Madam Eliza glanced at her son and sighed.
"Listen… you're the reason why I joined the company," Madam Eliza admitted. "I've retired from modelling for so long and found sitting at home boring. I've always wanted to properly tutor young models. I thought… if you were the one he chose, then maybe you were special."
Linda almost laughed. Will Ezekiel treat someone special?
"You retired model?" Megan asked in surprise.
Madam Eliza gave a faint smile. "Long before you were born."
"I knew it!" Megan sighed and clapped in realisation. "You are someone simple."
Linda suddenly felt something warm in her chest. For the first time today, her expression softened a bit. She couldn't believe her Lizzo side could be tamed.
"So you came to the company because of Linda?" Megan asked with interest.
"I stayed because of her," Madam Eliza corrected gently.
Ezekiel remained silent, watching them carefully. If not for his mom, he would have dismissed everyone already.
