"Lost your head my ass, it couldn't even get close to you," Klaus said while pushing himself up from the ground, it felt cold now that his clothes were half destroyed.
"Well, nevertheless, it wasn't such a bad try," Zephyr said whilst fixing his robe, which by the way did not have a single scratch on it.
'Familiar summon,' He thought as he tried to use the ability to summon Jen.
"Hm?" Zephyr turned his head as he looked at Klaus's shocked expression.
He was looking down at a red panel in front of him, clearly only visible to him.
[Familiar Jen regeneration in progress.]
'Fuck me, I let her die,' he wanted to punch himself in the face but he couldn't.
"Why aren't you summoning your familiar brat," He asked as he walked through the window in front of Klaus.
"She's regenerating," He explained with a defeated sigh as he fell on his ass to the ground.
"What?" Zephyr took another step forward however his expression looked shocked.
'Huh? Why is he looking at me like that?'
"Familiars are tied to a summoner's energy, it should be able to feed off your energy and summon itself again unless your energy is…low," He looked up at the night sky as he realized the kid in front of him was just a Spark.
'…is he fucking with me at this point?' Klaus facepalmed as he looked at the night sky as well.
"Is there even anything you can teach me?" His question made Zephyr cough in embarrassment.
'Right…what did I expect,' usually the people that become strong so young its due to pure talent.
"Say, why did you massacre your family?" Klaus finally asked, he hadn't forgotten the revelation Jen did in the forest.
However Zephyr didn't give the reaction he expected, he just chuckled once then sat down onto the ground whilst fidgeting with…a rock that he made float in between his fingers.
"There is an easy explanation," he launched the rock up into the sky and it floated in place.
'Terrifying control..'
"I became the family clan head, and…the clan was far too weak to keep up with me. So I got rid of the deadweight," He snapped his finger and the rock increased in size, drastically. So much that it started taking shape.
'What the fuck,' Klaus has never seen anything like this.
"Was it worth it?" His question was simple and Zephyr didn't hesitate at all.
"Yes, since I'm special, i'm not just a mage," The shape it took finally was a sword, a full stone sword.
It fell and landed in Zephyr's hand.
"I'm a mixture of a warrior as well I guess?" He chuckled then swung the sword once, he didn't cut anything with it but that one swing carried insane amounts of power, Klaus felt it in his bones.
"You know I could teach yo—"
"Not interested," Klaus put a hand up instantly refusing his offer.
"Huh," even Zephyr was surprised.
"At most I want to be able to use my body as a weapon, and a sword, only to the basics though," He said whilst drawing circles on the ground.
"So hand to hand combat and swordmastery, doable, why though?" Zephyr chuckled as he kept swinging the stone sword, which made a sound so sharp each time Klaus's ears felt like bleeding.
"Mages are far superior compared to warriors," Klaus smiled as he remembered the times when he rolled through every kind of warrior as a top mage.
"Hmm, not necessarily, both have their strengths and weaknesses," Zephyr's statement was true, Klaus just didn't want to admit it due to his personal bias. However if he wanted to become the strongest he had to set some of that bias aside.
"Like I said, the basics," He smiled and Zephyr nodded with a smirk.
"Throw a punch at me," He said whilst spreading his hands, leaving his chest open.
'Can't be that hard,' Klaus pushed himself up from the ground and got into position.
"Get ready," He said and Zephyr nodded without even budging.
He swung his arm back then gathering all his rage and pent up anger he launched his fist at Zephyr's abdomen.
The punch didn't even land on Zephyr, it stopped inches before him, however Klaus's hand struck an invisible wall which made his fist wobble in pain.
"FUCK," His knuckles nearly exploded from the pain as he instantly clutched his hand.
It felt burning, like flames were running down his hand.
"Oops, I forgot.." Zephyr chuckled awkwardly as he looked at the panting Klaus.
"What do you mean forgot…" A vein visibly throbbed on his forehead as a cold gust of wind suddenly nearly blew his remaining clothes apart.
"Hm?" Zephyr turned his head, not towards Klaus but a different direction.
'What's he looking at?' Klaus turned as well, and then he noticed a woman floating in the night sky, watching them.
She had insanely long red hair and ruby like eyes, her outfit was plain and simple, a white shirt with obsidian black pants.
"Who is that—"
"It's been a while Klara," Zephyr yelled with an insanely wide grimace waving at the woman before Klaus could even ask.
'Klara?' He had no clue who she was, however from her gaze she did not look friendly.
"Hey kid, this is about to get messy," Zephyr said whilst chuckling as his obsidian eyes started fading into silver.
"Is she here to fight?" He tracked the woman named Klara however she just floated in the air.
"This isn't going to be a fight, just a one sided beating," He chuckled as the surrounding air started changing, it became more ominous.
'The hell?' It felt suffocating, like his body was being punctured and crushed by thousands of needles.
"Don't kid yourself," Klara finally spoke as some kind of a red liquid started circling her.
"Blood veil," she said and the liquid launched toward them faster than Klaus could even follow.
Before it could hit them though Zephyr raised his hand blocking the attack without budging from his place.
'Record spell!' He yelled inside his mind as the blood was still moving around them, trying to penetrate Zephyr's defenses.
[Blood veil recorded!]
[Record Spell available again in 15 minutes.]
