2003 - USA
Mother: Parker, how about we play hide-and-seek?
Parker: No, I don't like hide-and-seek.
Mother: Then what do you want to play?
Nold: I'll play with him, Mom.
That day, the weather was calm and the sky was lightly overcast. The family was spending time at their house near the woods. Parker and Nold decided to go into the woods to play as they always did, running among the tall trees and laughing without fear. Leaves fell beneath their feet, and the air was filled with the sounds of birds. But suddenly, without Parker noticing, Nold disappeared completely. Parker looked around, thinking he was hiding behind a tree, and called out to him repeatedly, but no one answered. He rushed back home to tell his family what had happened, his voice trembling with fear. They were immediately worried and called the police, who arrived quickly and began searching the woods for hours, using flashlights and police dogs, but they couldn't find him.
Parker was deeply saddened because he loved his brother dearly, and he felt guilty for not noticing his disappearance. The atmosphere in the house changed afterward, becoming quieter and more somber. The days dragged on, then the months, then the years, until 2005.
Parker: Mum, can I go to that forest where I used to play?
Mum: Stay here. We don't want what happened to your brother to happen again.
Parker: Okay, Mum...
His voice held a mixture of sadness and longing. Every night, Parker would stand at his window and gaze toward the distant forest. He would see a bright green light in the distance, emerging from behind the dense trees, and hear a strange, loud noise, as if people were gathered around the light, whispering. He never told anyone what he saw, but he felt it was connected to what had happened.
2007 -
Parker: We're going to Spain!
Father: Yes, my boy. We'll have a wonderful time there.
The entire family traveled to Spain, trying to start a new life and forget their painful past. They stayed there for a long time, experiencing new places and different cultures, but they still couldn't forget Nold, and his memory was present at every family gathering.
2013 -
Parker: You're going back to America without me!
Mother: I'm sorry, son, but you're an adult now and you can be on your own. We miss America, so we'll travel there for a few days.
Parker: But... okay, Mom.
His family enrolled him in a middle school called Walsher, and he started going every day, meeting new students and trying to focus on his studies. He studied hard and progressed to his junior year, striving to be strong despite everything he had been through.
2015 - Parker, 14 years old
During that time, he made many friends, including Rush, Malita, and others. They would spend their time talking and laughing after school.
He decided to visit a forest in Spain because it reminded him of his brother, and perhaps he would find an explanation for what had happened to him there. He entered the forest for a peaceful walk, contemplating the trees and shadows, when suddenly he felt a blow to his head. He felt a sharp pain before losing consciousness and collapsing to the ground.
