Chapter 1 - Day Two

You killed an ant.

Obviously, we've all done it, but this time was different.

Why, you ask?

Because the next day a red health bar hovered over your head upon looking in the mirror.

Were you hallucinating? Probably. What are the chances it just goes away on its own?

Update: 30 minutes later, and the health bar is still there once you look in the mirror one final time after a shower. It is mildly interesting as well as concerning but at this point it is what it is. With a shrug you exit the bathroom and walk to the kitchen, coffee first and then a nice healthy bowl the cereal with extra sugar. (We aren't living past 30 anyway-)

"Is that another ant?"

Sure enough, there is another ant next to next to where you keep the sugar.. and it has a health bar.

[Telepathically it speaks to you] "I am Sir Ant-drew and I have come to challenge you! In the name of her majesty, her excellently Queen Ant of the Red colony! She has sent me, Sir Ant-drew to put an end to-"

Since the first time clearly wasn't enough, you kill it again, your only regret is you didn't hear whatever speech it had planned.

A soft chime was heard after you killed it.

[Ding!]

[Title Obtained! Enemy of the Red Queen. 23 hours, 59 minutes and 10 seconds until next encounter.]

You stand there for a moment, watching the timer tick down. "..." You say nothing this time but instead you prepare yourself breakfast.

Your day went as well as it normally does, be it boring or otherwise, and when the time comes, you have a simple dinner followed by your nightly hygiene routine.

And once everything was taken care of you returned to your room before climbing into your bed just as sleep welcomed you with open arms once more.
