can do..." Glacielle nodded without showing any expression.
There was an awkward silence in the room after that. Lucian didn't know what to say next, and of course he didn't want to go straight to what he was thinking right now.
He had never been alone in a room with a woman who wasn't a family member or a customer from the convenience store. She was nearly naked, imbued with magic, and connected to him through a gacha system.
He was going to have a heart attack any minute now if he kept panicking.
As Lucian prepared to speak, desperate to shatter the awkward silence, a deep growl reverberated through the room.
Lucian stopped moving. "W-What the hell was that?"
Glacielle's face stayed completely blank. "My stomach yearns for good food... I want to eat."
The epic moment broke apart like glass. Lucian blinked at her as he thought about what she had said.
"Are you... hungry...?"
"Yes. The process of summoning takes a lot of energy, and I need food before I fall asleep." She put her hand on her stomach, which growled again.
"I also haven't eaten in hundreds of years."
"A few hundred years?!"
"I was stuck in the summoning realm until you called for me. In that realm, time moves differently." Glacielle's blue eyes were blank as she looked at him. "Do you have any food, Master?"
Lucian looked around the tiny room, and there was nothing. He didn't even know if there were restaurants or convenience stores in this world.
He was so focused on the system and summoning that he forgot about food.
He said, "I don't have anything here, but there should be a forest close by."
"We could hunt something if you still have the energy for it..."
The most emotion he had seen from Glacielle so far was when her eyes lit up a little. "Hunting is okay."
"I am good at hunting and killing animals."
"Good to hear that. Okay then, let's just do that for now." Lucian walked toward the door, but then he stopped. "Hold on, you can't go out in public like that."
"People will look at you with a variety of emotions, probably."
"I am a warrior. My armor works and has magical powers, so it doesn't matter what they think."
Lucian said weakly, "That's not really the point." Then he thought of something.
"Hey, system, can we change her clothes? Like, clothes we can wear when we're in town?"
The system window opened up cheerfully.
[Yes! The Dress-Up feature allows you to provide alternative outfits for your summoned warriors! Bikini armor will automatically re-equip during combat, but casual clothing can be worn in non-combat situations!]
[Current wardrobe available: Basic traveler's clothes (free starter set)]
[Additional outfits can be purchased in the Gacha Shop or found as loot!]
[Note: You can also upgrade bikini armor pieces with materials and gold for enhanced stats and abilities!]
"Perfect," Lucian said. "Can you dress her like a traveler for now?"
[Applying outfit change!]
There was a light around Glacielle, and her armor made of ice disappeared. Instead, she wore a simple but useful outfit that included a white tunic, a brown leather vest, dark pants, and boots.
She frowned a little when she looked down at herself.
"This armor isn't very good at protecting me," she said.
"It's just to walk around town," Lucian said. "Your real armor will come back when we fight, right?"
"Yes," Glacielle said. "The bikini armor is tied to my soul."
"It can't be taken off for good."
"Uhh... thanks for letting me know." Lucian walked to the door. "Come on, let's go look for that forest."
They left the small room and walked through what looked like a small inn. The innkeeper, a heavyset woman with gray hair, looked at them with interest but didn't say anything.
Lucian didn't know how he had gotten to this inn or who was paying for the room, but he decided to put those thoughts aside for now.
Lucian thought the town outside looked just like a fantasy world. There were cobblestone streets, wooden buildings with thatched roofs, and people in clothes from the Middle Ages going about their business.
A few people turned to look at him and Glacielle, but no one seemed very interested. And what if she still wears that bikini armor? Everyone probably would get invested in it.
Glacielle said, "The forest is to the east," and she was already walking that way.
Glacielle starts sniffing. "Sniff... sniff... I can smell animal and fresh water from here... sniff... sniff..."
Lucian rushed to catch up. "You can smell all that from here?"
"It is normal for SSS-rank warriors to have better senses. If the wind is right, I can smell prey from several kilometers away."
"Oh wow... that's actually helpful by a lot."
For a while, they walked in comfortable silence. Lucian took the chance to look around the town and saw the guild hall, what looked like a blacksmith, and a lot of shops. This world seemed to work like a typical fantasy RPG, which was both comforting and a little scary.
It took about fifteen minutes of walking to get to the forest. The tall trees made a canopy above that let in sunlight in dappled patterns on the forest floor.
The air smelled like pine and dirt, and Lucian could hear birds singing far away.
"Stay close, master," Glacielle said. "There are dangerous creatures in this area."
"What kinds of creatures are we talking about here?"
"Big ones."
A rustling noise came from the bushes ahead before Lucian could ask for more information. He tensed up and reached for a weapon he didn't have.
"Oh shit... I forgot I don't have any weapons!"
Three huge shapes came out of the brush. They were boars, but not like any boars Lucian had ever seen before.
These creatures were the size of small cars. Their tusks were as long as his arm, and their red eyes shone with savage intelligence.
[Wild Forest Boars Detected!]
[Level: 15]
[Threat Assessment: Moderate]
[Recommended Strategy: Ranged attacks or high-impact close combat]
"Master, please step back," Glacielle said in a calm voice.
"O-Okay." Lucian takes a step back immediately.
A flash of light caused the traveler's clothes to vanish, and her ice bikini armor immediately replaced them. Frost started to come out of her body, and the temperature dropped a lot.
"What are you going to use as a weapon?" Lucian asked, looking around. "Do you need a sword or something?"
Glacielle put both hands up. Ice formed crystals in the air, which turned into two beautiful folding fans made of magic ice.
The fans were a foot long when closed, and their sharp edges sparkled in the filtered light.
"I don't use swords," she said. "I like to use twin frost fans as weapons."
Lucian's jaw dropped. "Fans?"
"So you weren't joking about it after all?!"
"Yes. This is my signature weapon..."
